Property was clean, location was perfect. Just make sure to bring 4 wheel drive. We got stuck in dirt mud. We were about to pay $400 to have our car towed by 4x4 but the good neighbors helped us. Another complain is the TV not connected & the Netflix wasn’t working. Other than that really good place to stay..

The property is in a good location near the entrance to the park. It was very quiet. The property was clean and the kitchen was well supplied. However the property is not as pictured in the listing. The living room furniture is quite different and not comfortable and the grounds could use some maintenance. mainte

The corporate management company (the “host”) is overbearing, difficult to work with and communicates poorly. - the most serious issue that came up is that when we ran the heat and washing machine after arriving at the property, we smelled gas and were advised by the management to leave the property and never given an all clear to return. The manager claims no gas issue but I have little confidence in them.No actual person with a name talked with us or met us, even when we had problems with the property. They use an unsigned corporate email account. We had to stay at a hotel nearby. Here are a few other specific issues in the order they came up:- the host will charge 45 after booking for a damage waiver (this site has a mechanism for asking for a waiver before booking)- they will ask for a picture of the credit card by email or their system (neither is secure)- the property is not as described. The most obvious is that this property is not on 10 acres. There are many neighbors very nearby.- they had no Wi-Fi on property. The manager blamed a “issue affecting the entire San Bernardino county”. I called five hotels within a few miles of the property and they all had Wi-Fi. The system at the property just needed to be reset. The property managers were dishonest in many ways. The management company provided several corporate explanations that I just don’t buy.We got a roughly 60% refund after repeatedly asking their customer service representative.

You can not get much closer to Joshua Tree National Park unless you are camping in the park! This place was ideal, close to amenities, dining, and recreation. The home was light and airy, well decorated in Mid-century, with a brand new kitchen, two full baths, and three bedrooms. One bedroom is quite small, but the other two were roomy and one with an on suite. The linens were all new as were the shower towels. We appreciated that filtered tap water, TP and paper towels were provided. Since we left everyday for hiking in the park, we spent only a short walk outside but I must say that the outside amenities were weathered by the sun and showed a lack of maintenance. But I did not rent this place for hanging around the remote sunbaked desert landscape (although I saw a beautiful sunrise over the mountain out the front window!). It was the perfect place to wake up to the sun, fix a breakfast on the new gas range, make sandwiches with supplies from the brand-new fridge, then head out for the day. At night, the showers were so wonderful (we did water ration), the couch comfy, and the mattresses were perfect for our weary bones. The last thing I want to add is to arrive in the daylight. The road into the home is rough, not easy to drive in the dark, and the home is dark. But Google Maps took us right to the door! Oh, one more thing...We had a minor request and the hosts were immediately responsive, by both text and email. And they followed up too.

First timer alongside my sister for a quiet weekend. The location is an authentic Joshua Tree experience! Nestled atop a quiet dirt path off the same street that Joshua Tree National Park is located. Just a short 5 min drive to the shops and restaurants. So quiet. So clean and they included small details often overlooked such as q tips, sound machine, extra blanlets and towels.

The property felt roomy enough. There were neighbors, but not too close. We had desert view from the picture window. The view out of the opposite side of the house was nice as well.

Very happy with the check in process, and our hosts were very quick in responding to our concerns. And you can't find a more convenient location. The driveway wouldn't work if you had a sports car, but other than that it was easy to negotiate. Anyway, I would gladly stay there again next time I am in the area.

If you plan to spend most of your time exploring the park, you probably can't do much better than this spot. It's less than a mile from the entrance. The house is well-situated with nice views. Communication with hosts was excellent. If you're planning to spend a lot of time hanging out at the house, it might be a bit minimalist. Bring your own entertainment, as there is no sound system (the record player and speakers shown in one of the photos is no longer there) and tv options are very limited. The kitchen could use a few extra items to make it better suited to longer stays (we stayed four nights): there are no ice trays, so bring your own ice; we couldn't find a can opener; only one wine glass; etc. These were vary minor issues and again, probably won't matter at all to most people. We've been to Joshua Tree many, many times, and sometimes we just like to hang out at the house. The place is a good value for the price.

Quaint small home in the heart of the desert, just minutes from the west entrance of the Joshua Tree National Park. Pictures are accurate. Road to the property is dirt and rough sand from highway to house, can be rough on a vehicle. Very peaceful desert environment. Saw a coyote on property morning we departed. All conveniences of home are provided. No ac , but swamp coolers cool down the house at night to make sleeping comfortable. Worked fine for us since we were in the park during the heat of the day. Would recommend for travelers seeking a true desert experience.

The property was just as expected from the photos. . Very clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and nice bathrooms. Just over a mile to Joshua Tree entrance , so you can easily go in and out for some amazing views and hikes . Sitting out in the back yard is quiet and relaxing . The host was extremely responsive and easy to work with. Would definitely return to this rental .
