So, there were a few “minor” issues: 1. Why list the property as having Apple TV”, when in fact, there is none? There were 2 Amazon fire TV units, one of which appeared to work, but no Apple TV. 2. The property is small. Really small. Much smaller than you think from the pictures. If that’s what you want, so be it. 3. The TV in the living room was so old, small and far away that it was impractical to use. That’s if the Fire TV stick plugged in worked (which it didn’t). 4. There’s a bunch of old stuff in there that was taking up unnecessary space (a big old sound system, VHS player, etc.). Not a problem – just weird. And then we get to the major issue. After 1 night, the kitchen developed a severe leak. It looked like the faucet, so we turned the water off, mopped up and called the management company. To be clear – this wasn’t a new issue – there were already “buckets” underneath the sink that were full of water. This was early evening, and the guy we got was rude and basically refused to help. Said they’d send someone “the next day”. As it turned out, they sent someone around 11pm without warning us (when we were in bed). This guy turned out to be even ruder than the phone guy – shouted at me, refused to even say who he was or why he was in the driveway, and ultimately left without solving anything). Multiple messages the following day resulted in NO CONTACT from them. No plumber, nothing. They did send me several messages confusing me with someone else, but nothing for our actual problem. We left a day early from our trip. We like to cook and to have an unusable kitchen was just a nonstarter for us. I have asked for some refund given this fact, but the only reply I received confused me with someone else, again. Overall, 1 star is a little generous for this property.
Loved how this was walking distance to restaurants along the King's Beach strip, and King's Beach (skip the parking fees & hassle). At the same time, the stay was quiet (except for the construction along the street, but I'm sure that's over with by now). The master bedroom curtains were sheer, so that let our neighbor check us out on our honeymoon, lol. Battery operated candles didn't work. The two above issues were brought to the attention of the management, who said they'd send someone over - nobody came. The lockbox was difficult to locate when we first got there - it's on the INSIDE of the porch, not visible from the street. The drawbacks don't chip away a star from this five-star getaway. Noisy tankless waterheater anytime you touch the hot-faucet. Expensive, but nice! Clawfoot tub
The only thing that I don’t like is the price for cleaning is too price ….other Thant the everything is good….
Big black ants everywhere...the kind that bite. Black spiders on the wall, probably crawling through the unfinished light fixtures in the bedroom. Toilet seat is old flaking wood.. should be replaced ASAP. Bed was short length wise. Way smaller in real life. Kitchen was updated appliances, heater worked good, washer and dryer was nice to have. Overall just an ok rental. But it’s fairly priced.
This little cabin is in the perfect location and close to Kings Beach
