This place was the perfect place for my daghter and I. Shannon has put some very nice touches into the place, making it feel homey and comfortable with plenty of privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had a great stay! Family said this was a great choice and that they would love to stay here again!! Fished off the dock(perch, sunfish, bluegill, catfish, and a 28 pike all caught off the dock; did some kayaking & paddleboarding; agate hunting @ Agate Beach & Calumet Waterworks Park Beach; Yooperlite hunting @ Calumet Waterworks Park; and a little bit of relaxing;)
Very nice place…. Awesome view of the lake. Everything ya need on-site. Not to far from town. Look forward to returning… looking forward to the sauna?
We had a great visit . It was a wonderful getaway.
My husband, parents, and I spent 4 wonderful nights at this charming property. We absolutely LOVED it! The lake was a beautiful and relaxing setting to unwind after a day's adventures. We really enjoyed fishing off the dock and cruising on the pedal boat. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a stress free stay. The hosts were gracious enough to refund us after we had to cancel the last two days due to an unexpected death in the family, which was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend this place and hopefully we'll be back someday!
Found much to do on the Keweenaw, especially with Shannon's helpful book of top places to visit. Hungarian Falls hike, the very interesting Quincy Mine and MichTech Mineral Museum, and McLain State Park are within 20 minutes and the hikes, kayaks and beaches of Copper Harbor are about one hour. If you want to venture further, the scenic drive to Pictured Rocks is a manageable 3 hours. Our first time to UP--we enjoyed everything and learned so much. Always pleasant to come back to this lovely cottage on a beautiful, quiet, dark lake. If it's clear check out the Milky Way. Beautiful! Great getaway!!
Grandkids fished from dawn to dusk and then some. They caught tons, including a 6 inch crawfish! Such a relaxing setting with lots of watercraft available for everyone. Loved our stay.
Shannon and Craig's place is a perfect headquarters for exploring the Keewenaw. The cottage is cozy with great views of the lake. My kids had a blast paddling around in the kid kayaks. Would definitely stay again!
Cozy and clean. Not to far from MTU.
This house is a very nice little house we came to area to go snowmobiling the house is a great location to do that, we have a 35’ long trailer and the driveway had plenty of room to back inn , we will definitely be back !
We had a very nice stay at this updated home with a beautiful view.
We loved our stay at the lake house! The property is in a great location - secluded but still close to town. The property was very clean and had all the amenities we needed.
Very nice property. Perfect for 2 couples or family. Used all provided equipment with no issues. Great communication with host.
My wife and my newborn and my in-laws enjoyed our stay greatly. The cabin had everything we needed including an updated washer and dryer. It was a memorable trip and we hope to make the trip again. We also had good success fishing directly off the dock. 5*
With the multiple kayaks, paddle board, fire pit and sand beach we didn’t spend much time inside and had a fantastic weekend! It is close to MTU so we could bring our son back to school, but and some of his friends could come to play.
Had a great stay at the lake! Property has everything you could need. Our kids loved the kayaks and the toys in the second bedroom. The beds are all on the firm side, which took some adjusting to. But it was a great place to relax at after exploring all the local beaches, waterfalls, and mines.
Our family enjoyed a little relaxation at the end of our UP trip. Beautiful little place on the lake. The kids loved the kayaks and paddle boat! The place was well stocked and very nicely decorated. Thanks for your hospitality!
We LOVED this property! Just enough room for our family of 5. We loved that there were kayaks, a pedal boat and a stand up paddle boat. This is a perfect place to stay if you want to travel the peninsula or just stay and relax.
