Beautiful, spacious house located off the beaten path. About 10 minutes to Blowing Rock, NC and about 25 minutes to Boone, NC. About 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway through a very scenic drive. Area is very quiet and peaceful with abundant wildlife nearby. House has most everything you’ll need and plenty of room for a family retreat. The only real drawback is that cell phone service and internet were a bit sporadic which I’m sure can’t be helped given the location. However, we were able to manage just fine with what we had. Looking forward to staying here again.
Propery is as described and clean. We had 6 adults & 3 children. There was plenty of room... but the best of all, there was plenty of hot water for everyone...all things considered....we all agreed we would stay again.
The property was very nice. Plenty of space with four bedrooms. The game room was awesome, who doesn't like air hockey? The house is very close to Blowing Rock down a road that changes to gravel. We had no problem getting in and out but wonder if the weather had been different. It rained the last day and I was a little concerned but no issues getting in or out. Sitting out on the deck in the rocking chairs, one can hear the Yadkin river below, a very peaceful and soothing place to unwind and relax. The only issue we had were no trash bags in the place and in some trash cans, along with the coffee pot not working. Very minor issues in comparison to how lovely the house was and the great time we had!
Blackberry Hill is an excellent getaway for family or friends. We had two family groups stay, and the layout of the house was perfect for one family on each floor. The location was convenient to Blowing Rock and all the shopping and amenities there, but far enough to feel like you're really in the middle of nowhere. We enjoyed some summer thunderstorms on the rocking chairs on the porch, and even enjoyed a little campfire. The game selection was great for kids 5-13 and the space was safe enough for infants. The only note I would have is for the listing itself to specify the wifi and cell service limitations. We've lived in the mountains, and totally understand the limitations that are not the fault of the owners, but I missed the notes about it in the reviews. We pivoted fine and it was actually a wonderful respite from technology. Just would've been nice to know up front that the wifi is really just enough to check an email, but not always load a website or text, and definitely no streaming.
Awesome!
It is a great place to stay. Very clean and it was very spacious. It was just like being at home. Will be returning sometime soon.
Nice quiet and relaxing stay.
We stayed at the cabin with a group of 9. There was more than enough room for everyone. Cabin was clean and had all the necessities needed for a weeks stay. Enjoyed the fire pit for s'mores and rocking on the chairs on the balcony just hanging out talking. Great getaway location.
Property was very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and all the local attractions. It was less than a 10-minute drive to the village of Blowing Rock and about 20 minutes to Boone. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. We were very surprised that the kitchen had all the appliances you would need for a very comfortable stay. There were plenty of plates, bowls, drinkware, and utensils. There were many cooking appliances ranging from a griddle to a ninja blender. The showers and faucets had great water pressure and warm water. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations, and we would love to return to it for our next family gathering
Great week away for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had a nice time relaxing, especially by the fire pit out back. Kitchen was well-equipped. Only downside was the lack of privacy with no en suite bathroom for the primary bedroom. Didn’t realize this when we booked…guess I should have looked more carefully at the listing. The little bandwidth with the wi-fi for our very connected family took some adjusting, especially for turning in school assignments, but we made it work. Just something to be aware of if you plan to book. Not a deal breaker. Thanks for making this home available to us! We really needed the time away and the house was a great destination.
Quiet and Comfortable
Will be returning to this modern yet cozy cabin annually! Extremely clean and well-kept.
Enjoyed our stay, even though it rain. The deck was covered with comfortable rocking chairs so we were able to sit outside. The house was VERY clean! Beds, water pressure were good also. Location was perfect!
My family, friends, and I all had a wonderful weekend at this property. The location was perfect for us as it was perfectly secluded and quiet while only being about 10 minutes from Blowing Rock.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blackberry Hill. It's close to so many places when you want to tear yourself away. We loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying the peace and quiet. We will definitely return.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Lenoir Mountain Retreat. The house is immaculately kept and new throughout. The natural light in the home is so inviting and every room is comfortable, very clean, and nicely sized. We loved the front porch rockers and the fire pit. We traveled with four kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. The sound of the near by creek and the birds were the only noise we heard. We enjoyed the rain on the covered porch and the sound of the breeze in the leaves. The house has every amenity you could need. If you are looking for a wooded quiet spot, close to Blowing Rock and surrounding area, but very private, I would highly recommend this property. We would love to stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Sam was very responsive and great to work with!
