Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a stunning home. The owner has taken great care to insure that every detail is perfect. It's tastefully decorated and so comfortable that we hated to leave even for dinner. The kitchen is incredible. Everything you need is there and if you like to cook you will be very happy. Our dog loved the private backyard and the heated pool was wonderful. We would stay here again without hesitation. Thank you, Joann for allowing us to stay at your lovely home.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969palm springs is our favorite get away spot, we come here at least 3-4 times a year. we usually stay in hotels, but this time we wanted more privacy, just a place to unwind without other people around. we couldn't have found a better place! from the moment we pulled up at the house, relaxation set in. on the outside, a beautiful classic alexander with great desert landscaping. on the inside, a perfect mix of midcentury modern cool with warm touches to make it cozy. we felt like staying at a friend's house who had just left for the weekend. impeccably clean, and all the amenities we admittedly couldn't live without even on a lazy weekend. wi-fi, big screen tv, i-pod dock, and best of all, a heated pool. great kitchen and bbq, too. to be honest, we didn't leave the house all weekend, except for evening walks through the great racquet club neighborhood and occasional grocery runs. but for those who want to explore palm springs, you couldn't be in a better location, minutes away from bars, restaurants, hiking and biking trails, and the tram. communication with the owner was prompt and pleasant, and check-in was easy. hotels might be a thing of the past for us, if we are lucky and this place is available for our next visit!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This place is amazing! Stayed here over the weekend and didn't want to leave. We felt completely relaxed from the moment we arrived. The view of the mountains from the heated pool is to die for. Very quiet neighborhood close to uptown. We threw a couple steaks on the grill and stayed in one night. The kitchen has everything you need. If you have never stayed in an Alexander house and are looking to one day, then I highly recommend this place. The layout and decor is ideal for chilling and recharging. Would definitely come back.

The yard had a very private feel and provided a great space for lounging by the pool, sipping cocktails and enjoying the amazing mountain views. Stayed Dec 31, 1969Came out with some girlfriends to celebrate a birthday and was lucky enough to find this gem. The house is well appointed and stylish without being stuffy and actually feels like the owners designed it rather than furnishing it with whatever they could find in their grandma's garage. It's that attention to detail that made this such a comfortable stay. While I concur with the other reviewers on the beds and the coffee maker, for me it was the memory foam pillows. Zzzzzz.... The private yard was the perfect backdrop for our party guests and the cement floors were really practical for all the traipsing from the pool to the bar. Great location, affordable pricing, AND there's a new El Mirasol right up the street! Who could ask for more?

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family, two school-age kids, stayed in this house for a week. It's a beautiful, but comfortable place. The kids had their own room with two twin beds, plus there are two other bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding high quality. The house itself was artfully restored - from the gorgeous polished concrete floors, to the Heath tile, the design fits perfectly with the mid-century house, but it's not cold or pretentious. Other pluses - the espresso machine, a fully-equipped kitchen, comfy sofa, big TV, great indoor-outdoor flow, and a nice owner who's pleasant to deal with. Overall, a great stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house provided the perfect retreat for us to recharge, spend some time in the sun, and get away from real life for a bit. Beds were super comfy, the pool was nice and warm, and the location was perfect -- close to Uptown Design District and our fave restaurants...Cheeky's, Jake's and Copley's. Yum. Plus it's fun to stay in an historic neighborhood of Krisel Alexanders. The espresso machine for morning coffee was totally decadent and we loved all the mid-cent and reno'd decor. The shower was especially beautiful with gorgeous tile. Our doggy loved the back yard with spacious lawn and plenty of room to run around. All in all a great stay and we would come back for sure!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Wanted a cool desert getaway from winter in LA for a couple of days and got much more! First of all you don't have to drive all the way through Palm Springs to get there. Making it feel much closer than other places actually in further desert cities. What a tranquil treat this pad is, a complete escape in a comforting mid century aesthetic. Down to the not obnoxious pop colors you usually find out here. Most of the color is in the killer artwork on the walls. Super comfy couch with a lounge built in. The TV is way better than any I have seen. Perfect for an HBO movie. The kitchen had everything you could need to make espresso in the morning, tasty grilled treats for lunch and swanky cocktails to sip into the evening. Several of us couldn't tear ourselves away from the pool and the amazing view of the mountains. We splurged on the pool heater because it was pretty chilly when we went. The water was 90 degrees! Like a giant hot tub! When we did leave our oasis, it was a very short drive to the center of town to eat breakfast at Cheeky's, go treasure hunting at all of the furniture stores or pick up pizza at Bill's. It's also located very close to the tram ride up the mountain as well. What a trip, making snowballs at the top of the mountain looking down on the desert. A unique experience. Thought we would have time to hit some balls at Plaza Racquet club, past the center of town, but we just lounged instead! We would definitely stay here again. Oh yeah, bought a memory foam mattress topper when I got home. Had no idea what a restful nights sleep they gave!
