Midtown Military Stay w/ Porch & Game Room

The property itself is a hidden gem. Sitting on top of a hill overlooking the neighborhood. Plenty of backyard space for grilling and hanging out. Clean and beautiful house and very responsive host. Will definitely stay again.

Nice little house to stay while we visited for our sons Army Graduation.

We came to Columbus, GA for my sons Turning Blue Ceremony and Infantry Graduation. The place was perfect for what we needed. All of our guests were comfortable and the backyard provided a space for us to BBQ and let people gather outside the house.

This property is as exactly described. Nice home with great basement gameroom. My kids loved it. All rooms are upstairs for easy access. Perfect stay for a family. We were in town for our son's basic training graduation from Ft. Benning. I noticed some reviews before booking the place about the area of town. The entire town of Columbus is a poorer area but the house is in a good neighborhood. It was quiet for our 5 day stay which was over a weekend. The host was amazing at communicating and provided for all our needs. We will be staying again when coming back. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Air was good and the kitchen as good too and just had some minor stuff

We recently stayed here to be close to Ft. Benning. Here’s what we liked: It was very easy to communicate with the host and they had a quick response time. We loved the screened in front porch. The renovations to the house are nice. There is a baseball park/playground across the street. Definitely so much better than staying in hotel! What needs some improvement: The couches need replacing/cleaning. The arms of the couches are all broken down—like someone sitting on them for years. They are cloth couches and just feel “not clean”. The Roku remote in the main living area needs to be replaced. The volume button is broken and we had to use the voice command to control it. Not enough flatware. If you have more than 4 people staying, there’s not enough to service one meal. Missing plates—only one large plate, four medium ones. Investing/replacing a few things would make this property much better.

Great communication nice house!

Just the house itself was old but cute. We had plenty of room. Beds are all memory foam, that was nice. The yard has a lot of trees, and a lot of birds. Nice big big back yard with a grill. I would visit again but only in the fall. It's absolutely perfect for fall weather.

Just ok. This place served our basic needs, but wasn't home away from home. Pros: responsive host or AI, well stocked linens, paper goods, etc. , roomier than a hotel. Cons: faint but distinct smell of cat every time I walked in, hazards & trash in yard (same fridge from reviews months ago, wheelbarrow full of water, hoses strewn about, trash by rusted fire grates, etc - clearly not tended), and had DIY written all over it. Obviously hasty renovation by I guess a giant? I am short at 5' 0 but the microwave was literally so high I couldn't reach the buttons...could barely reach the first level of cabinets & my 6'1 husband could barely reach the 2nd shelves. Wth?! Not accessible. Only coffee maker was a Keurig. Meh, wouldn't stay again.

No T v in bedroom was bad

Overall a solid choice for family visiting Ft. Benning. The beds were comfortable and clean and the kitchen was well appointed. It also has a nice back yard and patio. Second full bathroom is downstairs and not easily accessible for older folks. There are also stairs to access the front door, so keep that in mind if traveling with anyone with physical limitations. The neighborhood was quiet and enjoyable and not too far from town. Four and a half stars.

We stayed here for our son’s turning blue ceremony- Great location, close / easy to get on base from house as well. It was SO nice having a separate space downstairs to have two different hangout spots as well. The rental was very clean, had amazing air conditioning and had a lot of extras like cooking spices, shampoo and conditioner, extra towels, etc that were very nice….my ONLY complain is the lack of water pressure- but it’s a charming older house and that wasn’t too surprising considering. Overall- I’d adjust my travel dates to stay here again! Thanks RTR team!

Family friendly house. Plenty of room for us. We enjoyed the house, especially the screened in porch in the front of the house.

Towel was not clean and very dingy. I had to go to Walmart and buy towels for us to shower with. Knob on the tub fell off while in the shower. Communication with property management company was not a good experience. Rude and unprofessional.

I would be very cautious about staying at this location. My daughter and I were there for her boyfriend’s Airbourne graduation. We planned on having a cookout with some family members. When we pulled into the driveway, we noticed there was an old refrigerator sitting outside up against the side of the house, there was a spot in the back yard that had broken lawn furniture and other junk laying the corner of the yard. There was no way I was allowing children to come play in the yard while we had a cookout. Let’s talk about when we walked in the house. The smell of the cleaning products were so strong. The house was clean, I will give it that. We went down stairs and there are literally nails that we nailed into the floor above that was exposed on the other side. The pointy side was out, there is no ceiling in the basement so the wires are all exposed. I would highly recommend you to keep looking if you will be in the Columbus area. The rental company’s response was we are so sorry that you are not enjoying your stay. My daughter and I left the place after one night even though we were to stay for another 2 nights. We currently have a claim open with VRBO. The property owner will not refund any money, so we will dispute the charges with our CC company of we don’t get any where with VRBO.

Great communicate from homeowner and easy check in. Accommodated our late checkout for a small fee. Beds were comfortable and upstairs was spotless. Game was clean but had a few bugs but homeowners were fast about coming to spray and make it right. Very close to many different places to eat and a Publix. Definitely would book again

Trip was for our son’s Army graduation. Close to the base. Very convenient. House was clean, kitchen well stocked, everything was in working order.

Nice place very clean , close to everything… my only gripe … my father is 88 and in a wheelchair . I specifically asked prior to booking if there were stairs . She said no only to the basement . There are six stairs to get to the front door . This was very very difficult to deal with

We stayed here to attend our son's graduation at ft. Moore. This was about 20mins from the gate at ft. Moore. It was very clean and suited our needs well.

Nice place to stay, enjoyed the game room.

Nice place, clean, nicely decorated and as listed. Only issue was one of the bathroom toilets clogged after first day of arrival and even tho we tried to plunge and take care of it - it would not go down. - notified owner - they said they would fix it promptly - still clogged and smelling when we checked out.

Good location, great price, spacious and practical

This charming home was perfect. It was spotless, comfortable, and had a lot of space. The basement had such a cute redone game room and a great big backyard with plenty of outside seating.

Excellent communication with owner. Clean home and very comfortable. Will use again!
