Maplewood Lake Michigan Get-Away

We couldn’t have been happier with this property! Everything about it was wonderfully beyond expectation. The photos don’t really show you what a wonderful area the living room, kitchen and porch are. The bedrooms on the main floor are great and the downstairs area is ideal for kids and teens. dealing with the host with seamless. Overall, a fantastic experience!

We had a perfect time at the house! Everything was clean and easy, the beach was right there and the house had everything we needed for an easy weekend get-together. We'll be booking here again!

We enjoyed the ease to communicate with the owner when needed. Owner was accommodating of our ask for a little bit earlier check in. The house was a great location to walk so beach — even with toddlers in tow. :) Had a great amount of beach towels and beach items to take with us to the beach too! Plenty of room for us to rest comfortably at night. The adults enjoyed the screened in porch especially at night once the kids were asleep :) I would definitely recommend especially if want a short stay, trips to the beach, and the ease cooking at home. I would suggest maybe little softer bed sheets and the gas fired place outlet cap is loose.

We had a group of 7 long-time high school friends get together to celebrate our 50th birthdays. This house had the perfect space for hanging out, playing games, eating, and relaxing. The screened in porch was wonderful! We had hoped to do an evening fire at the beach but the weather didn't cooperate. The beach entry system was a little confusing. We had to walk down a little farther to enter at Stop 31 and hadn't taken the pass but I showed the guard the address from the VRBO email and they easily gave us access. The second bathroom and bedrooms in the basement seemed weird and inconvenient from the listing but actually was no big deal and worked out really well. It would be perfect if two families were to share the house or if adults wanted upstairs, the kids could have down. We had an absolutely perfect weekend and would HIGHLY recommend this property!

This property was in a safe, quiet and cozy neighborhood. It was well stocked with anything you could need to have a great vacation by the water. It is just a short walk away from the lake and the neighborhood even included us in their summer party. The property comes with a pass for the beach which was great.

We really enjoyed our stay. The upstairs is spacious in a way that makes it really easy for a medium-sized group (6 adults, 3 kids) to simultaneously be together and break into smaller groups. We really appreciated how toddler-friendly the space was as well. The only downside was that one bedroom is in the basement, which can only be accessed through the garage and feels disconnected from the rest of the house. We ended up spending almost no time down there as a result. But we never felt we needed more than the upstairs and outside spaces. Overall, it was pretty ideal for our size group.

We enjoyed staying at this property! The house has an updated kitchen and nice screened in porch. 10 minute walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

This home was absolutely beautiful! It’s in a very safe, lovely neighborhood and a short 10 minute walk to the beach. 10/10 recommend.

This house was perfect for a family reunion. The younger generation stayed comfortably downstairs while the older generation stayed on the first floor. The eating area and kitchen were large enough for everyone to socialize at the same time. Perfect location!
