Beautiful property. Hard to find and no one answers when you call the company but once found, amazing! Love it and would stay again.
Absolutely great stay!! Sofa and beds were very comfortable. Awesome surroundings, felt private even though you’re in a neighborhood.
From the pictures I was hesitant about this house because lack of door to master bedroom, living room looks to be part of kitchen and entrance to the house. Despite these odd aspects of the home, it exceeded our expectations. The setting is gorgeous. It is private and beautiful. The big windows are breathtaking and you are surrounded by lush greenery. It is well furnished and comfortable. We loved it!
This home was just beautiful. The interior and exterior.
Very clean!
The property was incredibly clean! Such a unique home - loved all of the beautiful windows! The host was responsive to any questions or challenges, which provided great peace of mind when traveling far from home.
Highly recommended and would stay again if in the area. Back deck/garden was a great spot to end the evening. House was clean and comfortable.
The Magic Garden lives up to its name. We stayed there while exploring Redwoods and Arcata, and it was a quiet place of refuge at the end of long days of hiking. The garden and deck are beautiful. We had plenty of space for our family of 3.
Good place to relax and enjoy. Walk to town, eat out or in.
We were thoroughly pleased with the property. Very quiet and comfortable.
This home is just beautiful! I hesitate to give it a review as I'd rather keep it a secret =) The space worked well for us and our daughter. It is 1 minute to the college and just minutes from the Arcata square. The lighting throughout the home was perfect for evening and wonderful skylights for day time. We LOVED the backyard garden and the soaking tub was a great way to end our days. The local property Manager, JoAnne could not have been more helpful! We visit our daughter at Cal Poly Humboldt several times a year and this is now our favorite place to stay by far. Until next time....
We were visiting Humboldt State with our HS senior. Magic Gardens was close enough to campus that we could walk there. The property is beautiful with lush landscaping; nestled into a quiet neighborhood.
Property was great! Only wish we had access to a dryer as all towels for hot tub got wet and wouldn’t dry naturally because of all the rain we got!!
Magic Garden is even nicer than the pictures. It is beautifully furnished and has fabulous art work. The hardwood floors and gorgeous wood doors make it feel like you are in a 4 start resort. Easy walk to downtown restaurants and shopping. The soaking tub is a nice addition.
Sparkling clean, very walkable area, and the Japanese soaking tub was the frosting on the cake!
It was sheer heaven to stay at the Magic Garden while we attended a wedding at the Fieldbrook Winery! Your magic garden home provided the beauty, serenity, and joy to rest and relax amidst gorgeous gardens, redwood soaking tub, friendly felines, & sacred Buddhas. The amenities were outstanding including a well-stocked kitchen and bath. We stayed here in 2015 for my son's college graduation, and were fortunate to visit paradise again! Rosa M., San Diego, Ca
One of the best Vacasa properties that we stayed in. Words don't do it justice. Clean and quiet and safe. Surrounded by flowers and green garden. Hot tub added a new dimension. Highly recommended ! Will book again.
This property is absolutely beautiful! The gardens really do make it magical. It’s also super close to the Arcata redwoods which is a beautiful way to start the day.
The property was wonderful, with a lot of privacy. We really appreciated the private garden with its well-maintained plants (so many roses) and hot tub (that was apparently recently repaired). The house itself was very nice, with a lot of natural light and a spacious feeling (high ceilings). The kitchen had all of the kitchenware things you would need to make your own meals with ease at home. The TV was nicely set up and had Netflix ready to go (good for the kids). The bedrooms were nice - 1 larger bedroom with a king and a small window bed (great for a child) and a second bedroom. Would work well either for a family with 1-2 kids, or two parties that want to split the home for a stay. The location was great, within a couple of blocks of an awesome redwood park (community forest). I went on multiple runs into the woods from there, and we stopped at the playground for our 3 year old. The house was also close to downtown, either a ~15ish min walk or short drive. As well, Arcata is close to the Redwood parks (national, state), so is an easy drive up 101 (this was our primary reason for coming to the area). Overall, the home was really great - I would highly recommend a stay.
Will always return- that says it all, right?
The garden encompasses this home which feels like a spa, so comfortable that you are content to sit in the garden instead of partaking of the many other magical spots in Humboldt County. Has everything you need to make meals, a lovely hot tub many comfortable nooks for reading or conversation. Only one downside is that this garden would be filled with birds if the many neighborhood cats were not relentlessly hunting them. This is a gorgeous spot we hope to return.
Our peaceful, perfect base of operations on the north coast for a one-month teaching engagement at Humbold Cal Poly. Beautiful, thoughtfully designed cottage, peaceful garden views, privacy, comfort. A great place to hang out -- inside and out, cook meals, host friends, or just hunker down and nap or read. Perfect location -- walkable to town or campus. 2 blocks from the community forest where daily walks are a balm, or a 10 minute bike ride to sunsets on the marsh, where birds of all type flourish. We will return!
