Mountain Cottage in Resort Setting

What a cozy cottage! A perfect location, spotless, quaint and everything we needed to cook. We were minutes away from Sugar Mountain (went snowtubing!) the caverns, and Linville falls where we went hiking. The fire pit was a perfect ending to the cold days.

Loved this cabin in the woods. It was perfectly stocked with everything we needed.

Glenn was most accommodating. We specifically had trout fishing in mind for our holiday. With Glenn's help we had an excellent weekend. We arrived and had no problem getting our permits and starting our adventure. Excellent fishing and excellent accommodations. We were most pleased with everything.

Great little cozy cottage.

Perfect little house in a beautiful quaint neighborhood with hiking trails, rec center, kayaking/canoeing, and even a little restaurant

House was very clean and comfortable. It was nicely decorated. Kitchen contained everything needed for cooking. Host was very friendly. The pool and beach were nice, weather permitting. There were charges of 20 /day for fishing. Fishing was poor, not stocked in some time. There was a fee to use the dog park. A permit was needed (and unavailable)to leave a boat by the lake. The stream was more than a mile from the house, as were all facilities. Mountain Weather was very rainy daily, afternoon thunderstorms were common.The area including surrounding towns is densely populated.

Love the peace, the coziness and amenities of this cottage in Linville Land Harbor. Quirky roads all tangled here and there and the very individual cottages make it even better. A nice morning with coffee on the porch swing is my favorite part of the stay.

This place was amazing! My friends and I went snowboarding at Sugar Mountain and it was a 20 min drive from the mountain. We were able to cook every meal and had everything we needed.

Nice place would book again

I loved this property. It is cozy and has a bathroom with tub as well as another toilet off a bedroom, which to me was a bonus. Lots of space outside on three sides of the house to relax and enjoy the outdoors too. We made use of the front porch swing in the mornings when it was cool out. Nice that the kitchen does have essentials and I didn't have to run to the store for those. Nice owner who is quick to respond.

We really enjoyed our stay! Would recommend.

The cottage itself was nice and adequate for our needs (a quite weekend away) Housekeeping was something to be desired. Had some nice outside areas, covered front porch, side patio and rear deck, but took some work to get them cleaned up because of all the surrounding vegetation debris. The vegetation is nice because it gives you a little more feeling of privacy even though the houses are very close together but it does make a mess. The area is very nice. there is a nice pool, a beautiful lake with a beach area. Limited selection of restaurants close by if you like to eat out . All in all, it was a nice weekend.
