My family and I enjoyed a very nice 3 day stay at the property for the Tucson Marathon. The house was very clen throughout, spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The ping pong table proved to be a great distraction for everyone.
This house was the perfect size for our small group. The master bedroom was spacious and comfy. The bedroom with the full size bed was fine for our purposes. (4 adults and 2 small kids)We really enjoyed the massage chair and ping pong table. Our 5 year old LOVED the electronic keyboard, which was nice to help keep the kids busy while we were getting ready for the day. As others have said, there is a busy street nearby but we didn’t hear it at all from the inside! We didn’t use the tv much, and didn’t use the grill at all. The Mountain View was neat, and it is only 3-4 miles from my son’s family, so we will be back!
On the day we arrived, it was 100 degrees. Despite contacting the property manager repeatedly, it took 9 days to get the A/C repaired. It was often cooler outside the house than inside, but there was a lot of traffic noise when windows were open. We have been promised a partial refund for the days affected, but this does not compensate for 9 days of lost sleep.
The stay was enjoyable and the house was nice. The only thing I would suggest is to fix the AC. It worked but it had a hard time getting below 78. Besides that great stay.
Stayed 3 nights, property had all the necessities. The massage chair in living area was great! Next to busy street however very quiet at night and since we were out most of the day street noise wasn’t an issue.
Loved the house! Similar to those that we have rented in Tucson in previous years. The Southwest design and open floor plan is very homey. Nice to be able to use the garage, and the kitchen was nicely appointed. Corner location was a bit noisy at peak times, but bedrooms are not on the traffic side of the house, so that was good for peaceful sleeping. Beds comfortable, nice bathrooms - but we couldn’t figure out how to operate the shower in the second bedroom. Checkout time we felt was a bit early, 11 am would be better.
This house is bigger than it looks! We had more than enough room, and this location was near all that we needed. We would love to visit again.
We have been renting vacation properties for decades, but this house proved to be our most satisfying ever, and that is saying a lot. We told the property manager the same. Why? First, we have found that so often rental houses are crowded with things seemingly not wanted in the owner's own living quarters, but still wanted, thus leaving the clutter in the rental. Often you have to move so-called decorative things in order to fit your own things where they need to be. This house was the opposite, truly prepared for the renter -- with no clutter! Second, it was also the perfect size for two adults needing separate bedrooms, along with a dog needing some playing room. We realized that each of us could own a house like this based on layout and size. Although we didn't use the more formal (front) living room or the office (although I needed and used a piece of tape from the well-stocked desk!), if we had stayed longer or been there for recreational (vs. medical) issues I am sure we would have used them. Third, we so appreciated having the garage available to guests (it's Arizona after all!!!), and it was spectacularly clean!!! Had I been able to spend more time, I would have taken them up on use of the bike and helmet. Across Lambert is a walking path and there is a great park down the street. There is some street noise from Lambert, but it is relatively unobtrusive to spending time outside and did not bother us at all inside. The dog had plenty of play and potty room in the back yard, and we appreciated not having to navigate (or pay for!) a pool that we would not have had time to enjoy. Lest I forget, we were very grateful for the excellent nightly rate!!! Finally, we had special needs due to the urgent nature of our visit, and the property manager Tammy went above and beyond in helping us adjust our stay dates and other needs while there. She was incredibly gracious and helpful, and we are grateful. Overall, we loved our stay here. We would stay here again during our upcoming visit if it was just us, but we have more people to host and so the two-bedroom layout will not work. So well done to the owners and property manager, and thanks again!
Two adults and two senior Weimaraners had a great week. Close to everything - local park for doggie walks, easy to challenging golf, Catalina State Park, decent restaurants and day trip wine tasting to Sonoita. Home had everything we needed. A little road noise during the day, but similar to home. Tammy from Evolve checked in to answer a few last minutes questions too. We'll be back next spring!
We were happy with home itself and the backyard was great. Our dog enjoyed the large area to play in and explore. The biggest problem was we could never get the TV to work. I called the property manager and asked her to stop by and help us get the channels going. She never did!!! Wish they would have had a king size bed. The noise from the street was quite loud but we managed to get all the rest we needed. We enjoyed the restaurants that were just a few blocks away along with a great park area where we walked each day with the dog. Simple things like rugs at the entrances and in the bedroom would have been a nice touch. We would not choose this rental home for a future stay. Ron and Jan Altman
