Surrounded by nature and located near Indiana Dunes National Park, this modern farmhouse retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort, style, and convenience. A scenic 10–12 minute trail leads you through peaceful dune landscapes and Historic Chanute Hill to the stunning sugar-sand shoreline, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Chicago skyline. Whether you’re planning a beach vacation, family trip, or extended stay, this home is designed for effortless relaxation indoors and out.

Inside, enjoy a bright open-concept kitchen with a gas oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer with filtered water and ice maker, island seating for four, cookware, dishware, and essentials for easy meal prep. Coffee lovers will enjoy both Nespresso and Keurig machines with complimentary pods.

The spacious living and dining area features a cozy sleeper sofa, 55” Smart TV, and dining table for eight. The main floor includes three bedrooms: a king room, queen room, and bunk room with a twin XL over queen bed. Each bedroom includes a Smart TV, sleep machine, closet space, and linens. A full bathroom and half bath are also on the main level. Towels, linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper products, soaps, and trash bags are all provided.

The finished basement rec room offers a 70” Smart TV, sound bar, foosball table, books, games, and extra dining space. Laundry is easy with a PureWash Pro ozone washer/dryer system.

Outside, relax in the private fenced backyard with a hot tub, gas fire pit, pergola dining area, grill, bar, café lighting, and seasonal heated outdoor shower.

No high school, college, after-prom party, or any other underage groups allowed.
No bachelor or similar groups permitted.
Must abide by all Terms and Conditions of the signed vacation rental agreement required for rental of any Miller Beach Vacation Rentals property, regardless of booking method (direct or via a third party)
Additional Guest fee applies over 6 people: $25/person per night. This covers maintenance/replacement of aerobeds, pullout sofas, extra laundry, increased utility costs, wear and tear, and more.
No illegal, dangerous, or non-family oriented activities or items are permitted including, but not limited to, underage drinking, illegal narcotics, strippers, beach fires, kegs, deep fryers, fireworks, other flammable items, etc.
No commercial or retail entities or third-party service providers (e.g., catering companies, DJ’s, VJ’s, rental equipment companies, etc.).
No smoking inside or anywhere within 15 feet of any open door or window ($1000 fine).
Total of four (4) cars are allowed in the designated private parking spots at ANY point in time. Including any visitors, loading and unloading, even if for a short time period. Street parking is not permitted. Overflow parking is 2 miles away
Maximum Occupancy is 14 individuals total, not including children less than two years of age on Arrival Date
Neighborhood quiet hours are strictly enforced from 9PM-9AM; Parties / events, lack of decorum and disruptive noise will not be tolerated; If the neighbors are disturbed, Miller Beach Vacation Rentals reserves the right to ask the tenant to vacate the premises with no refund.
Outdoor Music is not permitted after 9PM.

Small, wireless bluetooth speakers are permitted except during Quiet Hours (9pm - 9am). Not permitted are party speakers, amps, subwoofers, stereo surround systems, or other high-powered audio equipment, etc.
We use smart home technology to measure noise decibel levels throughout the property and you will be notified immediately if a noise event has been triggered. Tampering with monitoring devices is strictly prohibited and will result in a $350 fine.
Safely Trust and Safety Damage Waiver Fee provides up to $10,000 of accidental coverage for contents damage and up to $100,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury during your stay. Full terms provided upon booking. Additional charge of $10.50/night applies for stays over 7 nights.

    Good: 1) Good location, walkable distance to beach 2) Beach is wide and nice, not many people, pets allowed, parking is available by hour if needed 3) Nice cozy backyard 4) Spaceous basement To improve: 1) Garage had wood poles after re-constuction. I had to move them around which was heavy to be able to park both cars, it was too narrow and I could not open the doors 2) Air conditioner was pre-set to a certain range that you can't change. It didn't work for me. I have never seen such restrictions 3) Doors are missing inner manual lock. Not sure how often codes are changed and who know them, felt unsafe in this area without manual inside door locks. 4) Hot tab outside had sand on the bottom, didn't feel like using, not sure if it was cleaned 5) I think I saw 2 house cameras on main floor and basement even though in manual it was said that cameras are only used to monitor outside

    Overall the place is nicely decorated and clean. Lots of space with the 3 bedrooms and basement where the kids played. Did not get 5 stars due to numerous broke or non working items, including: hot tub only one set of jets working, dishwasher top rack broke, frig slow water leak, jets & plug not working in tub, fire pit edges cracked, building materials in garage limited space to park and be able to get in/out of cars.

    A short getaway before daughters moved back to college. Enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the Dunes State and National parks. Grateful for owners that are pet-friendly as our guy is a family member and loves outdoor adventure. Appreciated the quick response and resolution to address an issue with the water heater during our stay.

    My overall impression of the Dunehaven is very positive. The house was very clean. They thought of everything- clean towels, fresh linen, extra pillows, blankets and pillowcases for our use. The kitchen was sticked with dishes, pots, pans and more. Even shampoo, conditioner and body wash. That was amazing. The hot tub and grill outside were also nice amenities. We walked to the beach and had a beach brunch from my daughter's Fifteenth birthday. It is close by, a five minute drive. The only criticism I have for the house is that we could not control the temperature the way we wanted to. At some point, Some of the girls were cold and we could not adjust the thermostat higher than 77°, or even turn off the air once the house was extremely cool. I don't like the fact that someone put a lock on the thermostat to not go past certain temperatures. That is an issue for me to have someone else controlling the temperature of the house when we are the ones in the house. Being too cold or too hot is extremely uncomfortable, especially when I believe the owners' goal is to make guests as comfortable as possible. Other than that, I do understand the noise concerns, so we did not play any loud music at all, and the TV volume was also at a moderate level throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this home. The beds are comfortable. There was enough space for all of us. We left the house very clean- in the condition it was in when we arrived out of respect and common courtesy.

    The house was recently remodeled so it was pretty nice. The back deck was perfect and really nice. The ring door bell lets the property manager spy on you. For some odd reason there is no parking in front of the house so when we had guests over I got a text telling me that they needed to move the car. This no parking in front of the house. the only signs in Miller beach for no street parking are in front of this house everywhere else has street parking. We could not adjust the thermostat. This house is older so the back bedrooms were hot. You are not allowed to adjust the thermostat so be prepared to be hot if you stay here. Hot water really took a long time to get hot and we ran out it every night after everyone showered. The Dish washer didn't work so we had to do dishes by hand every night. It would appear the property owner is not local and the management company does a poor job. There are nicer properties to stay in. I would not recommend this one.

    Six ladies all family were celebrating 2 of us turning 60. The house was very modern with a great layout and nice outdoor entertaining area. Our only suggestion would be its time to replace the mattress's in each room.

    This rental by far is one of the best rentals I’ve rented and I rent 5+ a year. Very clean and updated home with plenty of space. Comfy beds, plenty of blankets and pillows. Fully stocked kitchen with all the Necessities! Also was very impressed with the stocked coffee, toilet paper, trash bags, spices that came with it. This is not typical for a rental. They typically leave you enough for a day. We were there for 5 days and still didn’t run out! There was enough parking and the double garage was helpful! The outdoor space was lovely. Fenced yard, gas fire pit and grill. Hot tub with an outdoor shower. Very quiet neighborhood! 5min walk to lake beach. This place was lovely and we will rent this again when we come back to town.
