Nice house in a private area close to Wisp. House could use some updating.

Very good- love the area and cooler weather

For a large family, it’s great….the family room, kitchen and dining area is spacious for the amount of people we had. The furniture and area rug in the family room could use a good cleaning or replacement, the 2 wicker chairs could be replaced(very uncomfortable). The outdoor area was spacious and did have enough seating for our group.

Let me start by saying this was a large house and great for hanging out with a big group, loved the location. The property lacked in cleanliness and upkeep. When we arrived, dishes in the cabinets were visibly dirty with stains and caked on food, the coffee maker was not cleaned and still had old coffee grinds. The rug in the family room is in need of replacement or a good cleaning, the microwave was not working, in the master bathroom tub the sprayer was not working, the hot tub one of the jets was not working. The A/C was hard to regulate, temperature was set at 72 on all thermostats, basement was so cold got down to 56……. And temps on the other floors were ok. The bunk room downstairs has futon mattresses which are very uncomfortable.

Overall a pretty good experience! Beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. There are no bedrooms on the main level which is ok but made it a little difficult for my elderly parents (climbing stairs). The patio area under the deck stays wet/moist making it a breeding ground for mosquitoes so take bug spray. It wouldn’t prevent us from renting again but it was a little bit of a nuisance. Love the extra refrigerator and the “utility” room, it was so awesome having that!

I originally booked this house about 2 months ahead of time and since we had never been to Deep Creek, I had many questions about the property. The person answering emails would avoid some of my questions and then just stopped answering them altogether. I ended up calling and got the answers I needed. The house is beautiful, although to be completely honest, it could use someone to organize the kitchen, upgrade the kitchen faucet and replace ALL of the beds. We had 10 people in our party and EVERY complaint was about how awful the beds were. When we first arrived and walked around the place we immediately talked about booking again for next year...but after sleeping in the awful beds, we would probably try to find a different property. It really is a beautiful home, and if you don’t care about a crappy bed, you’ll love it! 🙂

remote location, amazing property.

Have an amazing weekend at this house. Community was warm and friendly. Roads good for walks and many people to meet. Many activities to do in the area. Will definitely be returning.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a great experience. The house was beautiful, clean and wonderfully cared for. It was also in a great (yet remote) location. The only disappointment was the lack of care and communication from the rental company. On our first morning there, we had a gentleman show up to service the dishwasher. While the gentleman was nice, we were given no notice and (being that we were all woman staying alone) we felt a tad uncomfortable. The other was on our checkout day. Checkout was at 10AM. At 9AM, the Taylor-Made truck showed up, and a man started walking around the property. He then proceeded to come into the house, UNINVITED, through the back door. Again, ALL WOMEN, staying at this house alone- and a man walks in from the outside without an invitation. The experience booking and leading up to our rental was wonderful and the staff was very accommodating. However, I was completely put off by the aforementioned two experiences.
