Mountain Joy - a pet-friendly, cozy, and charming cabin nestled on 2.5 acres of private wooded land with built in trail system for guests to explore. Located in a quiet neighborhood abundant in wildlife that forages throughout the day. The location is perfect for those who love to be surrounded by nature, and if fishing is your passion, the Payette Riverwalk is less than a quarter mile away and is ideal for casting a line and reeling in some impressive catches.

Inside, you'll find everything you need to enjoy a comfortable stay - including fast internet for your browsing and streaming needs. The property includes a variety of outdoor activities including a canoe for exploring the river, a sledding hill (and sleds) for the winter months, and yard games such as cornhole for the warmer seasons.

Live, lounge, and dine in surroundings bright with natural light. Ward off the chill on winter days and summer evenings around the wood-burning stove. Soak in the private outdoor hot tub, or bundle up and circle round a campfire out back where a morning or afternoon cup of coffee can be savored. Whether the weather is cooperating or not, you can always enjoy the outdoors from either of the covered front or back decks.

Cozy accommodations for up to 8 guests in three comfortably appointed bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs is the master bedroom with queen bed and backyard access. Guests will also find a hall access tub/shower combo bathroom. Upstairs are the two guest bedrooms – one with a queen, full, and twin sized bed, and the second guest bedroom with one queen and one twin-sized bed. The upstairs hall access bathroom features a spacious shower.

Well-equipped kitchen has plenty of room for a chef or two without getting in each other's way. Serve up a great meal at the counter, dining room table, or out back al fresco during the summer months. The neighborhood's paved roads make for comfortable walking or biking outdoors, and guests are just a quarter mile to the local rail trail trailhead – a great spot for walking, biking, or Nordic skiing. Thrill seekers will find The Activity Barn sledding hill less than a half mile up the road. Take a tour of the nearby McCall Smokejumper Base and be sure to tell our wild land firefighters “thanks!” for all they do. Downtown McCall shopping and dining can be found four and a half miles north of the property – close enough for convenience, but far enough away to ensure peace, quiet, and wooded privacy for guests during their McCall vacation.

The Payette Riverwalk is less than a quarter mile away - 41 acres of riverfront property located at 250 Moonridge Drive. This land is protected under a conservation easement held by the Payette Land Trust, which protects the river from development, conserves wildlife habitat, and allows responsible access to the river. The Payette Riverwalk is now open to the public for bike and pedestrian traffic - no motor vehicles. People can fish, paddleboard, float the Payette for 2 hours by launching at the Red Bridge and taking out at Moonridge. 5 vehicle parking is available, and it is just a short walk from this property.

We had a great time at Mountain Joy Cabin! It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We used the trails around the cabin every day during our stay which our dogs loved since they got to be off leash. The back yard is huge, and deer traveled through quite often. Trip communication from the host was wonderful, they were helpful. Would definitely rent again!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy little cabin! It was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to linens and bedding. The neighborhood was peaceful and welcoming, and we especially loved relaxing in the hot tub, sitting around the fire pit, and watching wildlife pass through the yard.Check-in and check-out were super easy, and the whole process was smooth. The carpet did have some wear and a few stains, which is pretty typical for a well-loved rental, but it didn’t affect our overall experience at all.We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Very clean, inside and outside of the property. Well stocked. Loved the layout of the cabin. The upper bunk room was a hit with all of the grandkids. It was the perfect place for an enjoyable family getaway in the mountains. The check in and check out process was easy. The management team was professional, warm and proactive in welcoming us to the property. The cabin is located nearby the Payette river, great place to hike, canoe, paddleboard and fishing. Lots of trees surround the grounds that feature a well maintained lawn of green mowed grass. Back porch has chairs, tables, hot tub. Very relaxing! Saw lots of deer feeding nearby. Super experience. We would definitely return to the cabin. Highly recommend it.

Great location! Quiet, serene. Deer meandering through the yard all the time. Stayed here previously, so it obviously was a favorite spot.

Stayed at Mountain Joy over the 4th of July weekend. Was fun to be outside of the crowds of McCall but close enough that we could go downtown for fireworks. Beautiful cabin with very comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed playing a few rounds of corn hole. Neighborhood is quiet. Really close to the river trail, which is a very pleasant place to walk. The rental was very clean and well maintained. I would absolutely stay there again!

Phenomenal stay. Wild life roaming in the distance every morning as I ate breakfast on the porch. 5 min walk to the river with some great days of fly fishing, wood burning stove for the cool nights and hot tub in the evening. It was simply perfect. Only a few miles from town and mountainous scooped of ice cream and some great restaurants. I’ll definitely be back.

great location away from the hubbub of town but close enough to grocery shop or eat out. House had everything we needed and then some. Fishing in the Payette river a short walk and sportsmans access fishing pond a 2 mile drive away. Fire pit and hot tub were hits with all. Would definitely stay here again.
