The house is on a quiet street and was very clean. Refrigerator and dishwasher looked new. Master bedroom bed was comfortable.
We loved it. Everything was as expected if not better.
This was our second visit to High House and hopefully won't be our last. Great location, peaceful property. Close proximity to Gualala, and the shopping center at the base of the hill has most everything one can possibly need.
i already sent a review. This house was terrible - ants all over the kitchen and in the sugar in the cabinet. the floors in the bathroom didn't look like they had ever been mopped. The house was much smaller than the picture indicated. Very few amenities for a vacation rental - just an unkept house that owner wants to rent
We had a nice time here but the house just kind of it what it is. Cool property but hasn’t had much love put into it. Great record collection but blown speaker. Dimmable lighting but looks like it was installed in the 90s and half the bulbs are out. Comfy master bedroom mattress but others were not. Deck and hot tub are best part. Dog door to outdoor run only fits small dogs. Our 60lb dog wouldn’t fit so there was no fenced in yard for him.
Great location Generally a nice comfortable place
We love this house and don't want to leave. The property is comfortable, and we had everything we needed to cook, clean, relax, and forget about work for a few days. We found good food in town, White Cap really impressed us, and we checked out a couple of trails. Gualala Point was the highlight of the stay for us.
Great home (comfort of being inside while view of being outside), nice location (steep road but close to town and off the main highway), good condition (except for flooring joints that pose some tripping hazards and noisey master bathroom door), nice kitchen with lots of supplies available, didn’t get a chance to use spa but it looked inviting
The home was in a perfect location surrounded by towering pines and a creek. The deck was overlooking the woods and the hot tub was a huge plus. The home felt lived in and had every amenity I could ask for. Having it pet friendly was awesome too. I appreciate the large open windows, piano, guitar and record player. The TV had all streaming platforms available, but wifi was a little slow and lagging. No big deal since the point is to detach from nature. The beach is not very far but not easy to get to since you have to cross a highway and some residences to reach it. I will definitely be staying here again.
This house was a very nice! It had a very beautiful deck to sit out on to enjoy the scenery of being surrounded by the awesome redwood trees. It made you feel like you were in a tree house. The location was perfect! The small community of Anchor Bay had a general store that was walking distance and offered plenty of groceries and other items. The beach was very close but the only access was through the camp ground and the owner charges $3 per day per adult to access the beach on foot through his camp ground. The owners of the house were not list as members so we had to pay to access the beach. On the plus side there were plenty of public coastal access locations that were very close to drive to, and they were all beautiful to visit. Definitely recommend Gualala Point Regional Park. It has a very nice hiking trail and a really cool beach. Overall, this house made our vacation stay in Northern California a fun, relaxing, and memorable experience.
Nice quiet private but ants everywhere in the kitchen so I don’t know… Beside ANTS it was actually very nice….
What a nice surprise stepping out on the deck and being in the midst of a redwood forest! The house is lovely-everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Everything impeccably clean and little touches (shampoo, conditioner and soap) and extra blankets and towels appreciated. Location just outside of Gualala (highly recommend Black Door, Upper Crust and Seafood Shack!) Take a walk around the neighborhood and down to beach for a nice workout :)
Kitchen sink leaked, moldy/mildew smell, dirty, vomit on one of the blankets, master sliding door didn't lock, half the lights were burnt out, oven was dirty, ants all over the place, didn't get the right code to get in, drain stopper in master bath was broken off, towel rack falling off the wall, sofa was filthy. It was awful and ruined our vacation!
