Our place is close to the Melbourne airport, 20 miles from Port Canaveral, 150 feet to our beautiful beaches, and walking or biking distance to the Indian River lagoon. This area is a great place for couples, family adventurers, business travelers, and friends trying to relax. Its a quiet and friendly neighborhood, great for beach play, fishing, surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding or for just laying back. For the more adventurous there's heading out to the many wonderful Central Florida's attractions.

This house, my home has been renting for almost four years with over 150 five star reviews on other sites.
Also we clean and disinfect this home before every guest at a molecular level.

    Perfect location, clean. A little too hot inside but being on the beach with the high temperatures this is to be expected. Owner came by once to let us know about trash pickup day.

    I’ve never previously given an unfavorable review. These comments are to benefit future possible renters as I relayed most of the points to the owner during our stay. Here’s a “complement sandwich”: Wonderful location. Nice beach. Plumbing leak from upstairs toilet dripped onto kitchen refrigerator with every flush. The leak had clearly been there for quite some time, as evidenced by (1) large ceiling water stain, and stains from dripping down cabinets, (2) large rust spot on top of the frig where we eventually placed a pail. Disappointingly, pre-rental the owner stressed “2-way communication” but never mentioned this obvious existing problem. The owner repeatedly mentioned that “the house was cleaned on a molecular level,” but a nurse & engineer (us) understand those words are nonsensical (gas ions in vacuum chamber?); yet we realize that most people might be impressed. I think the owner just meant was that Clorox All-Purpose spray was used on most flat surfaces below eye-level. All HVAC vents—other than 2 in entry room—were disgusting with black mold & dirt. The house needs a good all-around cleaning beyond just the surfaces and needs overall maintenance/TLC. The house sleeps 8; room for 5 in LR/Den & 6 at dining table. Hot tub listed on VRBO as a site amenity did not work and obviously hasn’t worked for a long time (science experiment in the residual water; needs to be drained). A nice, new washer/dryer. Lots of photos; didn't ruin hoiday. Won't be back.

    If you are looking for an extremely clean and well-cared for home, nearly on the beach with a heated pool, look no further! Mike is a great host. He met us on arrival to show us around the house. A clean home is very important to me, and I could tell by the reviews and his house rules that this house was immaculate. It was even cleaner than I expected if that is even possible. Even though this home is not directly on the beach, you can actually see the ocean from the house and is a very short walk (just a few minutes) to the sand. We went the week before Easter and had the beach to ourselves. We travel to Florida every spring break and the beaches are always packed. Not this one! There are no hotels around this house, therefore limited beach traffic. We enjoyed walking to the local market (they make great subs), picking up pizza and going to a really nice seafood restaurant, all a 5 minute walk from the house. And if you need anything or have any questions, Mike is just a phone call or text away. Mike even has fishing poles and bikes for his guests to use. One other thing I found very reassuring is that Mike washes not only the bed sheets, but the comforters on every bed after every guest visit - this is something not commonly done in rentals. Beds are also very comfortable. I have 3 teenagers and they all had their own room which they loved. Mike also has a lot of really cool shells, collectibles and plants around the house which also makes this home very unique. We will certainly be back!

    This home is a GEM!!! -Location is amazing. It's closer to the beach than many beachside condos we've stayed in. And the beach you can access is lined by other homes, not condos, so it's very private and quiet. Truly a world-class beach- sugar sand, fantastic waves, and beautiful sunrises! You can also see the ocean from the upstairs rooms, which was fantastic! -Michael is a tremendous host. Very attentive to the property and our experience as his guests. -The home is truly unique and we enjoyed it so much. The shell collection is comparable to what you would see in a shell museum, and are beautifully displayed. The plants and greenery both inside and in the backyard truly make it feel like a tropical paradise. -The home is clean and well kept. Kitchen is well appointed and equipped much better than what you would find in most rental units. -The beach gear was really fun and really leveled up our trip. Using the fishing gear for shore surfing was really fun. It was our first time surf fishing and we caught pompano, black drum, whiting, and even a bonnethead shark! -Having a private pool for the week was really enjoyable. -Walkable to the grocery store, bait shop, restaurants, pier, ice cream shop, lighted tennis courts, and basketball court. Summary- stop looking at other properties. Book this one. You're not going to find something better.

    The property had everything we needed. There is a food market right around the corner that you have to check out. Great selection of restaurants and even a small liquor store. The pool was a relief after a day on the beach. A lot of seaweed so the fishing was moved to the pier ( caught a 15 in redfish) which is a short walk. Definitely stay again.

    This property was a very nice, large home equipped with all the amenities needed, and was located practically on the beach, with a private pool in a lush, very private backyard, within a short walking distance of many stores, shops, and restaurants. Mike, the owner and host, was very accommodating and communicative before during and after our stay. The home was beautiful and very comfortable, and we found both the house and pool immaculate. We used the ocean kayaks, beach chairs, pool and ocean toys provided, and there were 2 very nice bikes, beach umbrella, beach towels, and fishing gear available as well. We loved that the property was also located on a very quiet street, but close enough to everything! We loved walking on beach every morning to see the stunning sunrises, so easy to do because of the easy access to the beach. We have been traveling to Melbourne Beach annually for over 30 years, and you cannot beat the value, location, and amenities that this property offers for a relaxing beach vacation. Thank you, Mike, we will definitely be back to rent from you again!!

    This place was perfect for our family of 7. We cooked our own food most of the time and anything we could’ve needed was there. The location was amazing, literally steps to a private beach, and a heated pool in the afternoon right out the back door. The owner is very responsive and helpful. We are already planning our next trip to Melbourne and are looking forward to staying at this house again. Thanks Mike for sharing your home with us.

    Long term rental for us-2 months. Owner does not know how to rent long term. The place was set up for brief visiting only. Every day (except Sunday) the owner came by for his mail. He continued to have his packages delivered to the house. He regularly went into the backyard to water plants without asking permission. The fridge was filled with owner's foods which we were told not to touch. The house is filled with owner's collections. This means that there was very little counter space. We moved owner's food to a drawer of the fridge so that we could use it. We moved the air-fryer and multiple knife collections and tea cases off the counter and put them into unlocked spaces around the kitchen. We were living there-we kept the house very clean. Counters, now cleared, were constantly washed. Floors regularly swept. Dishwasher run daily. We left the house clean, bedding stripped, counters washed. We left the owner's refrigerated food still in the drawer. We did not return all the knives and tea cases and air fryer to counters. We returned all furniture to their proper places. We did not vacuum the bedrooms -- we had never been in them with shoes on! We did not bring in the BBQ, as the owner regularly reminded us, because we did want a propane tank in the house. We tilted over the lawn chairs every night (onto the grass) to keep the dew off. The owner always put them upright when he came into the backyard. We felt we left the house in good condition. We are a older couple (and we respect other's properties). After paying tens of thousands of dollars rental the owner has attempted to squeeze us for three hundred more because he feels we didn't put things back and that we left the carpets filthy (huh? -- simply not true). House is nice but overall needs maintenance. Exterior doors work badly, some drains don't work, and lighting is poor for reading. You are required to take off shoes in the house. You are required to leave lights on continuously. Pool was great. AC/Heat worked fine after we changed the air filters. The owner was a problem for us.His collections are in lighted glass cabinets, zip-tied shut, and the lights were not turned off for the two months we were there--some of them are directly opposite the living room tv so you can't watch tv in the dark without a glare. Overall, we felt bullied by this owner who wanted to rent at premium rates but did not want to stop living in and managing his house.
