Stayed Jan 13, 2024Our 28 day stay at Meagan's Beach House was not long enough! Maria and Mike were most welcoming and ever helpful/responsive to our needs. The house itself is charming and comfortable with everything you could wish for... for cooking and entertaining as well as just hanging out. We feel very lucky to have found this gem.

Stayed Dec 30, 2022This property was excellent! The best we have had. The house had all the amenities needed to enjoy a short term or long term stay, and if something was needed then the owners were prompt to respond. By far the view was the also the best we have had. Plenty of ocean life under the dock, Manatees stopping by as will as dolphin. Plenty to watch as its a stones throw from Adam’s cut and the ocean beyond.

Stayed Feb 1, 2022Wonderful experience. Maria and Mike were very attentive to any concerns we had before and during our stay. Great location on the water in a quiet, nice neighborhood. We brought two dogs (Springer & Jack Russel Terrier) and they loved the fenced yard and spacious interior of house. The house was well outfitted (tv's, towels, dishes, kitchen tools and spices) and very comfortable. House was exactly as advertised and lived up to it's description. Both of us would go back in a minute!

Stayed Apr 25, 2018Meagan's Beach House is an amazing beach house and perfect place to stay when visiting the keys. The house is beautifully decorated in a coastal theme and is immaculate when you step inside. We spent every afternoon enjoying the ocean breeze from the back porch, or laying on the dock looking for sea life. We've been lucky enough to have seen manatees, dolphins, sting rays and nurse sharks swim by. We also appreciate the illuminated dock because we can watch the tarpon hunting at night. Also, you will not find a better place to watch the gorgeous Key Largo sunset than on their dock. Maria and Mike are a pleasure to work with, and check-in and check-out couldn't be any easier. I highly recommend!

Stayed Mar 26, 2018We loved everything about our stay. Maria was reassuring with all of the details as this was our first HomeAway stay. The home is very beachy and cozy. We saw manatees, shrimp, crab, fish, and dolphins right from the dock. We fished, kayaked, and people watched for a week. The weather was beautiful as it snowed 7 inches in Wisconsin. It was between 75-82 degrees all week. There were great restaurants in the area. Lots of shopping. We highly recommend this place. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Stayed Apr 1, 2018Meagan's Beach House is a true gem. We just returned from spending a week here for our kid's Spring Break. We wanted to come down to Key Largo for my son to complete his Open Water SCUBA certification. We feel very fortunate to have been able to book and stay at Meagan's Beach House. Words will not do it justice, and others who have posted reviews are probably far more eloquent than I will manage. We have stayed in our fair share of rental homes, and our experience here was first class. Maria and Mike are excellent hosts. The house itself is very comfortable, and perfectly decorated to put you into the FL Keys state of mind. It has been very well stocked with towels, blankets, pillows, and kitchen-ware, as well as consumables such as tp, paper towels, and garbage bags. When you go shopping for your stay, you won't need to worry about the small stuff. The house was very clean, and kept nice and cool by the AC. Although we spent most of our time outdoors on the amazing back porch and Adirondack chairs in the sand. The property is a small lot, but it doesn't feel small. It has very thick vegetation growing along the sides of the property that provide plenty of privacy from the adjoining houses, as well as providing a really attractive view. The location could not be better, directly on the water with the huge dock out into the bay, and right next to Angler's Cut. It was great to watch all the incredible boats coming and going through the cut while we swam, fished, and kayaked from the dock. During our stay, there was a constant population of fish congregating around the dock, especially at night with the underwater lights on. We also were visited by sting rays, nurse sharks, turtles, tarpon, crabs, and a family of manatees right under the dock. For our kids, they could not have been more excited to be there. I would highly recommend Meagen's Beach House for your trip to Key Largo, unless it is at the same time that we want to come back for our next stay. Thank you Maria and Mike!

Stayed Feb 24, 2018Maria was a perfect host! She greeted us and was always available for questions. The fruit and bottle of wine were pleasant gifts. The house was perfectly cleaned and stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, swimming, and kayaking. We had the pleasure of enjoying three manatees who spent approximately one hour with us! We also enjoyed catching shrimp and fishing off the dock at night! The dock is well lit and perfect for night time fishing. This was our forth year in the keys and our most enjoyable vacation so far. Thank you Maria and Mike for sharing your piece of paradise with us! We hope to be back again!

Stayed Oct 19, 2017We enjoyed our two weeks at Meagan’s Beach House in 2014 so much that we vowed to make the long journey from the UK again. Planning for our four week visit started a full year in advance and we had invested significant funds and emotion in the project when Irma came on the scene to threaten our dream of returning. It was welcome news when Maria contacted us two weeks after Irma struck to let us know that the property had survived with only minor damage that was already being repaired. We were determined to get to Key Largo to support the Keys folk. Fortunately the Keys reopened to tourists before we flew. On arrival at The Beach House it was just as clean and tidy as when we left it in 2014 and we could detect very little impact of the hurricane. This is the cleanest, best maintained rental property we have ever stayed in and the owners Maria and Mike the warmest of hosts. The owners clearly love the property, using it themselves when they can, and that love shows in the way the house is presented and equipped. The delightful Beach House theme is consistently applied from the front gate to the end of the dock. As in 2014, the wildlife seen from the verandah overlooking the sea was a highlight for us. We saw ospreys, pelicans, belted kingfisher, herons, egrets and cormorants fishing (successfully) most days. Dolphin fins and manatee snouts were seen a few times just off the end of the dock where at night the mangrove snappers put on predatory displays chasing small fish and shrimp whilst cleaning up anything we threw in for them. By the time we arrived the tourist industry of Key Largo was back in action just six weeks after the hurricane passed through. Snorkelling and scuba boats were operating as was the glass bottom boat near Holiday Inn. We enjoyed swimming at Jacobs Aquatic Center. Restaurants next to US1 and bayside were back to normal serving delicious fresh fish. The Fish House, Snooks, Conch House and Mrs Mac’s Kitchen (breakfast) were all worth multiple visits. The Atlantic side was impacted by the storm surge and a couple of our favourites were badly damaged, but Snappers had reopened on a limited scale with a smaller Irmageddon menu restricted to popular items that they could produce to an excellent standard in a temporary kitchen. Overall we found the Keys to be battered but not cowed and recovering rapidly. Meagan’s Beach House remains our #1 choice of a place to stay in the Keys and we recommend it highly.
