A marvelous themed abode, with wonderful views of the waves.The deck's windbreak was very nice. My companion is a fairie and yearns to be a mermaid, and she was overwhelmed by all of the evocative art. Have never seen her so relaxed. We do intend to go back as often as we can afford it. NOt cheap but well worth the rental, County fee another story, but c'es la vie. Nice use of rehabbed wood and knotty pine. Woodstove magnifique.

We enjoyed the quick walk to the beach. It's a quiet neighborhood for taking walks or riding bikes too. The art in the house was fun to look at. We were inspired and delighted to discover new interesting things each day.

Place was perfect. Host was spot on with clear directions for entry, wi-fi, hot tub. Etc. loved the fenced yard for the dogs. Furnishing and decor very beachy and set the mood for a relaxing stay! We had a wonderful, restorative time!

Everything clean and well organized and stocked. Great to have fenced yard for dogs and great seating area in yard to enjoy the rare week of sunshine this time of year. Stars are beautiful with the reduced lights on the peninsula. Very relaxing time.

This is by far the best place we've stayed on the Oregon Coast. Having a fully fenced yard is great for our pups. The beach access was so convenient. I loved exploring the beautiful quilts throughout the house.

Comfortable and cozy place to stay.

The beds were comfortable, the ability to see the surf from the relaxing living room was perfect, the hot tub was clean and hot and ready to use, there were dog items like bowls, towels and bags. The kitchen is FULLY stocked, there are plenty of places to sit and to eat and to relax in comfort. The best features are the combination of it being within one block of the beach on a short walk and the hot tub and dog friendly at this price. You can't beat it on the OR coast.

This was our second visit to this lovely mermaid getaway & we loved it just as much as the first time! So relaxing & the beach is quiet & expansive. We also enjoyed walking to the small park nearby to let our kids play. Can't wait to return next year!

This is a wonderful pet property.

The house was exactly as described . Easy entry, spacious rooms, great yard and hot tub and 2 minutes tops to the beach. And then there's the artwork, which is so distracting with its colors and intricacies. Some was very whimsical and all very charming. The quilts were somewhat unbelievable and the glass work was classy and creative. We really enjoyed ourselves and would love to stay again some day.

The moonstruck mermaid is a great place to stay. The location is very quiet. There is a lot of comfortable seating and it is very clean.5 stars all the way.

We were very pleased with the home. It was very comfortable and the hot tub was a welcome treat every evening after hiking all day.The beach was close proximaty and the sand was beautifully silky! We would definitely book again.

We enjoyed access to hot tub and puzzles, games, and TV….It would have been nice to have soap & shampoo, or you could note to bring your own.

2nd time staying here. First time just my wife and two goldens in December. This time, the two of us, the 2 goldens, sister in law, daughter and 4 year old grand daughter. The house was perfect both times, during two very different seasons on the coast. Easy walk to beach. House was very clean, and easy to hang out, prepare meals, and visit. Fenced yard a big plus

Clean. Lots of amenities. Tons of kitchen appliances. Close to beach. 7 min walk to beach. Board games. Laundry facility. Beautifully decorated by a quilting & fused glass artist.

Home is well equipped, clean and has a great location. We where comfortable and felt at home. Loved the easy walk to the beach, the hot tub was amazing, and we loved the space.

For a 2-bedroom home, this is a fantastic choice if you want room to spread out! Fenced yard with a deck, & inside you have a family room a game/living room with a bar area. The property is about 3 blocks from an access point to a beautiful, lightly-traveled (during our visit mid-May) beach. Located about a mile north of downtown Waldport, it serves as a fabulous site to explore Yachats and its surrounding recreation areas to the south, and Newport to the north.

We love the Moonstruck Mermaid every time!! Wonderful art on the walls, clean, well stocked, very short walk to the uncrowded beach, 6’ fence for the dog, hot tub. Can’t beat it!!

The house was Magnificent! Unfortunately, we ended up in Waldport on one of the craziest weather weekends we have ever experienced on the Oregon Coast. Crazy high waves, wind, wind, wind. So, we went and bought some fire wood at the grocery stored and hunkered down. Definitely will be back.

This house was superb! The space is brimming with artwork. The mermaid theme is throughout but not too much. There is plenty of space for various activities. I prefer the ocean view by the fire. It was especially great to have a safe yard for the dogs. We will come back for sure!

Awesome location! Clean beach, clean updated area. This house was great & perfect for us and our 2 boys to celebrate their dad’s Birthday! Plenty of room, views and bonus the hot tub.

A little technology blip at check in that was quickly fixed by Sergio on VRBO, we got into the house! Beautiful home, comfy beds, and the hot tub was great! Loved sitting in the room with the windows! Great art, great kitchen, and the location was great! I will be back!

Everything was just great!!! Couldn’t have asked for better!

Instead of having keyless entry, still have to use a lock box. The light on the porch was out, so we could barely see to input the code. The frig makes a terrible noise running and opening. The home has all laminate floors with no area rugs, very cold. They use terrible perfumed soaps to wash linens. There is no heat in the bath with shower, and no mat to prevent falls. There is no toaster. So much junk on the walls, it feels like a Thrift Shop. I have always had positive experiences in the past as a guest in other rentals, and with the hosts. Debra wanted to bring in the housekeepers 50 minutes prior to checkout. Waldport is a town with nothing, u have to drive to Newport for everything.

We have stayed at the Mermaid five or six times before and it never disappoints. We appreciate that the owners are dog friendly and supply sheets to keep the furniture safe from the furry friends. We will return again.

Comfortable home for our 10 night coast getaway! The home was great and pet friendly. Nice to have a fenced in yard for the dogs to play in. We enjoyed the hot tub several nights and the fireplace every night. We look forward to staying here on our next visit to the coast. Thank you for opening up your home.

Perfect setting by the sea.

We especially love this home because of the ammenities in the home which make it so comfortable and easy and the fenced yard for dogs. The beautiful deck is a plus as well with wonderful beach views.

We had a really nice stay here. The neighborhood is very walkable with only a short block to the beach. We have stayed here several times, and it is always very clean and well equipped. There are plenty of games, books, puzzles and DVDs. The Wi-Fi and TV work great -- so glad to have cable instead of just streaming. Plenty of good restaurants to choose from between Yachats, Waldport, and Newport. We'll be back.

This is our third stay at this lovely home. Each time we spend a few days there, leaving is harder. The good news is that we are only 2 hours away and will definitely be going back soon.
