Stayed Aug 14, 2025The house was perfect. The beds are super comfortable and the linens were very nice. The kitchen and living room are a good size and the deck was used throughout the day with the new grill. The trek down to the beach is a little challenging and you will need to bring water shoes but the water and the view are spectacular.

Stayed Jun 9, 2025We were a group of 3 friends who now live in different states; we try to get together somewhat in between every so often. This time it was Lake George. The house itself met our basic needs as far as a place to sleep & shower. We only cooked there once. For that the kitchen was adequate, but it would be pushing it for a larger group / meal. There was no plastic wrap, foil, etc. The biggest negative was there were big black ants. Lots of them, all over the house. We bought ant traps, and we eliminated many of them manually, but they were still an issue on the last of our 3 days there. The host said it is a common issue in the Adirondacks, & the house was being sprayed the afternoon we left. Hopefully that took care of the problem for future renters. Another negative was the screened-in porch was deeply covered in pollen. Probably can't be helped, to a point, in June in the Adirondacks, but it looked like it hadn't been tended to before we arrived. We did not contact the hosts about it, so I can't speak to if it would have been rectified; seemed like more bother than it was worth, as the weather wasn't good anyway - until the last evening, when we were wishing we could sit out there. The host was quick to answer times I did contact him, and the house was otherwise clean. The stairs to the 2nd floor are challenging; you have to duck your head (literally bend over) and turn a corner at the same time. Bedroom windows have sheers only; some have nothing. Overall, OK; not great.

Stayed Jun 24, 2023We had a great stay, the house is close to everything. It was clean and well kept. The owners were responsive and friendly. The beds were comfortable which was a huge plus. My only complaints were the lack of furniture in the basement made it hard to actually use it less some of us sat on the floor and the deck doesn’t have a table or enough chairs to eat outside. We loved being able to bring our dog but she is a runner and this house is close to a main, very busy road.
