We had a lovely stay. It was easy to get to Oktoberfest…only two blocks away. One block to the the most central part of Main Street. Check in super easy. The house was as clean as you can get a house that old. The decor and design make you feel like you’re visiting grandma. But there was really no place in the main room to sit that was comfortable. That furniture was pretty worn! The beds were great though! There was plenty of room for all six of us. All in all we would stay there again just to be in the heart of fredricksburg. Thanks for a great stay.

I should have read the reviews much more closely. The exact same issues mentioned from a couple of years ago still persist. It is very worn and not very clean. It is cluttered with nicknacks and old furniture. There are holes in the wall, scratches on the paint, closet doors that are swollen and don’t open without pulling on them hard, and although there are windows, most of them are shuttered and are blocked by furniture to open. The TVs were inoperable because the remotes don’t work. Some lamps don’t work. Faucet in the shower was broken and felt like it was going to fall off. And the worst of the worst. The sheets on two of the beds had hair on them (not ours). No one giving any care to this making the bed would have missed them. Or did they not change the sheets…. No idea. Lastly, it smelled. I love old houses and that wasn’t the smell. It was the “we haven’t deep cleaned this is a long long time” smell. We stay in VRBO’s all over the world. While the host communicated well, it was very close to the action, the check-in procedure was seamless, and the price wasn’t too bad, the rest of this was a shocker to me. It could be so much better with a little TLC.

Perfect walking distance to Main Street for shopping and food. Only suggestion would be to put black out curtains in the Red room. Everything else was amazing for our stay!

The house is beautiful and in a great location. I would stay here again.

Just did one winery, but several times. Most interested in town history, shops, galleries, great food.

Leasing company was not very communicative.

Great place and we had a nice visit. My only input would be the owners really emphasized picking up after our dog, but the front yard had a lot of feces/waste. My guess is picking are walking their dogs and not picking up after them.

The description and pictures were exactly what we saw. Kitchen was stocked with anything you'd need to make a meal. Walking distance to everything in and around Main Street.

Home is roomy and in a quiet neighborhood. It could use some TLC and updates. Check-in and Check-out communication from host was lacking.

Our annual friends trip took us to Fredericksburg this past month. The house was exactly as it was pictured and described. It is in walking distance to Main Street and shopping. A fun time was had by all.

Charming home, very comfortable

House is nice and location is great. hottub stairs as not accessible and feels like is a death trap.

This was our second time to stay here and we had so much fun 🤩 We shopped too much lol enjoyed rocking on the front porch with coffee and visiting and the weather was beautiful!! We will be back for sure, thank you 🙏🏻

Property is large and comfortable. No fence for the pet friendly needs we had and yard had stickers. Outdoor patio and amenities were great.

The location was great with ample parking spots and rooms were large. The decor and furnishings are a bit dated, and there is quite a bit of cosmetic wear around the house. The house could also use some outlet strips. But, the beds were comfortable and there were several spaces for us to all gather together in the evenings. We did really envoy the house.
