Mermaid's Hideaway! Just steps to the ocean!

Great location! But, if you are a picky about beds/ mattresses, etc. squeaking soft mattresses are less than ideal. Broken door lock on garage, etc. worn out screen and shower doors. In short, perfect location, lots of restaurants and activities for kids, just in need of a few upgrades and maintenance needed to justify the price.

Quiet neighborhood, nice access to beach, well equipped kitchen, bathrooms, and beach equipment.

Nice ocean views and very convenient for the beach.

The location of the house was amazing! Check in was easy. It was a bit tricky finding the house with the narrow neighborhoods but Sharon was available to help navigate to it. The space was open and can accommodate 6-8 people. They even have a rooftop terrace to hangout and enjoy the sunset. Beach is only a few steps away. The only negative was the cleanliness. We did find hair strands on some of the nightstands and mold in the showers.

Awesome property in the perfect location for beach access. It was the perfect place to say for a San Diego beach vacation with family of all ages.

Our family stay was great! The beach house was just what the family needed to take a break. From the the first day we arrived to our departure the process was a breeze. There was plenty of bed space for the kids with two adult beds separate from the kids bedrooms which is nice for rest and relaxation. The kids have their own television in two different rooms that allows access multiple different apps connected the beach house WiFi. A fully stocked kitchen with plenty of seating space for two families. The roof access is nice with a beautiful view of the ocean and a breath of fresh air. A fully stocked kitchen made it easy and convenient to cook from home. If there was any issues or questions a quick answer was only a call or text away. We had a great time and look forward to another possible future stay.

Booked for a quick getaway for the family. Place was stocked and was pretty much the standard for the area. We've stayed in 10 or so short term rentals along the southern CA coast, we enjoyed this one as much as any of the others.

This place was amazing! Right next to the beach and has lots of comfy beds. Beautiful clean home.

Just spent several days at the Mermaid house and loved it. I took my teenage son and several of his friends. The boys loved the location. We were steps from the beach, very close to Belmont Park and lots of restaurants. Its in the middle of things but still quiet. The house was perfectly clean and, although not beach front, has great beach views. Two of the bedrooms are kind of small but there are plenty of beds. The kitchen and living room have been beautifully updated. The rooftop deck has a great view of the ocean. There is plenty of hot water, lots of towels and the kitchen is well appointed, there is even a fantastic kitchenaid mixer. The washer / dryer is not actually inside the house, its down the stairs but easily accessible and there are two so its easy to get it all done quickly. This condo gets the whole garage, the spots are tight so do not bring a big SUV. We had rented a mid sized SUV and it fit but was tight. We had a slight issue with the grill and the management company was very responsive and found us a solution quickly. I would definitely rent it again!

Great place! Has everything you need, especially if you have kids. Near restaurants, stores, amusement park, and of course the beach and bay. Will stay again.

We booked here to stay after the hustle and bustle of a disney vacation, we are from Canada so the weather was a nice reprieve even though cold for most in November. You can sit at the kitchen island and watch the waves roll, off the front deck or the roof top deck! It was the perfect balance of close to the beach but not too close for noise. We had 4 adults and 6 kids during our stay and the house could accomodate us all with 2 full bathrooms. There are beach chairs outside for use, beach toys, umbrella, boogie boards! Plenty out outside lounging/dining options on premises and steps to the beach made washroom breaks or lunch breaks very accessible. You are also very close to souvenir shops, restaurants and starbucks! There are rental stores for wet suites, bikes, surf or paddle boards if you need an addition. Also the bonus of laundry on site was great! We loved this accomodation and would definitely recommend and be back. My only feedback for our host would be to provide a few essentials in the kitchen like olive oil, dish detergent, laundry detergent, spices other than salt and pepper and some basic coffee/tea, sugar. We flew here so having to purchase that was a bit of a hassle as they don't make travel size. Other than that you're all set here!

We loved the size of the living room and the deck upstairs. Great communication with the owner. We enjoyed our stay.

A baseball weekend trip for 2 couples to get away from the stresses of home turned into 3 couples, kids, and a grandma. This place had space for everyone and was steps from the beach. Would definitely return. Great host. Mentioned that the upstairs fireplace wasn’t working and a new one was delivered in the morning. Awesome experience.
