Then return a short distance to the quiet of your mountain getaway.
Great views with a cozy feel. Even got snow on our last day.
What a quaint, relaxing place hidden in the hills of Newland! Located near local attractions & tree farms, this vacation rental will be a place our family returns and our friends will all hear about. Thank you for the “warm and cozy” atmosphere and the amenities to secure a relaxing family time and adventure.
Our stay was incredible, centrally located about 15-20 minutes from Linville falls and caverns, close to Boone and banner elk. As described, definitely felt like home away from home. We went in late October, the view of the scenery was beautiful from our living room window. The host was very helpful in giving directions as gps only takes you so far. Definitely would need 4wheel drive if it was very wet or snowing, our 2 wheel drive SUV tires spun a little during the rain going up to the property. Very quiet and peaceful stay
Beautiful part of the country. We will be back
This place is incredibly cozy! We stayed here on a weekend trip to visit the Autumn at Oz festival over on Beech Mountain. It has an old cabin feel to it and kinda feels like you stepped back in time a bit. Everything was clean and easy to locate. The beds and living room furniture were comfortable. It rained some of the later half of the day on Saturday and Sunday morning, so we didn't get to a chance to sit outside. Quick replies from Deb when we had issues. We'll definitely be back in the future for a stay!
The owners were over the top with communication and helpfulness. The property was clean, beds were comfortable, and the view is outstanding. I couldn’t have asked for more!
As always the hosts are so amazing and the house is such a warm, beautiful and peaceful place surrounded with trees and beautiful mountains.
We arrived late at night and the hosts were most considerate to turn on all the lights and unlock the door so that we were not struggling in the dark. We had a most comfortable stay with beautiful views of the mountains. We highly recommend this property.
We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of pillows, blankets, and towels, beds were comfy. The views are definitely the best part of this home. GTK:The drive up is pretty steep, I would be concerned getting there in heavy rain or snow.
Beautiful place deep in the mountains very very small town but very charming and cute
Loved the house, very unique. Loved the views. Wintertime you would need 4 wheel drive since the road is steep but paved. Enjoyed our stay a lot. Kitchen very well stocked.
I had such a wonderful experience at this beautiful and peaceful place. The hosts are so amazing.
This is a nice place with beautiful views. I came up to do some writing on a book and this was the perfect place to do it. Very peaceful. There was wood all ready for a fire in the fire pit so I enjoyed that as I watched the sun set. Communication with the owners was good and check in was easy. Thank you for a great stay!
Beautiful property. The hime was adorable and cozy. It may have been the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in outside of home! The window views were fantastic. Rocking chairs beside the first were adorable. Location is under 45 minutes drive from MANY fantastic trails. Great place to stay while hiking. Hosts were very easy to work with and extremely responsive.
Great location and convenient to shopping and skiing. Great communication with the owner. Beautiful views from the house! Just glad it didn’t snow while we were there because it’s quite an incline to get up the mountain to the house! ?
We absolutely loved our stay. The home was clean, comfortable, and had lots of little perks. It felt like staying at my grandma’s house in all the best possible ways. There was wood in the fire pit and more in a bin, candy canes for my little boys, coffee filters for my husband. I’ve stayed at some vacation homes that were bare and I’ve had to purchase everything but not here! There was dish soap, laundry detergent, and lots of little things that made it feel like a home away from home. Our hosts were also very kind and concerned with regards to our safety getting down the mountain being that we’re from Florida and we had icy/snowy weather during our stay. We look forward to coming to stay again!
We had a wonderful time. The house is so cute and cozy. We love the beautiful view. We sure will be back.
This property is located at the top of the hill so it overlooks the town and the mountains across from it. It has 180° view of the smoky mountains! I would stay in this house again spring summer and fall but winter the road could be difficult at times because it’s one lane and a bit steep if snow covered. I never had a problem but it would be better spring summer and fall. The owners are over the top when it comes to hospitality. Really loved the roominess inside and fire pit outside.
Cozy house nestled in the mountain. Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world but close to main attractions. The only caveat, I did not realize the steep steps going to the front door was the only entry. My mother was traveling with me and had a hard time with this.
This was my send time staying here and it was better than last year. The new vinyl plank flooring and area rugs made the place seem homier. Love that it is convenient to all the places I love to hike and the Orchard at Altapass. The owners are wonderful people. I hope to boe able to come back again next year.
We just had the greatest time at this place in the Grandfather Mountain region! The view from the living/dining area is fantastic, and the place has everything you could possibly need, even for a longer stay like ours. Definitely recommend!
The house had beautiful views and was close to everything we wanted to visit during our stay. It was very clean and the host was easy to communicate with. We had a great time.
