This was our second stay at this location. As was our first stay, everything was wonderful..!!! Clean , cozy, and an absolutely beautiful setting to recharge the batteries ...Really looking forward to returning here..??
Wonderful time , beyond the expectations.
Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location, quiet and comfortable.
Masters Retreat is a perfect location for anyone visiting Pictured Rocks or looking for a peaceful getaway in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. My first impression of the property was how clean it was. It is well equipped and stocked with everything you may need - you really only need to arrive with food and clothes. We really enjoyed the fire pit and kayaks (available to use along with life jackets!). I hope to visit again to enjoy the beauty and comfort that Masters Retreat offers.
The property was clean and comfortable and is what is advertised.
Beautiful views from home. Very clean, plenty of room for for family. Used as home base to explore!
The property is well kept with all the needs. It is clean and comfortable. The bathroom is clean and nice. The property is a 15 minute drive from Munising. You have to get off the main road onto a gravel road and drive another minute on what seems very remote location. But when you get there the location and openness of the property is very nice. There are other properties on the lake so you don’t feel alone. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. The view from the balcony on to the lake is divine.
We stayed for 4 days with our 4 teenage kids and our dog. It was sooo nice! Comfortable, cozy, and luxurious in the best way. The lake was super clean and nice. Everything we needed for our stay was there. We will definitely be back! We loved it!
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was a lovely space perfect for our older kids family. Loved the 3 bedrooms with queen beds. The living space and kitchen were all that we needed. We enjoyed the dock and the use of the kayaks and row boat. A very pretty place on a quiet lake with lots of wildlife. Close enough to Munising for groceries and restaurants and all of the Pictured Rock area. Thank you for a lovely stay.
This house was perfect for our family. Private, spacious, great location. Our daughter will be moving up for school in the fall and we loved the place so much that we booked again for our August visit ❤️
Took parents up with us and they had an amazing time! The house was beautiful, clean and everything we were hoping for.
Everything was clean, fully stocked, well kept and in order. My expectations were exceeded..!!! Looking forward to returning here next year WO.
Secluded lakeside cabin. Beautiful view. Great place to stay.
We did not stay at the home that is pictured as a storm knocked out the internet. Management at Freshwater quickly gave us an alternative to stay at which was great
My husband and I just spent a week here it was clean, beds were comfy, the place has everything you need and well stocked with towels and supplies. We didn’t have any issues with Wi-Fi and our cell service was surprisingly better than we expected. The lake view was beautiful, and we loved looking at the stars on the clear nights. So peaceful out there so it was exactly what we wanted. Drive to Munising wasn’t bad either! We will be back to visit this place!!
If you want to have a place to relax while exploring Pictured Rock area this is it. Plenty of space for a large group. Wonderful large yard with grill and fire pit for dinner and smores. We took the provided kayaks out in the morning and evening and the full moon over the lake at night was beutiful. Would highly recommend for family or couple getaway!
Very clean and well maintained. It’s a perfect scenic 20min drive from Munising / Pictured Rocks. The kids loved chasing the chipmunks and playing on the dock. Very quiet didn’t hear anything other then a passing car or pontoon boat. Will definitely be coming back next year for our Pictured Rocks vacation.
Perfect location to visit Pictured Rocks. House was just as described, well appointed!
We rented this property for 5 days and enjoyed our stay very much. It had everything we needed/wanted. We spent a huge amount of time by and on the water. Cooked all our meals right there and enjoyed drinks on the deck. Very quiet and peaceful place. Would highly recommend.
We recently spent a weekend at this property. It was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the proximity to Munising, which is where most of our activities were planned. We did have time to take the kayaks out on the lake and had a campfire both nights we were there. It was quiet, except for another cabin lighting off fireworks in the evening (it was Fourth of July weekend after all). The property was clean. There were plenty of towels, cookware and utensils. We enjoyed our time here.
On arrival, we loved being surrounded by trees and on the lake. While the outside of the house is okay, when we opened the door we felt right at home. Loved the decor, solid doors, windows and views. Upper level is laid out great for us. The neighbors across the lake treated us to an awesome fireworks display. Grandkids had a great time with the kayaks. It was their first time in a honest to goodness row boat. They were clumsy at first, but got better in time. Was awesome to slow down and enjoy. I would absolutely come here again!
Had an awesome week out back away from everything wud definitely recommend this property
The property was clean and well maintained. All amenities listed were present. A very quiet peaceful area for a fun family vacation. This is the second time we’ve stayed, and we enjoyed both visits.
The property was neat, clean, well-maintained and well-stocked. We especially appreciated that the grass had been newly mown so we could be outside with the dog. When we were there, the area and lake was very quiet. We liked being in the center of the UP so that we could travel north or south on day trips. We will recommend it to friends.
This cabin was well laid out and was a perfect weekend vacation for my husband, four year old son and I. The yard is a gradual slope down to the water, nice and grassy. The lake front is sandy and was perfect for my four year old to splash around and catch minnows and turtles in. We caught and released lots of bluegill and bass off the dock. Cabin itself is private with no neighbors right next to you. Cabin is also stocked well with all the kitchen utensils you’d need and lots of towels/wash clothes for the bathroom. Enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck over the lake watching the wildlife come to life jn the morning.
