Dining & Local Flavors

Breakfast: Start like a local at McKay Cottage Restaurant for award-winning hashes, Jackson’s Corner for farm-to-table comfort, or Chow for creative local dishes. For a sophisticated twist, try the globally-inspired brunch at The Lemon Tree downtown.

Dinner: Enjoy Wild Rose Northern Thai Eats for vibrant flavors, Brickhouse for premier steak and seafood, or Hawkeye & Huckleberry Lounge for wood-fired fare and a lively vibe.

Food Carts & Drinks: For a true Bend experience, visit The Podski or Crosscut Warming Hut No. 5 at the Box Factory. Both offer a fantastic variety of food carts and local craft beers in a fun, communal atmosphere. You can also explore the legendary Bend Beer Trail, featuring Deschutes Brewery and Bend Brewing Co.

Shopping

Old Mill District: Riverside shopping with high-end brands, boutiques, and a cinema set against historic fuel chimneys. Visit Confluence Fly Shop for expert river advice and gear.

Downtown Bend: Charming streets filled with art galleries, specialized gear shops, and unique boutiques.

Adventure & Sightseeing

Deschutes River: Join the summer tradition of floating the river starting at Drake Park.

Mountain Biking: Explore the nearby Phils Trail Complex for iconic high-desert riding or head to Tiddlywinks for flow lines and technical features.

Mt. Bachelor: A short, scenic drive for winter skiing or summer downhill biking.

High Desert Museum: A must-visit for families and nature lovers, located just south of town.

Property Areas & Outdoor Access

Entire Home: Guests have full access to this spacious 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath house.

17-Acre Private Estate: The property is situated at the end of a road on 17 secluded acres, providing breathtaking views of Mt. Bachelor.

Backyard Trail Access: Miles of mountain bike trails are located literally in the backyard for guest use.

Oversized Deck: An expansive deck area features a private hot tub (available year-round), outdoor seating, and mountain views.

Garage & Storage: Guests can use the garage to store outdoor equipment like bikes, boats, and ski gear. A garage remote is provided for easy access.

Inside the Home
Great Room: This spacious central living area features soaring ceilings and large windows that frame the incredible views of Mt. Bachelor. It’s the perfect spot to gather by the cozy fireplace after a day of adventure.

Gourmet Kitchen: A fully equipped, modern kitchen provides everything needed for group meals, featuring ample counter space and high-end appliances.

Primary Suite: A serene sanctuary featuring a king-sized bed, high-quality linens, and a private en-suite bathroom for ultimate relaxation.

Guest Bedrooms: Two additional comfortable bedrooms are designed with guest rest in mind, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for up to 7 guests total.

Outdoor & Extra Spaces
Expansive Deck: Step outside to a massive deck area, home to your private hot tub where you can soak under the stars while taking in the high-desert silence.

The Garage: This versatile space includes a ping pong table for evening fun and plenty of room to securely store your bikes, skis, and outdoor gear.

17-Acre Grounds: Explore your own private 17-acre estate, featuring a horseshoe pit, brick patio with a Solo Stove, and direct access to miles of mountain bike trails right from the backyard.

Arrival & Parking: Our retreat is located at the end of a private road, ensuring ultimate seclusion. The large driveway offers ample space for up to 4+ vehicles, with plenty of room for those towing trailers or boats.

Vehicle Recommendations: While the road is well-maintained, we recommend a vehicle with 4WD or AWD during the winter months to safely navigate Central Oregon’s snow and ice.

Proximity to Bend: Though you’ll feel worlds away on your 17-acre estate, you are only a short drive from the heart of town.

Old Mill District & Downtown: Approximately 10–15 minutes away for world-class dining and shopping.

Mt. Bachelor: A straightforward 25–30 minute drive to the parking lot for skiing or mountain biking.

Rideshare Services: Uber and Lyft both operate in the Bend area. Guests have noted that while it is a quick Uber into town, being removed from the city center allows for better stargazing and relaxation.

Cycling: For the active guest, you have direct access to miles of mountain bike trails right from the backyard. If you're heading into town, many of Bend’s main hubs are accessible via nearby paved bike paths.

Pets: Please inquire before bringing pets. We approve well-behaved pets on a case-by-case basis, provided they are never left unattended in the home.

Smoking: This is a strictly smoke-free property. No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the home.

Quiet Setting: Nestled on 17 private acres at the end of the road, this home is a sanctuary for those seeking peace. While neighbors are within line of sight across the beautiful canyon, we observe quiet hours from 11 PM to 8 AM to preserve the tranquil atmosphere. For your safety and security, cameras are located at the front and back doors.

Housekeeping: We want your departure to be as relaxing as your arrival. We only ask that you start the dishwasher and take all trash to the bins conveniently located in the circular drive.

Left Items: While we are not responsible for forgotten items, we will do our best to return them if notified promptly. Please perform a thorough walkthrough before checkout to ensure you have all your belongings.

Amenities: Enjoy our selection of games, puzzles, and cards; please keep sets together for the next guest's enjoyment. Outside, you’ll find a horseshoe pit and a ping pong table in the garage.

Garage: Feel free to use the garage to store your outdoor gear—perfect for bikes, boats, and skis. A remote is provided for easy access; please remember to check the space for gear before you head home!

Fire Pit: For cozy evenings, choose between the gas firepit on the back deck or the wood-burning Solo Stove on the brick patio. Note: To ensure community safety, the Solo Stove is unavailable during summer months due to high fire risk. We strictly follow all county fire restrictions.

Unique Features: Take in stunning Mt. Bachelor views, soak in the private hot tub under the stars, or explore backyard trail access from your end-of-road retreat.

Local Tips: Explore the Old Mill District for shopping and river walks, float the Deschutes at Drake Park, or grab a local breakfast at McKay Cottage or Jackson’s Corner.

We want your stay to be relaxing, comfortable, and memorable. Please treat our home with care and enjoy everything Bend has to offer!

This property was a magical place to spend the weekend with family. The view was amazing, sitting in the hot tub watching the sunset! High quality everything from the sheets to cookware to decor. We had trouble getting on with door code but host was immediately responsive and got us in shortly after. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!

We joined family who are Bend residents for Thanksgiving. This house was a mile from them and a very nice place to stay. The views are wonderful and the house was everything we needed

This house was on an amazing lot with beautiful scenery all around. It had everything we could’ve possibly needed. Perfect for any size family. Close to town and still able to get Instacart. Every drawer has something you could use including an amazing cleaning closet. We talked, laughed and cried it was like being at home and would love to stay another time to explore bikes and trails.

I was a little nervous since this place didn’t have many reviews. It was amazing!! The cleanest rental property I’ve ever stayed at. The house is beautiful and the view from the back patio is great. The hot tub worked perfect. This would be a good place to stay with a bigger group as there is quite a bit of space. No complaints!
