MERMAID COTTAGE - 3 MINUTE WALK TO BEACH - VERY CHARMING & CLEAN!

The distance to the beach was not exaggerated!! Literally walked out the door and at the beach in 3 minutes. Great location! The home was so clean and quiet. A great place to relax!

The cottage was so cozy, nicely decorated, and in wonderful condition. Steps away from beautiful sunsets on the bay. We loved our stay here.

We had a wonderful time at Mermaid cottage! It was clean, comfortable, and accommodating. The walk to the beach was short and the beach was small, quiet and nice. The host provides a lot of nice beach and outdoor items like chairs, bikes, and nets.

My family and I hold the Mermaid Cottage near and dear to our hearts. It was a great find the first year we came to visit Cape May and since then we've returned annually! The kids talk about it and we all arrive each year upon check-in and feel like we're seeing an old friend. The proximity to the beach is walkable and wonderful. We usually visit during horseshoe crab mating season and are in awe at watching the natural cycle of these incredible sea creatures. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, friendly and charming. The bikes in the shed are an awesome addition to our stay and I usually take a morning bike ride by myself at least one of the mornings during our stay and include a stop at Bravado Coffee to pick up pastries for the family before rolling back home. It's an easy drive into Cape May proper as well as entering/exiting the Cape. We love Mermaid Cottage and plan to return for years to come!

Perfect place

The cottage was really nice! Everything you may have needed was there for your use. We loved the bikes! The house was clean and decorated so cute. Very welcoming. The front porch and back screened in porch were added bonuses that we thoroughly enjoyed. It was an ideal vacation spot!

We were in town for our son's USCG boot camp graduation. This house was perfect for the long weekend - quiet area, clean house, close to base but far enough for relaxation, literally steps away from the beach and 15 minutes or less to every activity we wanted to do. The back screened in porch was our favorite place to eat and hang out. The host was exceptional in having everything ready for us and communicating with us. The towels and linens were very good and were provided so that was huge for us since we traveled so far and had limited time.

Everything was as described in the online description. Delightfully close to beach.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mermaid Cottage. The cottage was very clean and everything you need is provided. The host Kimberly is exceptional.Our first day was pretty rainy, but we did manage a walk to the beach during a misty break. It's very close. Then went for a wonderful dinner at the Lobster House (highly recommend).Day 2 we went on a Whale Watch. Didn't see any whales, but did see ALOT of dolphins and an osprey with a fish, so still a lot of fun.

We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Mermaid Cottage. Beds were comfortable; house was impeccably clean; hot water was abundant; everything was in working order. We liked the safe, quiet, walkable neighborhood and closeness to the bay-side beach. Backyard is a suitable play area for children. House is beautifully decorated. There are amble extra pillows and bedding. Electrical outlets are reachable in all rooms. Kitchen is adequately stocked with pans and dishes. Bedrooms are very small with only tight walking space around two sides of the bed. Other rooms are comfortably sized. Owner communicated well and was easy to work with. Be aware that owner requires a 1500 deposit if you decline to buy damage insurance and VRBO does not return that deposit until two weeks after you vacate. All in all, we were very comfortable and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The stay was amazing! It’s such a cute & clean cottage. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. The area is nice & quiet. Such a relaxing few days. We definitely recommend this mermaid cottage for a beach getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at Mermaid cottage. Extremely clean, stocked with everything we needed. Nice to have the bay just a short block away. The screened in porch was wonderful for eating together. Owners were extremely communicative and helpful. Relaxing neighborhood away from the chaos of downtown Cape May. I’ll stay again in the future.

The Mermaid Cottage has a wonderful beach vibe , it is the perfect beach getaway. And the cleanest house I ever rented!!! Just a short walk from beach to house we could go back and forth with the little ones with ease. The beds are so comfortable we all had a good nights sleep. The host provided many yard games to play after a day on the beach . The yard was a perfect space to hang out after a day at the beach! And there were bikes in great shape for a morning bike ride around the neighborhood. All around a perfect place to kick back and put your toes in the sand!

Very clean and in close proximity to the beach. The house also worked great as a “home base” for many day time adventures. Drives are not long to many popular spots.

Mermaid Cottage was perfect for Memorial Day weekend at the shore. The house is super clean and well stocked for all key items (cooking, grilling and beach). Location is as close to the bay beach as advertised!

We stayed here a number of years ago, liked it enough that we made it a point to reserve it again this time around, and probably would again.

We stayed at the Mermaid Cottage in April for an early season birding trip. The location worked well for hitting all the birding hotspots in the area with a bonus of only being a few houses away from the beach. The neighborhood was quiet. The cottage was very clean and plenty of space for our party of 3 adults. The back porch is a lovely space for dinners. The host was fabulous answering all our questions in a timely manner. Our stay in Cape May was amazing. The house had everything you would need, it’s in a quiet area, is a short walk to the bay, and super clean! Overall the perfect place for a relaxing getaway!

This was a lovely cottage. We enjoyed staying there and looking for all the mermaids. We would recommend it highly to another small group. Enjoyed Stone Harbor and Cape May. Had a great meal locally at Jake's! And we would definitely recommend the ice cream place on Bay Shore Drive! Thanks for the opportunity to share your delightful home in this quiet neighborhood!

Great little cottage. Had everything so you only had to bring your cloths! Loved it!

This house is the perfect location, about a 2 minute walk to the bay. The house is small and cozy and perfect for a small family or two couples! We enjoyed the convenience items/linens provided. My only complaint was a few hairs in the bathtub and sand spurs in the carpets when we arrived. The sand spurs were difficult to remove and we were traveling with a baby so that was a stressor. Otherwise our stay was amazing and Kimberly was very helpful and quick with communication! We would stay again
