Affectionately named Tres Palmas, this 3BR/2BA house will have you doing jumping jacks for joy. The former abode of the 'the godfather of fitness,' Jack LaLanne, this classic, mid-century Palm Springs home in the El Rancho Vista Estates is personality-packed and close to all the action in Palm Springs. You'll want to do a few push-ups before your swim in our gorgeous private swimming pool! True to the classic 50's layout, this home is open, airy, spare, and elegant. The home was designed by the famous team of Wexler and Harrison, and was originally occupied by Richard Harrison himself.

The living room has a sectional and armchairs with seating for six. There's also a TV and big sliding patio doors that fill the room with sun and provide direct access to the pool and patio. The U-shaped kitchen features top-of-the-line stainless appliances, including a chef's gas stove that can handle a major cooking marathon. There's also a breakfast bar with seating for two. Check out the 'sputnik' chandelier and frosted glass furniture in the dining room -- some of many charming finds in this home reminiscent of the very swanky 50's in Palm Springs.

The primary bedroom is furnished with a king bed, blonde side tables, and 50's-style lamps. There is patio door access to the pool, making it easy to change in and out of your suit between swims. The en-suite bathroom has a marble double vanity and walk-in shower, plus a convenient back door to the patio. The second and third bedrooms both have queen beds, blonde furnishings, and sliding door access to the pool/patio. The second bathroom has a jetted tub/shower combination and skylight.

The large yard is equipped with a private pool and patio area. Make use of the grill and dine alfresco at the five-seat dining table. Recline on a hammock while supper sizzles on the grill. After dinner, take a seat at the wood-burning fire pit and roast s'mores.

The pool was refreshing and the tar was like a park. All in all it was a great place and we did enjoy our stay. The entry way on the outside could use a little facelift as this is the “first impression” entering the property.

Me and my family had a vacation in Palm Springs. We came across this house. It’s really awesome. It’s big and spacious. Also, the pool is big and the patio also. At first, we were concerned because the airport is nearby but the great thing is that we didn’t even notice there were airplanes taking off my whole family really loved it.

Great location, nice house, just need some minor improvements. The pool was really dirty when we arrived and they sent someone immediately the next day to clean it. It was night and they. I liked how responsive the team was. The house could be cleaned more, example, kitchen utensils and the rugs. Overall, ok stay.

The outside air conditioning unit right on the other side of the master bedroom wall (a couple feet from the head of the master bed) makes a loud, jolting noise on startup and about every 10 seconds for an extended period of time. It woke us up multiple times during the night. We were told that an AC tech had inspected because of that noise and that the noise was normal. But it's not normal to have sleep disturbed like that. Vacasa guests should be able to trust that won't happen, or that if it does, that Vacasa will make it right. They have not made it right. It hurts Vacasa's brand to list a property with an issue like this, where the guest literally gets jolted awake in the middle of the night multiple times. Details: We arrived late Friday night and were awoken in the middle of the night multiple times by the noise. I recorded a 30-second audio file of the noise Saturday morning (during which the noise sounds three times) and texted it to Osiris along with a note explaining what happened and asking for help. The text message was marked Read at 9:15 am Saturday. I waited until about 4:30 pm and when I had not heard back, I texted again. Osiris responded Hello, who's this? I identified myself and re-sent my text and the audio file. He called me and we spoke. A little later, he wrote back: I just received word from the property manager that the unit is rather old and controlled by Edison the electric company hence the noises it was making. I told Osiris that made no sense. He then sent me the message from the property manager: Hey can you call the guests for caps 521 and tell them it's a normal sounds from the AC system it's a older model and the unit has a thing that is controlled by Edison. I repeated that it made no sense. Osiris said he would have the property manager call. Doug reached out to me by text: Hello this is Doug from Vacasa. Is the sound coming from the AC system? I copied my original text to Osiris, along with the text file, to Doug in response. Doug said: Okay yeah I'm sorry but we've had AC tech go out to the unit before for that sound and they said it's normal that there is no issues with the AC unit at all. I expressed my disappointment and explained that I would have chosen a different property if I had known what happens. People don't want to be woken up in the middle of the night with a jolting, recurring noise like that. I told them that I thought this is something people should be aware of before booking. Doug responded: I'm sorry about that...I understand your disappointment. I took a screenshot of the text chat and sent it over to Osiris, who wrote back: I understand. Outside of this theres nothing more I can really do since the property manager has reached out. The same thing happened the next two nights that we were there--we kept getting woken up in the middle of the night. I subsequently wrote back that I though Vacasa should make an adjustment to the bill. No word.

Overall very nice. We had to clean the pool every morning, but it was a windy weekend. The outdoor grille and coffee maker were of an older variety, but the house was comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you-

The backyard was beautiful and kept up pretty well. Unfortunately the inside of the house was not as well maintained. It definitely is in need of up keep and a very good deep cleaning of bathrooms and floors

My wife, kids (11 &13) spent a lovely 7 nights here. The property manager was very responsive when we arrived and couldn’t find everything. The property was extremely clean and pretty big! They had everything we needed for our week. The backyard is definitely a highlight. The pool is quite large and comfortable, we had it heated. The backyard is very private and huge! There are three fire pits and lots of flowering and citrus trees. The beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious. The bathrooms had everything we needed. One tip is that there are two blow dryer and one is way better than the other.Overall we had a great time here as our home base

Great house and location. However, we had a full day of no internet, so no TV, and thermostat control. I called the Vacassa help center and the local manager was summoned to assist. I had to go to local hotel to finish some work on my computer due to internet issues. The next day everything worked as it should. The place was clean and presentable.

You cannot beat the quality of this rental. Beautiful art, lovely pool, 5 different areas in the backyard and pool deck to relax, which means you can always find shade or sun. GREAT pool. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, for cooking and dining. Good beds and plenty of linens. There were 5 of us, all adults and the layout was perfect. Sure, it could use a little bit of love, maybe replace some floor moldings and freshen up paint in a couple of areas, but other than that, you couldn’t ask for more. We would come back to this place in a New York minute.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The home is beautiful, and filled with time-period touches that make the place eclectic and unique. The space itself is comfortable --clean, cool, and welcoming. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook meals, and the outdoor space is amazing. We enjoyed swimming in the fantastic pool, and lounging in the outdoor spaces. A short drive to downtown Palm Springs, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet of the beautiful neighborhoods. Highly recommend this place!

The outdoor living area was fantastic. Our dog and toddler loved all of the space. Well stocked kitchen and linen closet. Great location close to downtown Palm Springs. The airport abutting the property was not even noticeable and not disruptive at all.
