Martinmaja Ferienhaus am Meer

We absolutely loved staying here! It is about a 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach with soft sand and a few pieces of amber. There is a private campground that you walk through and the owner was very kind to let us pass through. The home was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The only thing I would change is fluffier pillows. Martins forgot to send us check-in info, but his phone number was listed on VRBO and I was able to contact him through WhatsApp. He was very apologetic about the oversight and responsive and we were able to get in to the house once we figured out how to contact him. We did some minimal cooking, some relaxing in between playing at the beach and sightseeing. It is a little bit of a drive from Liepaja, and the road for 4 km is a pretty bumpy dirt road, but we loved the remote location. It was close to the forts, the Holocaust memorial, and Beberlini. The nearest grocery store is 20 minutes away, so plan your meals so you don't have to run there every day and you'll have as wonderful a vacation as we did!

Struggled to find a modern standard rental in Latvia for us and our grown up children so was really pleased to find this house. It's very simple and spacious and has all you would need, but most importantly to us, was only a couple of minutes walk from the lovely beach. Clean pristine sand, safe sea, generally we were the only people on it. Liepaja is close enough (20 minutes) for supermarket shopping, and there are good things to do locally like the wake board park, Tarzan high rope park, and the prison tour in the one time secret port of Karaosta. We also went further afield to the waterfalls at Kuldiga, go kart racing in Kandava (a hike but well worth it!) and the Soviet missile base down in Lithuania. We loved our experience in Latvia, a place not like anywhere else I have been in Europe, not even near neighbours like Sweden and Poland.

If you are looking for clean, beautiful, peaceful, modern place for you vacation with friend or big family this location is exactly what you need. Great modern house with all needed facilities, perfect window views, sea in 300 meters, outdoor grill and beautiful nature. Very good!
