Mexico Beach Retreat w/ Grill & Private Pool!

Was a nice relaxing place without the worry of having to deal with congestion and traffic.

Property needs some upkeep

I felt like the house was not prepared for me. When I got there the ac was locked on 66 and the temps fell down to the 20's that night and I was freezing. The fence was knocked down by the construction crew next door which meant the dog stayed on a leash. I also had to reset the stove as it did not work. But all in all the VRBO crew fixed everything remotely and we temporarily propped the fence up and I had an awesome stay. The house is beautiful and the back porch swing bed was my favorite. I would rent this house again if I had the chance! I appreciate all who had a hand in making my stay comfortable.

We liked that this property had a private pool and was one level which is better for elderly guests.

Awesome place, the screened in porch was great with the pool view, the overall renting and check-in process was very smooth didn't have one issue. Well except master bed mattress could use a little upgrading but we'll certainly be going back again.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The house was very comfortable and had plenty of space for our family. The large screened in back porch is where we spent the majority of our time and the tv outside was a huge plus.

we got to the house early around 3:00. asked cleaning lady if we could look around for a minute. we left and came back at 4:00 to go in. She was still cleaning. She left around 5:00, and did not get thru cleaning. Upon our arrival, the pool was dirty and needed to be cleaned. there was a distinct smell of dog in the house, and we noticed dog hairs all around the house. the garden tub was not cleaned and had standing water and a cleaning rag left in the tub. the master commode was not cleaned at all.Then we had an issue in the kitchen sink with it not wanting to drain. We plunged it, and had no result. i called Leida Klimes about all of this. She sent the pool man the next day to clean and chlorinate the pool. She said she would send someone back to reclean, but never did. No one ever came to resolve any of the other problems. i called her several more times and became irate on the phone with her. Then i called VRBO and talked to a rep, told her all about the problems. She said she would get the owner to call me. Never got the call.We bought drain cleaner to clear drain in kitchen sink. I did not ask for a refund, all I wanted was what VRBO states its rentals are suppose to be like. Something else i noticed was there were no filters in the air system. could see where 3 were required, but none in place. We enjoyed the location, the pool after it was cleaned and the property as a whole. This was not what I thought the VRBO statutes for paying guest should be.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The back porch was perfection!! Spacious and in a good location! We will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful home, clean, great location!!

Great location and clean

The house was just perfect for my family and my parents. The screened in porch was great to be able to be outside with the kids without worrying about them getting too close to the pool. We had a great time and would recommend this place. We rented a golf cart so we could access the beach quickly and easily. There's also a playground nearby that we visited almost every day.

We enjoyed the large common areas. The grand boys liked the pool. We all liked the screened room with plenty of seating and a tv as we watched college basketball. Close to park for the boys to play basketball. And we all played some pickleball.

The overall stay was good. The house was clean and beautiful. The town was great. Beach access was easy, and not busy, which was great!!! The private pool was also a Pro. Cons: beds were extremely uncomfortable and noisy. The jacuzzi tub jets didn’t work, which wasn’t a major thing. The biggest complaint were the beds and bed frames.

Property was clean and in a very safe neighborhood. Area around pool could use some TLC but rwst of house was wonderful. Really enjoyed screened in room at back of home.

Beautiful cozy home with everything you need. Perfect for our 2 dogs with the fenced in yard. Just minutes away from everything. My only complaint is that yhe pool filter wasn't working but, hey, I still layed on my float for 4 hour's!

VRBO properties using Evolve to handle payment is a poor process. VRBO is not being transparent in their pricing upfront prior to booking. The two do not communicate. The entrance code was inaccurate. The property host said it had been changed recently. The pool was dirty. The pool person showed up the same time we arrived and could not get the pump/filter to work. He said he would try to come back the next afternoon. He did not show. Property manager notified. There is no grill nor blow dryer. The Blackstone griddle was left dirty and uncovered. The outside chairs were broken and piled up on the side of the house. The inside of the house had nice finishes and was clean other than unwashed throw rugs throughout house.

My husband’s birthday. It was very nice to be able to take our dogs with us. We enjoyed the beach, watching sunsets hanging out by the pool and eating good food. This house was perfect. We plan to come back! Great last minute bday trip!!
