Jamestown, Colorado
Hi and thank you for your interest in 6251 Lefthand Canyon!
How to access the house type of info is below, and once inside you will find a more extensive card w/ additional info. Please feel free to make yourself entirely at home (e.g., make use of the staple foods, oils, spices, whatever is around)! If you can't find something, just open drawers or closets until you are successful. Towels and toilet paper are typically in the bathroom closet.
A couple of updates: the info card inside the house is somewhat outdated, and a new one is in the works. In the meantime, there is no longer (unfortunately) a kegerator in the house. Regarding checkout: please put all trash items inside of regular kitchen trash bags, then place these in the brown plastic trash bin in the garage. Similarly, please (rinse out then) place all recyclables inside the metal container in the garage. Rinsing is *very* important, to keep the bears away.
Also, if you have a few moments and can start a load of sheets / towels prior to your checkout, this greatly helps out the housecleaner and helps her finish her job in a timely manner. Please let us know if you intend to check out early, so that we can pass this onto the housecleaner. Thank you!!!
Heads up that winters can be very snowy! If you are coming from warm, beautiful, sunny places, let me know if you need any tips re: snowy life. Namely, PLEASE don’t walk / drive on any fresh snow whatsoever… shovel first :). Otherwise, it turns to ice and can take forever to melt, especially in shady places, which are common in the mtns. Apologies if you knew all of this already.
Access to the house is provided by a digital lockbox code: 111819. If you arrive at night, be sure to have flashlight (cell phone or whatever), as it is DARK at my house! Directions are below. In the event batteries have failed on the front door keyless entry, there is a backup physical key sitting outside of back door: 123890. Please do not use this key unless you are locked out.
Please bear in mind that this house is seasonally my primary residence and as such, I only rent to responsible adults. I kindly ask that you treat the house with care / like your own home. Thank you so much for understanding and I hope you have a wonderful visit!
Any questions, I'll be in and out of cell phone range: 909.532.6075. If you cannot reach me, please contact my wife Whitney: 303.718.4506. I hope you enjoy your stay and I think you will! It's a great spot. Make yourself at home!!

Pros: nice, clean house. Plenty of space. 20 minutes from Boulder. Beautiful canyon location. One Con that turned into a Pro for me was disconnecting with a good book while we were there. Cons: No TV or microwave. Not many windows have curtains - which gives me the creeps at night. Close to road.
Sweet little house tucked in the mountain. Loved it!
Great location. Nothing fancy, great place!
Our stay at Erin's mountain home near Jamestown was really fantastic. The overall space is very well appointed and we loved that there were a couple of guitars hanging on the wall that are there to be played by her guests if they so choose. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and there were plenty of spices in the spice rack that are available for use as well- along with coffee in the cupboard which was really a nice touch. The one bathroom is clean and roomy and easily shared with the other couple that was staying with us. What we really enjoyed was the outdoor shower behind the house. What a really nice surprise that was. The only thing I would change would be the fact that there was a motorcycle rally taking place somewhere in the general vicinity which meant there were a lot of very load motorcycles that came past the house early on Saturday morning. Because the house just sits off the road there was no way to avoid the sounds from motorcycles or trucks that passed by. I do highly recommend this mountain home. It is in a great area of Colorado, close to Jamestown, Boulder, and Lyons with lots and lots to do.
The home was lovely! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cottage was great. The property is beautiful and feels remote, but close enough to Boulder to stroll, shop and eat. We were very comfortable in the cottage. It was different not having a microwave or hairdryer, but we made due. It was nice to disconnect. Tip: take a screen shot of the access code before you arrive. We didn’t have cell service with with T-Mobile or Verizon. Wi-Fi is available once inside. Also couldn’t find the outside trash cans. We finally figured out we needed to stash trash inside the garage, but there were still no trash cans to be found.
Nice cabin/house. Close enough to Boulder to go to lunch, dinner, shopping etc., but far enough away to seem remote. Excellent communication with owner.
Really enjoyed the house, location and responsiveness from host.
Great property, cozy small cabin like home with all the amenities for a fun relaxing getaway!
Really lovely house in the quiet forest of the mountains. The deck is amazing to star gaze at night, and there is a creek across the street to cool one's feet on a hot day. We felt very comfortable at Erin's house, and really enjoyed our time. The kitchen had all the cooking and spice essentials for making meals. The drive to and from Boulder is absolutely beautiful- this is a gem!
Love the place...could use some additional lighting.
Interesting property in a great location. Evenings were quiet and dark, just like wanted. Good location for visiting Boulder City, hiking trails in the area, and Rocky Mountain National Park.
Beautiful spot nestled in the mountains and perfect for our family to gather and play games and share a meal. It was very easy to communicate with the Erin!
