Mountain Perch Near Town W/ Scenic Deck, Free WiFi, Full Kitchen & Fire Table

The view was amazing

Beautiful views. We were provided with basic utensil necessities, set of towels, starter cleaning kit, you name it. Very organized.

Million Dollar View!!! Had a great stay and plan on booking again. Plenty of room for short and long term stay. The kitchen is updated, with a good amount of counter space for cooking and serving a full house. A couple more trash bags and paper towels would be nice. No place is perfect. HaHa Was clean and ready for our stay. I liked that 2 additional propane tanks had been provided. The place could use some new dinning room chairs, along with some other minor upkeep maintenance. One of those would be hammering down the deck nails. This would not take very long, providing a safer place for bare feet. The pluses far out weigh the few minor negatives I have mentioned and again will be back again. I was visiting family in Charlotte, who stay with me and plan on beating me back. Unfortunately they had to do some work while up there. They found the WiFi as billed and more than enough to enjoy work with a Million Dollar View!

Beautiful views cozy home

We needed a space to hold 8 people. We needed a space with minimal stairs for my 84 year old mother. Lots of space for everyone. It took time and searching looking for a needle in a haystack. But this home was a perfect fit. So happy to have found this location. We look forward to returning in the future.

Clean, spacious and beautiful view! Issues with appliances and furniture needs replacement. Poor communication with local VACASA office!

The location was great, sugar mountain fireworks off the back porch were amazing. The home left a bit to be desired.

Place had a beautiful view and accommodations. Window was out in one of the bedrooms with plexiglass taped in, which made room cold, but I am sure they have fixed now. Overall loved our stay.

We loved the access to the main level from parking area requiring no steps to navigate. The furniture was very comfortable. The views were absolutely stunning. The keypad did not work and we had to get assistance to access the lock box once we arrived. Only 2 TV's were available in the entire home. We were unable to get any volume from the main TV and for avid sports and news watchers this was very inconvenient. After trouble shooting we realized it was the cable box on the main flo. With a simple swap we were able to adjust, however this was 24 hrs into our stay. The TV's are of good quality but not updated. The second night of our stay, a storm came and the roof had a significant leak that required us to place trash cans underneath to catch the water and clean up what was pooled onto the floor. It is evident that this was not the first leak as the hardwood boards are beginning to cup at this area. The management entity responded quickly to our request for propane and lighter to utilize the fire pit and assist with keypad entry. With that being said, continuing to offer this property at a standard rate without providing information of possible leak in event of rainstorm is not exactly a truthful representation of the property. A few updates with TV's and fixing the leak would make this the absolute perfect place to create wonderful memories. Unfortunately for us, we spent more time trying to get odds and ends fixed rather than relaxing when at the home.

Great stay! House needs to have carpet cleaned but otherwise clean. Also needs gas for firepit and fireplace. Kitchen needs pot holders and kitchen towels and Master Bath shower head needs repair

Took our aging parents to make some memories. Wonderful views, beautiful home would live a return visit.

Terrific view. Nice home.

Water was frozen all weekend and they told us they'd give us a night free stay and move us into a just as good, if not better place and tried to put us in a shack 45 minutes away from where we were staying. Also all the dishes from the previous stay were still in the dish washer and not put away. Still no refund or anything 2 weeks later after I called a week ago and VRBO said I would get a text or message saying something.

Fire pit on deck, the beds were very comfy, the ice maker, and of course the view.

This is a lovely property with gorgeous views. There is plenty of space to accomodate a larger group. Loved having a dedicated office area where some of us could work and still sneak in a little fun too!

We only stayed for the weekend for a baseball tournament. Really didn't get to enjoy the home, but it was nice. Great view, beautiful area. Had a few annoyances with the home which is why I only rated it 4 stars. Things that should have been noticed by people cleaning and fixed before anyone else uses the property.

The home was clean, had a gorgeous view and was so convenient to Banner Elk and the top of Beech Mountain. We visited many sites but I could have stayed on the deck all day long.

This home was lovely. One of my favorite things was driving right up to the front, no steps to navigate while taking everything inside. The home is beautiful and comfortable and the view from the deck is gorgeous; we even had a rainbow over the mountains during our stay. We saw deer every day in the neighborhood. Loved shopping at Fred's Mercantile and there are several good restaurants nearby. Our stay was wonderful and I highly recommend this home.

We really enjoyed Mountain Perch. The view is fantastic with Grandfather Mountain almost in the center of 180 degree mountain expanse. The home itself is well maintained & comfortable. We would have liked to have had a cheat sheet on how the inside gas fireplace worked. On our second day we found an owner’s manual for the fireplace. We may be the only people in the US without cable TV so it took us a while to figure that out also. Vacasa staff were quick to help us enter the house via key access when the code & recoding the lock failed. They also came promptly with propane gas for the fire pit table & grill.

The view is awesome in a clear day. House was nice, furniture comfortable. The seating and fireplace in living room was so warm and cozy. Large dining table. The kitchen description in the listing is overrated- If you are a cook, bring your own frypan and bakeware. Also advise bringing a couple of extra blankets for the bed. Driving to The house the road has a number of tight turns, the lane is narrow, but all is doable if you take your time. Eleven in the rain clouds obscuring the view a couple of days, we enjoyed this mountain home.
