Summary:

The modern mountain house welcomes its guests with a birds eye view of Montana's second largest lake, Flathead Lake. On a clear day you can see the whitefish ski resort over 40 miles away and if you're lucky, see an otter as you peer down to the shoreline from the comfort of the home. The home was completely renovated in 2022 top to bottom and are very happy to be sharing our home and this amazing place with you.



The Neighborhood:

The property is locatedat the end of Finley Point and has a beautiful north facing view going up the entirety of Flathead Lake. The area is heavily wooded and sits perched above the shoreline. There is an abundant amount of wildlife that come up to the house every day so don't be surprised to have deer peering around the corner when you walk outside. We have two local eagles that call home by our house. You are surrounded by our neighbors private cherry orchards, the beautiful mountains and of course the lake! You will likely see more deer than humans during your stay. We are over an hour drive to Whitefish and Glacier National Park. Home does not have a dedicated slip but we do have docks that can be rented from the HOA which we are part of and are subject to availability.



Getting Around:

The town of Polson is located 20 min from the property. Finley Point Grill is about 10 min away and is a great place for a meal. This is a remote destination away from City life. In the winter we suggest a 4x4 to get to our home.

ADDITIONAL HOUSE RULES & AGREEMENTS:

Other things to note by booking, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the following house rules:



1. No Smoking : Smoking, drug use, and vaping are strictly prohibited both inside and outside the property. A cleaning fee of $1,000 will be charged for cleaning out smoke damage. No smoking of marijuana is allowed on the property.



2. Quiet Hours : Parties, loud music, and excessive noise are not permitted. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Complaints from neighbors will result in early termination of your stay, with no refund issued. Our local security team will be dispatched to address any violations, and guests will be responsible for any associated costs.



3. Security Cameras : There are 5 security cameras on the property: 2 located on the exterior front walls, 1 in the Jacuzzi/Deck area, and 1 on the parking walls, and 1 on facing the fire pit area. Any tampering, blocking, or disabling of these cameras will result in immediate termination of your stay with no refund.



4. Hot Tub ‍♂️: No lifeguard is present on the property; swim at your own risk. Adult supervision is mandatory for children using the pool.



5. Footwear : No shoes are allowed inside the home. We highly recommend bringing your own slippers, or you may use ours. A cleaning fee of $300 will be charged if dirty footprints are found and require deep cleaning.



6. Pet Policy : No pets are allowed. Undisclosed pets will result in a $500 cleaning fee.



7. Damaged or Lost Items : Additional charges will apply if the property is left excessively dirty or if linens (sheets, towels, etc.) are found damaged or stained after your stay. Replacement costs for lost, missing, or damaged remotes are $200 per item.



8. Late Check-Out ⏰: Late check-outs, subject to prior approval, will incur a fee of $100 per hour.



9. Guests : Only the number of overnight guests specified in the reservation is allowed. Additional guests or visitors without prior approval will result in a $200 penalty per person, per night.



10. Condition of Property

Guests are expected to keep the property and all furnishings in good condition. All appliances and household items should be used respectfully and as intended. Guests are also responsible for maintaining a reasonable level of cleanliness and tidiness during their stay.



11. Events and Commercial Activity

Filming, professional photography, parties, commercial activities, and any other events require prior written approval from the host and will incur location fees. Please contact the host directly to discuss such arrangements.



12. Release of Liability

This property is privately owned, and the homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur on the premises. Additionally, the host is not liable for the loss of personal belongings or valuables. By making this reservation, you assume all risks associated with the use of the property, including for any individuals you invite to the premises.

We are available as needed but the house is yours to enjoy.

    An amazing home that accommodated 3 families perfectly. Kevin was a terrific host. Everything was perfect. The lake was beautiful and easy to walk to. The paddle boards were a huge plus! Perfect vacation! Highly recommend!

    While the house is wonderful, the hosts are even better! The house is beautifully appointed with a fantastic view of the lake. Mobile adults (there are stairs) should consider this a destination house worthy of their stay in Montana. It offers all one could want during their stay as far as lodging goes!!!

    Thank you to Kevin & Kendra, superb hosts, for sharing your home for our annual family connecting trip. The well appointed furnishings and relaxing outdoor space complement the audacious views of the lake. We also appreciated the quick responsiveness and local suggestions. Flathead Lake area does not disappoint! We enjoyed 2 days on the lake, a day at Glacier National Park, exploring the quaint town of Polson and a guided Mountian bike trip. Superb accommodations in an an amazing part of the country. We’d highly recommend!

    This is a fantastic property in a fantastic location. The house is well appointed and beautifully designed. We love to cook and are frequently disapointed by the supplies in rental kitchens - not here. We were able to cook large family meals with ease. The whole layout worked perfectly for our three - generation group. The beach is excellent and the water is perfect. Note of caution - getting to the beach is fine for the fully abled person, but if someone in your group can't do a steep hike - you may have an issue. We will be back next year.

    Our family had a wonderful stay at the Modern House. Perfectly appointed and beautifully decorated the hosts have clearly put tremendous effort to make the property a welcome retreat. Golden and Bald Eagles soared above the lake each day and the deer are plentiful in the area. Kevin and Kendra were ready to help with anything we needed, and were excellent communicators. We used the house as base for shopping, rafting and a trip to Glacier National Park one day - an easy and beautiful drive. You’ll be very comfortable if I you are lucky enough to stay at the Modern House on Flat Head Lake!
