MASTERSUITE
Turn yourself in, to one of our most popular suites! The master suite was unavailable to guests until recently as it was the home to the previous owners. The only suite on the main floor has a brand new queen bed for 2 inmates. At the end of a long day of travel or leisure slip into the air massage tub or shake the cold out of your bones with the luxurious steam shower, as all of your problems and aches just melt away. The huge master closet, high ceilings, and spacious rooms will make you forget you are in the clink! Air mattress available for up to 2 more guests.
Master suite is a nice size. The gardens and deck patio area need to be trimmed and cleaned up. Kitchen/cooking area countertop was kinda dirty and large oven was dirty. Despite these few things, we had an interesting and wonderful stay!
We used this as our home base for hiking Pikes Peak and Backbone. Great place-loved the big kitchen and the tv room!
The home was absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed the small towns in the surrounding area. It was nice to get out of the big city and relax. Home owners where very polite and on top of communication. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for welcoming us in to your home. We will be back in the future.
The sidewalk leading up to the door was not shoveled well enough for someone with crutches or a boot or even myself to walk. It look like somebody Took a small shovel and tried to make a path in the grass but not on the sidewalk. The steps leading up to the door and the front step are extremely slippery and not cleaned off. We did not arrive until after three. Someone else’s shower supplies were still left in the shower the shower seat was still wet. On the floor next to the bed by the dresser was a can of pepper and a dryer sheet. The room is extremely hot. The bathroom is so extremely hot it was hard to shower and get ready the next day. . The common area was so cold we could hardly sit out there and watch TV.. The people that stayed in the room above us we’re not considerate of people be in the house below them. I know it was Valentine’s Day weekend and this is something that you can’t help but please remind people when there are other people in the house to make sure you walk through the house with your clothes on, and not have sex until 3:00 in the morning and big things on the floor all night long. As well as playing music. Be considerate of your surroundings. We were very unsatisfied which is heartbreaking because this was the first time we have been able to get out of our house since my husband had his accident at work last September with an amputation. This was our very first VRBO. Makes me skeptic I’m getting another
We enjoyed staying at the Jailhouse Inn in Elkader. The property was clean and very unique. Had some difficulty with the TV technology and connectivity, but otherwise all was good.
