Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The family (all adults) very much enjoyed staying at Marie’s and plan to choose it for future visits. The location is a quick drive from the shore (we always love going to the HOA beach) and provides immediate easy walking / biking access to the surrounding forest. We like its uphill location away from traffic on the main road but still an easy walk to the lake.The home has large deck in back facing peaceful trees - with seating, dining, hot tub. It is well equipped ... nice kitchen, laundry washer/dryer, plenty of cozy seating, large TV’s, a great pool table (we were so busy and tired after being outside in the summer that we never turned on a TV and we played pool only for 10 minutes over our one week stay), which should be especially nice in the winter. We used the large garage to store our bikes and river / lake float toys.Julie and her staff at West Lake Properties are always prompt and helpful -- superb rental company. For this trip I had special request I had when I was booking, and I appreciated that they remembered and were willing to accommodate.

This was a lovely home and we enjoyed our time there immensely. 5 Stars all the way!

We have a larger size family and sometimes have a hard time finding homes that can accommodate us all and give us enough space for entertaining. This house not only had the space, but the deck also was very spacious and had newer, comfortable patio furniture which made our family vacation so relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped with all the basic needs and supplies. The game room was perfect for the teen age kids in our group and the hot tub was delightful after a long day’s hike! The private beach access to the Tahoe Park Beach was so nice to take advantage of. We had a nice BBQ and the kids were able to swim, play basketball and even sand volleyball! Then finally to top it all off there is a nice viewing point just up the street where we got to see one of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen. All in all, this house was hands down one of my favorite rentals in Lake Tahoe!! We will be renting this home again in the near future!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Tahoe City is a great peace to wander and explore. Great neighborhood. My only complaint, and this isn’t on the house or the owners at all. We had a mechanical issue with one of our jet skis and asked if we could leave it anchored at Tahoe Park ( access to this private club comes with the house rental) and we were told that we could for 72 hours. Well they towed it the next day and we weren’t notified. The staff at Tahoe Park were rude and unhelpful. But other than that, the property is amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was in a nice quiet area just south of Tahoe City. Lots of trees and nature right next to the cabin. It is definitely up some steep roads though, so winter conditions might be a bit hairy. Cabin was spotless and in excellent condition. Beds were comfortable and there were ample linens and towels available to guests. The cabin has wi-fi and it's pretty good for the area. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, and the gill worked perfectly. The den has a huge pool table for entertainment as well as a table tennis surface you can place on top of the pool table. However, the space around said table is limited, so you can't really sit in the den while people play. Patio is big and spacious with plenty of seating for larger groups. Hot tub works just fine. The management company was also very courteous and were very quick to respond to any questions or help we requested. The only issues we ran into were low water pressure and low hot water. Sometimes faucets and showers had low water pressure and hot water seemed to run out fairly quickly. We were a small group compared to what the cabin can fit, and even then showers ran out of hot water frequently. Also the private beach access gets surprisingly busy, especially on the weekends. Overall though, would highly recommend this property. It's in a great location, and a great place to just hang out in-between hiking and touring around the lake.

It was a great trip and a beautiful home! Hopefully we can be back again next year for another visit!

This Home was absolutely PERFECT for myself my adult family and their partners to reunite and socialize together. The Kitchen was easy to navigate and very well equipped, loads of counter space and we were fortunate to use the brand new highly efficient gas range...yes we ALL love to cook! Eating dinner, lunch, breakfast and chatting together at the spacious dining room table was delightful. Fun Indoor activities included a pool table, ping pong, all TV channels.....we packed games and completed a 1000 piece puzzle in 3 days...... all indoor activities were welcomed due to the hazardous air quality during our stay. The outdoor patio and furnishings were very comfortable along with the hot tub and bbq, again we had very limited use due to the outside horrible air quality. We were not able to enjoy the private beach on the lake/ basketball court/horse shoe/volleyball and whatever else that area had to offer, no hiking or biking due to the extreme smokey conditions. A few comments/suggestions my family brought up.. 1. The 2 bedrooms upstairs should have fans, even portable. 2. Kitchen should have a few good knives that actually slice through a steak. It was just unfortunate timing for our stay...We vacated one day early, I requested a credit, Julie and Amanda honored my request. I would absolutely stay at Maries Getaway again :) Cheers, Dee
