Mansion - Aljezur

The house was quite conform tp the description. BUT several topics need to be raised;- very poor consideration (no upfront message, no message during the stay to ensure everything is okay)- very short welcome, bypassing the following - (and essential!) elements- horrible smell from one of the bathroom, very likey coming from the fact the sink drain is not equiped with a trap...- colony of ants in the kitchenI would not recommend, without serious upgrading of the overall

The house is great, but the service is unfortunately very, very poor. The host lives in Italy, so you communicate with the housekeeper who lives nearby. The two of them are a team you'd rather not have anything to do with. As the host rarely rents the house in winter, he does not know how much gas is used for heating and warm water. After about 5 days the gas was empty and we were without hot water in the entire house for 24 hours in January and without heating for 5 days. In the second week, the drain overflowed after showering and the smaller bathroom and hallway were under water. The housekeeper did not take care of the blocked drain at our request. She also did not reply to our messages for the entire vacation and the bathroom was unusable for the rest of our vacation. On the morning of our departure, there was even feces coming out of the floor. The host and the housekeeper are now blaming us for this and are both no longer responding to any of our messages. To summarise: During our vacation, we had to spend 2 weeks organizing empty or broken but necessary things regarding the house and dealing with a self-centered, not present host and his obedient housekeeper. A time when you actually just want to relax and long for peace and quiet.

Nice place. Some problema with WiFi and a feb foto power outage. On considering the fact that we stayed almost two weeks, a free change of towels and bed sheets would have been appreciated, however we were able to make do with the available washing machine. House is beautiful and well equipped

It was a quiet rest, in a place close to major surf spots like Amado Beach and others. A nice, traditional, weel decorated house, with a top cleaning. It should have an electric owen to allow more types of meals. and the internet access should be upgraded to say the least. But if you dont mind beiing isolated from the rest of the world for one week, it is a must go!

Clean and cozy house. Very comfortable for 4 people. Location is almost perfect - 10’ to a desert beach and to Aljezur. Things the house can improve: - no wifi nor network connection- impossible to work. They tried to help but it just didn’t work for whole week. - increase privacy - put some trees between neighbours and road. When we are outside, we are almost sharing the garden. Also very close to busy road so some trees would help

Near the beaches in a very quiet area, Very nice house with everything that we needed.

We were very lucky that we were the only ones that was renting as there is a 1 bedroom apartment connected to the house at the back corner. The place was peaceful and quiet. We arrived late due to flight delays in Lisbon. We notified Isabel and she told us where to find the key to gain access. The only drawback was that it was raining and cold when we arrived. The heat had not been turned on so the house was freezing cold. We were not able to get it to work until the next morning when the grounds keeper called Isabel. After that was figured out it was smooth sailing from there.

Cosy house with grill and garden and nice interior. There was a problem with the gaz , but Isabel was very very helpful . We also appreciated the fresh flowers she had put in.
