We bought the house in 2018 and completely refurbished it.
It also has its own water supply and is therefore independent of Cape Town's water restrictions.
The bedrooms have air conditioning.
The super comfortable box spring beds are a dream.
Our dream house is flooded with light with floor to ceiling windows and open living area.
The equipment is new and modern with a spacious, open kitchen with island, Nespresso machine and separate utility room with sink, washing machine anddryer, and generous storage cabinets.
The dining area is equipped with a large real wood table (2,80x1,20) and can accommodate at least 8 people.
In front of our fireplace are sofas and comfortable armchairs to relax and read.
As a meeting place with friends invites our wind-protected patio (courtyard).
On our inviting terrace with spectacular sunsets are extremely comfortable, high quality teak lounge furniture.
Let your gaze wander over the bay of Hout Bay, preferably with a glass of South African wine or a braai (Weber gas grill available).
At the pool you can enjoy the sun and relax.(Beach umbrella and sun loungers available).
The completely newly furnished bedrooms with high quality boxspring beds invite you to dream.
The master bedroom offers a wonderful sea view, a dressing area and own spacious Beadezimmer.
The other bedrooms are set around the patio, some with their own bathroom.
A guest toilet is available.
For TV nights with the whole family is a separate TV room with 55 inch TV (DSTV, Netflix etc.) available.
Stable Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
You park your car comfortably in our double garage, from where you have direct access to the house.
Our house manager Claudia will assist you in all matters and greet you personally at check-in. She is always available as a contact person on site.
The house, at the end of a cul-de-sac, is located in a completed estate with 24 hour security, so absolutely safe.
The estate is located in a nature reserve with hiking trails.
Cape Town at a stone's throw away.

    We have rented a number of properties over the years, but this was head and shoulders above them all. A beautiful house with superb facilities and a lovely house manager as well. Everything was as needed and superbly comfortable. Claudia and the team made us so welcome and helped with advice as needed. A beautiful house and thank you for allowing us to stay

    Luxury large open plan property with everything you could possibly want. Beautifully furnished and great location with drive in garage that has direct access to house. The washer and dryer and dishwasher are welcome additions and the wood fire keeps winter evenings cozy. Close enough to Cape Town to drive at night (30 mins) or Uber and right next to Chapmans peak drive which is amazing. Claudia, the house manager was on hand and always very responsive making sure we had all we needed. Would stay again without a doubt.

    We had an amazing week long stay at Miriam's property in Hout Bay. We were looking for a central location from which to explore Cape Town, yet still have quiet comfort to come home to. The location was perfect for this, and gave us everything we wanted and more. The house itself is amazing, with oustanding views and beautiful interior. It has everything you could need to make yourself feel at home.Claudia was very attentive and accomodating, and helped with everything from a smooth check-in to any questions we had.

    We were very fortunate to find this place, and the entire experience, from the interactions with the owner and their manager, as well as the actual house, was very easy. The house itself is amazing. Highly recommend it !!

    This is the most brilliantly designed house. The main living spaces are full of light and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything you could need and there is a good quality bbq. The huge glass doors all open to create a feeling of being outside. One of our favourite spots was the outside courtyard eating area which we named the secret garden. At night it looked so beautiful with lights and candles. The outside front terrace, perfect for relaxing together has the most stunning views, with mountains,trees and Hout Bay in the distance. The main bedroom suite is exceptional with panoramic views over Hout Bay. Thank you to Claudia who was always available to help out with anything even managed to get English football on the television for the boys! We had the most wonderful time in this oasis of calm and had a truly memorable holiday. Thank you Miriam and Torsten, we absolutely loved it!

    Beautiful house, wonderfully managed. Claudia seemed to be on call 24/7, when we had no water at 9.30 at night, she responded immediately, we were so impressive and relieved. Only issue for me was the lack of banisters on all the stairs, not good when you have bad knees but otherwise amazingly situated and equipped. We all loved it.

    What a stunning house in a fabulous location set in the hills overlooking Hout Bay. We found this a perfect location for us. 15 minutes to Camps Bay, 20 minutes to Table Mountain, 30 minutes to The Waterfront and easy access to the South beaches and bays. The house is even more spectacular than the pictures. Floor to ceiling glass everywhere downstairs allows stunning views across the bay without being overlooked. The communication between ourselves and the owners was excellent and we were treated superbly by house manager Claudia who answered all and every one of our question as well as making numerous fantastic recommendations for us during our visit. Chapmans Peak hotel was a great place to eat in the evening with views across the bay and right on the beach itself was Dunes which was excellent for breakfast and lunch. Another great recommendation from Claudia was Babylonstoren in Stellenbosch. In summary, I cannot recommend this house more highly. Thank you for a great stay!
