Modern 2BR Retreat Near NYC, Clean, Cozy, Private & Fully Equipped

Paul was a great host and always replied back quickly to any needs we had. The bus to Port Authority is within walking distance. There are grocery stores within walking distance. Very quiet neighborhood.

The apartment was clean and had all of the necessities. Except it needs more bath towels, wash cloths and kitchen towels. Its location was out of the way for our itinerary. But not being familiar with the area we should have looked closer to our points of interest. The apartment has a patio which is a nice amenity, however it was dirty, unkempt and could definitely use an upgrade. I give this VRBO a 3 out of 5

Super close to the bus stop! Easy bus ride into NYC for 4.10/person each way!Area felt safe, fun Mexican and Cuban-inspired restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood.Paul was always quick to answer your questions when you had them.Much more affordable than staying in a hotel in the city! And a nice break to get away from the crowds and noise in the city.I would definitely stay here again!

Overall experience is great. Great communication and location is very convenient with some nice eating options nearby as well!Things to know- *If taking bus options (in and out of NYC'S Port Authority): walking from the bus stop to the place is not far- but parts of it are slightly uphill. *The place is on the first floor but the first floor is up some steep steps.I would stay again!

Very clean apartment. The information listed on Vrbo was a little confusing. Laundry was listed as an amenity but its a laundry mat at the end of the street. VRBO has the check out time as 11 but the host put 10. The upstairs unit was quite but you can hear everything. It was a safe clean apartment for a family of 4 but I wish the communication was clearer. The area is very friendly and getting into nyc was eaay everyday.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. We really appreciated the owner’s kindness and friendliness, which made us feel very welcome from the start. The apartment was spotless and very well maintained.The location is excellent, and we especially valued how easy it was to get to New York City by bus—the connectivity is fantastic.Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it.

I think we found our spot when we want to visit the city! The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Lots of stores and restaurants are just a short walk or drive away. We felt safe in this area, even at night. The views of the NYC skyline are a short walk away and are absolutely stunning at night! Paul was very responsive to any questions we had and was very helpful.

Highly recommend! Great location, close to the bus stop to take into NYC, cozy stay, and communication and help was great with the owner. Very nice people. The only recommendation I’d add would be make sure you arrive to park before 5/6pm because parking in the evening is next to impossible. We thankfully found a public parking ramp and parked in there and took an Uber back because we arrived late.

Plenty of space for a place near NYC. Host was very responsive! Couldn't ask for more. The apartment had a ton of clothes hangars - more than any guests will need. Only downside was not the fault of the host....more a fact of living in and near-NYC....if there are guests in the upstairs floor, you will hear them clearly. Can be annoying if they return late at night. But the host was again super responsive when the matter was raised and he followed up with the upstairs guests.

Pros: Clean, comfortable beds. Decent location to park and transportation facilities.Con: access to the other bedroom is through the first bedroom. Outdoor stairs are somewhat challenging for older guests.

Clean and spacious apartment, located in a friendly residential area with various shops and restaurants close by. Also just a short walk from public transport to Manhattan - and the views across the Hudson (also whilst you're on the bus) are fabulous. Easy communication with the host, very clear instructions on how to get to the house. If only we could have stayed longer!

Everything as expected!Paul is very helpful! British Airways lost our luggage and he did take cate of it while we are touring Manhattan (it was delivered in the afternoon).This is a perfect budget stay, when you want to visit New York. Bus with NJTransport is only 4USD and you are at Times Square in approx 15-20min. We never waited longer than 5 min for a bus!The apartment is equipped with everything you need!Full recommendation. When we are visiting NY next time we will come back!

Great location, clean, walking distance to a lot of good food and necessities. The host was by far the best host I've ever had at a VRBO. The host helped with parking and was always available for any questions we had. So if it's your 1st time to New York City, or just another visit, please consider booking here.

Awesome trip! We biked by the Statue of Liberty. Saw a play on Broadway. We learned to ride the buses in New Jersey and the subways in Manhatten. We took a tour of Central Park. Paul, the host, was great. He helped us find parking for our truck. These apps were really helpfull: Moovit, NJtransit, SpotHero, ParkMobile. Once we learned how to park and use transit, the trip was great.

The property was spacious and clean, with easy parking and easy access to public transportation into NYC. The views of NYC skyline just a block and a half away are spectacular, among best anywhere. Plenty of groceries and eateries within steps. Just a great location.

Paul was super duper responsive the place was charming and after the initial check in, super easy to find. Everything you possibly need is there. Place is clean and it felt like a very nice NYC/West Jersey apartment. It's an older house with new floors and just enough modern and classic charm. Definitely would stay again and recommend.

We had a great stay. Property was well suited to us. Clean and spacious, quiet at night. Did have a quirk of having one bedroom lead off the other, which wasn’t a big deal but not something we’d picked up on in listing. Location was great, away from madness for of Manhattan but easy and quick to commute in.

My 19yo sons and I stayed Thursday thru Sunday and found the property very nice and convenient for our needs.Providing a full kitchen- really nice bathroom w a great shower and --THE LIGHTED MIRROR?!?! Perfection!-- The two beds were comfy and the air mattress provided fit perfectly in the front bedroom.The location from The City and all its attractions cannot be beat for the price. The bus line is close and will take you everywhere you need to be.The ferry isn't far but we didn't get to do that this time.The neighbourhood is very nice as well- quiet and charming w several nice rest to try. We specifically went to Pio Pio for a REAL Cuban sandwich and mango milkshake and to El Rincon De Mi Quisqueya for Dominican food. Great stay with quick access to Manhattan via the Port Imperial ferry. Beds were comfy and the apartment had everything we needed. The host was very helpful and responsive.

Easy communication before checkin, especially for ESTA. Beautiful (but not luxury ;) ) and clean appartement in quiet area. Groceries, restaurants and bus stop to NYC close by. Beautiful vista to Manhattan skyline within walking distance.

Paul was a gracious host, which we truly appreciated. He was very flexible with checking in and out, and very responsive throughout our stay. Beds were comfortable, which is a big plus since we were sleeping in them for 6 nights! It was also a nice quiet neighborhood. Location was easy to get in and out of Manhattan daily using the bus, even during this busy holiday week. We didn’t need fancy…just simple, comfortable and affordable. This place checked those boxes! We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is fine but super small and definitely not luxury

Clean, warm quiet and walking distance to buses to NYC as well as grocery store, convenience store and restaurants. Host was easily available. Bathroom is wonderfully clean. Master bedroom requires walking through other bedroom to get to bath, kitchen and living room. I recommend placing a multiple hook overhang on bathroom door to hang clothing and light articles. I would definitely stay again.
