Stayed May 21, 2026We rented the “cabin” for Transylvania graduation weekend. Great location. We hosted our family there. Comfy beds and working bathrooms. We hosted a small graduation event Sunday. Great access to campus. Off street parking is a big plus. So is washer dryer. Historic charm is a bonus. Highly recommend!

Stayed Apr 14, 2026Beds were comfy and had lovely bed linens. Area rugs had no non-slip padding and slipped around while walking on them. No grab bars in bathrooms. We are both older and look for safety features. Living room furniture could use some refurbishing especially the upholstered pieces. Chairs with wheels on wood flooring not completely safe.Very unique tho, staying in a house that is 239 yrs old. enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Dec 23, 2025We enjoyed this step back into time by staying at the Morrison cabin. The host provided wonderful ambience with a live Christmas wreath on the front door & a small tree indoors. The kitchen was well stocked with nice dishes & glassware. We used the combo coffee pot & espresso machine. The location was perfect for walking tours of downtown Lexington. It was very comfortable for our family of 6 adults.

Stayed Aug 20, 2025Lovely historic home in a great location except for some traffic/street noise. Some of the kitchen appliances were not working (ice maker, water in fridge door, oven wouldn't bake or broil - just convection), and there is no toaster. Bathmats are missing, and some of the towels need to be retired.

Stayed Sep 11, 2024Awesome old home. I kept staring at the old beams in the living room wondering what stories they could tell. This house is well maintained and you can tell it is loved. We walked to downtown every night and even walked to the football stadium, but we can easily trek many miles per day. Might be hard with elderly or kids. There is street noise and sirens from a station close by. Didn’t phase me, but bring your earplugs if you aren’t accustomed to city life. Tip: if you want to do bourbon or horse farm tours, book now. The more popular ones book out months in advance. Nicer restaurants also need to be booked. Corto Lima is a few blocks away and was my favorite dining experience of the trip. The bars closest to campus have more college aged patrons and rowdy. Bars closer to the house are older and laid back. 109 Constitution St. go into the book store (wink wink)
