Stayed Oct 1, 2025We came to Vermont to get away from it all and just be together in the woods. The house was our home for 5 days. Everything was perfect, nice Vermont vibe with comfy beds, well equipped kitchen (wowza coffee bar!) nice big fridge, washer dryer, our two dogs loved it and the yard was great for them. Its so quiet here and we had a bonfire every night. The first night was cold and we had a fire in the fireplace. (Buy your wood down the street at 7-11 for the less expensive) groceries at the local market in Wardsboro were reasonable. We hiked afew trails, the loop trail around Grout lake is about 2.5 miles and its a great combo of lake views and woods, easy trail. We also went to Jamaica State park theres a 5pp fee for a day pass but well worth it, parking with bathrooms and a playground, a nice easy flat hike along the river with spots to get down and wade or swim. It got to 80 degrees here in october! The weather was great! Wendy was fabulous in her response time and so friendly. We would highly recommend and hope to be back!! Thanks for a wonderful place to be!!!

Stayed Jul 3, 2025The house was clean, spacious and comfortable. We were in town for a family event which required us to cook, and the kitchen was well appointed, and we appreciated the large refrigerator.

Stayed Oct 7, 2024Pros: The property was clean, well-maintained and conveniently located near Mt. Snow, Stratton Mountain and the Green Mountain National Forest. If you like the outdoors, this is a great place to stay.Cons: While there was outside sitting areas (picnic table/firepit), they were located in the front of the property and near neighbors and not a private as we had hoped in such a rural setting. The refrigerator water and ice dispensers were not operating and no ice trays were provided. Lastly, while firewood was provided, it was not properly seasoned, so plan on buying wood locally should a fire be desired.

Stayed Aug 16, 2024Mount Pine is a comfortable, clean, nicely appointed home. Everything is well kept and stocked. Communication with the owner was quick and helpful. Loved the setting. It’s in the woods, but neighbors are nearby. My husband and I were here for 6 days. This area of Vermont is beautiful. Even though it’s close to skiing, there were things to do in the summer. We were in Wilmington, took in a play in Weston, and visited the Vermont Country Store (a must!). There are also wonderful restaurants. The mountains abound and we can only imagine how beautiful this area is in the Fall.We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed Apr 5, 2024My family of five and I and are dog had a wonderful weekend here. The house is surprisingly spacious and has great acoustics due to the separate spaces. We all felt cozy but we couldn't hear each other room to room and the space felt spread out and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and clean and the appliances are all top notch. We made great use of the awesome mud room and laundry room which made it easy to manage all our outdoor fun! We would definitely return to enjoy this gem again!
