Quiet and restorative

The house is beautiful, spacious and inviting. When I saw the pictures online, I knew I wanted to stay here. It is a perfect place to get away and relax.

Incredible home, amazing views, quiet, easy drive in to Cape Charles. I need the option to give more than 5 stars. Perfect long weekend getaway for our family ( kids ages 17 and 20). We hope to go back!

Sarah was a dream to work with and provided everything you could ever even think to need. The house is a work of art, filled with works of art, with a view like something out of a painting. Very very private and serene. We could sit on that deck All. Day. Long.

A beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Close to Cape Charles with easy access to restaurants and a grocery store. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and clean, with high quality bedding. Kitchen is well-appointed. We stayed for Thanksgiving and cooking for a group was a breeze. Be aware that the double-oven configuration means each oven is considerably smaller than a standard 30 unit typical of U.S. homes. Large glass doors were a wee bit drafty, due largely to 20-30 mph winds on the first two nights. Very slight downgrade on cleanliness as the kitchen floors could have used a mopping, and some of the countertops were also needing a wipe-down (we would have rated the overall cleanliness 4.75 stars if that was an option). Owner was very nice and responsive. Overall a very high quality property in a wonderful setting with a conscientious owner. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Fun, restful, joyful, beautiful, rejuvenating! We love this house, property and location. Everyone throughly enjoyed themselves. Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway.

This house was a dream come true. Breathtakingly beautiful, peaceful, private beach, most thoughtful host, showers where water hits from every possible direction, orchids and mosaics. Cried when we left. So thankful to have had this indelible experience. Thank you, Sara.

Beautiful secluded getaway with amazing beach access. We enjoyed long walks on the beach into a neighboring conservancy, took a polar bear plunge (February visit), and warmed up in front of a roaring fire inside this stunning home. The kitchen is fully appointed. The house was spotless when we arrived, the beds were made and incredibly comfortable, and we were able to hit the ground running when we arrived. So thankful that we were able to slip away to this oasis for a few days. We will most certainly continue to rent this home. We’ve stayed on the Eastern Shore a number of times over the years and there is neither a nicer beach to be had nor a more unique and wonderful home to occupy.
