Mod Blue Agave - Stunning Glam Mid-Century

The views from the backyard/pool are beautiful. The pool was clean spacious. Also the hot tub. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space and seating areas. The manager was extremely helpful and attentive. The location is great both for access to downtown and access to hikes. This is a great place to stay.

Had an issue with one thing on check-in and GPS was super responsive and got it fixed. Good folks. Terrific house. Thanks all!

We spent a very relaxing week at James's house. It's a very charming cottage with a nice artistic decorations, right on a small lake. We loved the canoe! The kitchen is a bit underpowered (2-burner electric stove, small convection oven). It's pretty clear in the listing and wasn't a problem for us. We stayed in summer and got a lot of mileage out of the gas grill on the patio. The overall vibe is more an artist opens his charming home to you than antiseptically-clean commercial rental with brand new Wayfair furniture. We prefer this vibe. We would gladly book again if we were looking for a place in this area.

This home made for the most perfect vacation for my family. The house is on a nice, quiet street in the heart of Palm Springs. It’s a short 5 minute drive to downtown. Lots of good restaurants close by. Our 15 year old son enjoyed exploring all of Palm Springs on one of the bikes that is provided. My husband enjoyed the grill and the kitchen. I appreciated the washer and dryer. Our girls loved swimming in the pool. You just can’t beat the views of the mountains!

The night before I got a call from the property owner and had a nice conversation. He mentioned going away so I said I could come early around 3:00 (check in was 4:00). When I arrived at 3:00 he said he was on a business call and that check in was at 4:00 I mentioned the phone call the night before so I said it must have been a miscommunication so we left to return at 4:00 . Five minutes later he called and said could I come back at 4:30 ( now I’m upset) so I said I’ll be there at 5:00. Arrived at 5:00 and he still wasn’t ready to leave. We (my sister and brother-in-law whom dropped me off) waiting in the backyard and 15 minutes later he gave me the keys and left. The best part of the stay was the view of the lake.

Our stay at this charming getaway home was everything we had hoped for…the furnishings, the personal touches including artwork were welcoming and we felt like James was sharing his home with us…We grilled on the deck and fished till our hearts content… Thanks for sharing James…We’ve already booked a return visit!

Cute little house with everything you need right on the lake. I enjoyed using my kayak out on the lake and relaxing on the shoreline and deck of the house. I've never been to Guilford before but the area was beautiful with the coast being a short drive away along with historic houses.

We had an amazing stay at this Lake cottage! Perfect retreat as we visited family. James was a wonderful host. Much needed rest and relaxation in the perfect location.

To be completely transparent it felt as though we were simply going into someone’s house unprepared for guests. My wife told me about some rather dirty areas along with cobwebs that she cleaned. The refrigerator and freezer were dirty and filled with owner’s food, condiments, etc.. On the outdoor grill there was a sheet pan that was covered in leftover food drippings. And then the sheets on the bed were stained. Was not a pleasant experience and left after the first night.

Everything was just as advertised and the host was very attentive to our needs during our stay.
