Summary:
This fully renovated 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom historic mansion is situated on Michael Donald in the Old Dauphin Way Historic District, just minutes from downtown and entertainment. Designed for your comfort, our home offers all the practical amenities for a convenient stay in Mobile. With two master bedrooms, it's ideal for families, business professionals, or anyone seeking a cozy, genuine atmosphere. We provide both professional photos and real-time images from our cleaning teamto ensure transparency. We would love to host you!

The Space:
This is a fully remodeled historic home in Mobile, AL. There are two bedroom upstairs, and two bedrooms downstairs, so it's perfect for two families traveling together, or large families. Upstairs is a King bedroom with en-suite full bathroom, a bedroom with two queen beds and a bathroom with shower. Downstairs is another king bedroom with a futon, a back bedroom with two queen beds, and another full shower bathroom, with a half bath. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room.

We do allow pets, but ask that you please keep them crated when they're not in the house, and keep them off of the furniture. We have two large dogs, so we completely understand the challenges of traveling with pets (and kids!). Because of the unforeseen necessary cleanup involved with pets, we do require host notification and a fee of $50 per pet.

This is a historic residential area. We love our neighbors, so we please ask that you respect the neighborhood by having quiet hours after 10PM. Our home has a strict no parties rule, so if you'd like to host a party, please find another host willing to accommodate your party or event.

***A pack 'n play/travel crib is available upon request.***

Occasionally, previous guests have told us that they do not like our neighborhood. We think it is great, and have never had any security issues, but we understand that everyone has different experiences and want to make sure you are comfortable in our home. If you are concerned about the neighborhood, we would be happy to talk with you about it. If you do decide to cancel after arriving, it will be subject to our moderate cancellation policy

Guest Access:
We do have free parking available on site, so guests are welcome to drive their personal vehicles. Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area to take you anywhere you need to go if you decide not to drive.

We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. We came down for dance convention. The house was good, but we had some concerns with the back bedroom and the side door. The back bedroom floor was cracked and gave in one spot when you walked on it. It felt very unstable. We did not allow any of our girls to stay in this room for fear of it braking and them falling through. We also had some concerns with the side door as the doorknob was very loose, to the point we were afraid it would fall off.

We came for a wedding. The property was comfortable. It was clean and well stocked with all the necessary amenities. It was advertised to be somewhat nicer than it was. The neighborhood appears to be in the process of rehabilitating, but is somewhat uncomfortable. Had several local people warn us to be cautious. Overall the stay was pleasant.

We booked this location with great anticipation of enjoying Mobile’s Mardi Gras. The weather was colder and wet than we had expected. The house was warm and inviting. The neighborhood is on an upswing on adjacent streets. Urban renewal is making a comeback for old beautiful homes like this one. Overall the house and the entry and staircase helped us remember a house we lived in growing up. It helped us enjoy our stay even more than we expected. We had a great time. Thank you.

It was a very nice historic home. It was large enough for our group and with plenty of bathrooms for us all. The lower bathroom was a bit chilly, the shower felt crowded with the curtains coming in close and the door handle fell out a couple times, locking in the user if the chain was on the outside of the other door.

We had a celebration of life for a departed family member at a local church. Our group of thirteen consisted of spouses, children, grandchildren and puppies. It was wonderful to have everyone stay in one place. We would stay at the house again.

House and neighborhood are charming There is an abandoned house behind this one which is where I’m guessing some of the safety concerns from other reviewers come from but not in the least the property owners fault The house could use a little toc, cleaning up leaves, filling in cracks from settling But really for the price and the location it was awesome We will be returning Communication was phenomenal as well Bring dish towels as there weren’t any but all other basics were provided
