Tucked onto Telluride's quieter west end, Smuggler F is a three-bedroom-plus-loft condo with a real mountain-cabin soul — vaulted wood ceilings, exposed beams, skylights pouring light into the upper level, and a wood-burning stove anchoring the living room. Two and a half blocks from the base of Lift 7 (a 3-minute walk with skis in hand), the location is what serious skiers come to Telluride for: ski day done, condo waiting, no shuttle required.

Inside, the main level opens intoan L-shaped living room with leather seating, a long farmhouse-style dining table that seats eight, and a full kitchen ready for everything from morning coffee runs to a proper après-ski spread. The primary bedroom sits down the hall with a king bed, a private bath with double vanity, and a shower/tub combo. A second bedroom holds a queen, and a third — the bunk room — is built for the kids with two sets of twin-over-twin bunks. A shared hallway bath with double vanity rounds out the main level.

Up the stairs, a sunlit loft tucks under the eaves with a queen bed, skylights, and a private deck that opens onto a treetop perch — peekaboo glimpses of the ski mountain through the aspens, full quiet otherwise. Across the building, the Smuggler complex offers shared ski locker access and a communal hot tub set in a stained-glass-enclosed sunroom — exactly the kind of warm-up spot legs need after a long day on the lifts.

The west-end location pulls double duty. Clark's Market sits right next door for grocery runs (no car required), and Telluride's main street — restaurants, galleries, shops, the Michael D. Palm Theatre — is a 10-to-15-minute walk east along Colorado Avenue. The free gondola to Mountain Village is roughly half a mile away, opening up summer hiking and additional dining once the lifts stop spinning.

Whether it's a winter ski week, a film-festival weekend, or a summer base camp for hiking and Jeep tours through the San Juans, Smuggler F gives a group of ten the space, the location, and the slow-burning mountain charm that turn a Telluride trip into a tradition.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This place was perfect for our group of 8 adults. The location is great! It’s a very short walk to the Coonskin lift and also super close to the snow-covered but very walkable river trail where our dog loved to run. All the restaurants and shops in town are also close enough to walk and the grocery store is literally a block away.

    We had a lovely summer stay at Smuggler F. The condo is in a perfect location across from Clark's, and town is about a 15 minute walk away, along either the streets or the river walk. The property was as pictured, with lots of light and space. The bathrooms were updated with new showers and serviceable sinks and toilets, but the kitchen was very tired except for an updated dishwasher. A new cutting board and some new/additional spoons and knives would go a long way. Very clean floors, beds, and surfaces. We would stay here again. AvantStay did a great job of providing check-in/check-out instructions and communication.

    We went during the peak weekend for fall color change and it was gorgeous! Plenty of warm weather and great hiking weather. The grocery store was half a block from our condo. The walk into town was too far for us to walk so we drove into town most of the time. But still doable if you are younger than we are. The condo has a flight of stairs to the door and two flights of stairs inside. If you are not a stair person, find another place. But the place was functional for us with plenty of room. The kitchen could use some more replenishing of dishes, silverware, and glassware. There were only 4 mismatched wine glasses. 2 of my children could make it. If they had we wouldn't have enough wineglasses for everyone nor spoons. The address numbers on the unit say 762 instead of 766 which Avant gave us as an address. Our stay was delightful and laidback.

    Loved everything about this property. The location and proximity to the hill & downtown + overall setup. Perfect for a long weekend ski trip with a group of friends. The only knock on the place was that it was a little dirty when we arrived and wasn’t fully cleaned.

    Spacious and comfortable condo in a great location. Walkable to everything downtown Telluride including the gondola. The condo was up two flights of stairs, but not a problem for our group. The unit was very spacious. Bathrooms were updated which was nice. The rest of the space and the kitchen/furnishings were somewhat dated but clean and comfortable. Overall great value and would recommend.

    very convenient to chair lift 7. Some minor deferred maintenance issues in the unit but nothing offensive. They should fix or replace the stove as two burners were out. In general the unit was very comfortable for our party of 5 and we enjoyed the stay and would consider renting the unit again.

    The location cannot be beat. Stayed here with a group of friends to ski Telluride. Close to town, close to the slopes. Overall the condo could use some serious updating and there were items that need attention. Nothing to interfere with our stay though so it was fine.
