West Yellowstone, Montana
The Mountain View Lodge is a relatively new luxury log home/chalet which backs up to the Gallatin National Forest on a quiet dead-end street and only minutes from the West Gate of Yellowstone National Park. The home has a great view of Lionshead Peak and the surrounding mountains of the Continental Divide. It has 1,750 sq ft of living space, including 3 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Laundry Room, Family Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Sleeping Loft plus over 700 sq ft of covered side porch and open deck to enjoy the beautiful mountain views! Consistently rated favorably - e.g., "Ready to see the Milky Way This property was very comfortable and felt like home from the minute we arrived. There was plenty of seating inside and on the deck. The bedrooms were very comfortable and roomy. There are a few rentals/homes in the area, but nothing close enough to be a bother. The stars were amazing!! It's been a long time since we had seen the night sky with so little light pollution. Our son had his telescope and we enjoyed star gazing and seeing a comet. We also had an unexpected and shy visitor on our deck....a fox!! We highly recommend staying at this home when visiting Yellowstone."
Beautifully decorated in a rustic mountain lodge theme with all new furniture, fixtures and household items. Ideally suited for up to 6 adults plus children for a maximum party size of 10 (Note: Groups including more than 6 adults require owner notification and approval prior to booking). The house and location were absolutely perfect and gorgeous for our Christmas family vacation. We wanted out of the way but close enough to get to the basics. Small quiet town nearby, views from the glass front of the cabin were fantastic. House was stocked with everything we could possibly need with a few small exceptions of modern non necessities like a Keurig (lol). Plan on making the trip again and we will definitely be booking one of their beautiful cabins. Thanks again.
The property was just as advertised. Very quiet location, though conveniently close to the West Yellowstone entrance. Beds were very comfortable. 3 bathrooms helped to meet our schedule... Fully stocked kitchen had everything needed. Communication with Kevin was pleasant (and quick).
Our family of seven, (5 kids ages 5-16) had a great stay in this cabin and a fantastic visit to Yellowstone! This house is in a perfect location. The beds were super comfortable. The grill on the deck was great for grilling burgers and chicken. We were told to be sure to burn off any extra food on the grill to not attract bears. We did and didn't see any! The weeds were overgrown around the house/steps which made it tricky for the kids to pick up their ball after if rolled off the porch, but they made it through. The owner said he'll take care of that though for the next people. We had a couple of questions and the owner was friendly, extremely easy to get in touch with, and quick to reply. The house has some things provided which was nice. Paper towels, garbage bags, laundry soap, bathroom soap, some basic kitchen spices, and bear spray in the pantry! We had a great stay and are already excited about planning another Yellowstone trip! Thanks, Kevin, for the use of your house!
We spent a week in this wonderful mountain retreat durng February. The home was clean, beautifully furnished and well stocked. The property owner, Kevin, was very helpful and immediately responded to any questions we had. We spent the week snowmobiling and were thrilled that we could leave straight from our lodge with easy access to the groomed trails. The home is about 8 miles from West Yellowstone and our highlights included snowmobiling to West Yellowstone and enjoying lunch at the Buffalo Bar. The home is located in a quite neighborhood with ample parking and gorgeous views. We have already planned our return for next year. A special thank you to the Neal family for making our vacation so memorable!
This home/lodge/cabin is absolutely beautiful! Nestled among pine trees on an idyllic street. about 7 miles west of the city proper of West Yellowstone. Although you are in a subdivision of sorts, the homes do not invade on each other's views and solitude. We came to visit Yellowstone in the winter by taking snowmobile tours. If snowmobiling is your thing, the subdivision has trail access at the end of the street . The home was clean and many extras provided (or left) by the owners such as ample towels, soap, shampoo in each bathroom, dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, common spices, olive oil, so check cabinets first! A beautifully decorated home ! We visited Yellowstone a few years back and it is an entirely different experience in the winter months. I would definitely stay in this home if we get the chance to come back.
Spent 5 nights exploring the area. Great location for home base while in the area.
It’s what you think of as a mountain home. Road through the neighborhood can get a little slippery without an all wheel drive vehicle
Everything was as expected.
We had a great time. Easy access to snowmobile trails.
We wanted to stay off the beaten path and this was just perfect. Not far to town and worth all the views!!! Great hosts, highly recommend!!!
