Manor House private pool/near the beach in Sintra/Cascais Natural Park

Beautiful Property. 8 of us stayed for our son’s wedding. We had a great time socializing we everyone and at the same time having your own space to getaway He helped us with possible sites to see and dining

We had a great week in our family if 14. Life centred around the pool house and pool. The beds/ houses are distributed around the site so you have some privacy but all mert up in the pool area.Manuel was very helpful with ideas on restaurants and trips and sorted out any issues promptly. The tennis court was an added bonus. Close to beaches and whilst the nearest restaurant is a car journey away this was no problem.

All good all in all. We had some minor problems with electricity. Good that we had one guy who knows the fix them in our group.

This is a truly unique property - a gorgeous historical estate with two stunning pools, an amazing covered poolhouse that's perfect for shaded lounging, two kitchens, a tennis court, and tons of space for a large group to spread out or hang out. It's within driving distance to a ton of beautiful beaches and Sintra, and there are multiple buildings - a main sleeping house near the gate, and the poolcovered patiokitchen further in, with smaller buildings scattered all over the property. Heads up that the owner, Manuel, lives on site and is usually present, which wasn't clear to us from our booking. If you're comfortable with the owner being about 30-50ft of the main group hangout spot at the pool, and dropping in for visits, this is a 10/10 rental.

My husband and I took our adult children and their spouses (a total of 10 of us) to Portugal for a week. Manuel's house was the perfect home base as we traveled out from there to visit towns, beaches and wineries. We would return in the late afternoon each day to the wonderful pool and pool house. In fact, we spent most of our time at the pool house. We cooked on the grills several nights and we had a chef come in two nights. There was plenty of dishes, glassware etc. and refrigerator space for everything. We would definitely return again. Manuel was the perfect host.

A beautiful property! We felt as though we were staying at an elegant villa, far from the crowds but it was wonderfully convenient to everything we wanted to do. Manuel was very helpful and responsive to any request.

This place was incredible. The host was super nice and communicative, the house was clean and ready for us, and it fit 15 people comfortably. The property is absolutely beautiful too; very green and peaceful. I would 1000% recommend this place for families or groups looking for a relaxing weekend in the countryside outside Lisbon or Cascais.

What a beautiful place to stay. We had an incredible time of non stop activities. Surfing, tennis, padel, table tennis and bbqs every evening.Manuel was really accommodating and quick to reply. Thank you for having us!!

We had the best time and bonding experience. The property is just amazing for work and leisure and suited our requirements completely. There are enough fabulous bedrooms with en-suit bathrooms to accommodate a working team comfortably, while there are enough options to have some space.Great walking distance to the awesome beach.Special thank you to Manuel, our Villa host.

I brought a group of yoga students to Portugal for the 1st time and am so glad I found Solar de Magoito. It is a beautiful, spacious property and everyone loved it. The house and the cottages gave everyone plenty of space and the pool house was perfect for yoga and to have all of our meals. Everyone commented how clean the house was. The pool also looked so inviting but it was a little too cool while we were there to enjoy it. Manuel was always available and gave me some good tips on wine, cheese and restaurants. Chef Jose made 2 delicious dinners for our group. I would love to come back again. Thank you, Manuel ?

Here's a short review for our stay with host Manuel in Sintra, which was absolutely fantastic. Manuel was incredibly hospitable and helpful. The house and garden were spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained. We hired a chef who prepared amazing meals for us. The location was near the beach and the westernmost part of Europe, just a half-hour drive from Estoril and Cascais, and an hour from Lisbon. We had an absolutely superb stay.

Beautiful property, had a great time and the host was extremely welcoming. We did have a little bit of an issue with hot water for the showers but the host gave us plenty of free wine and bread as an apology. Would highly recommend.

I stayed with a group of 15!!! It was perfect … calm, clean and beautiful! Manuel was a very gracious host! Can’t recommend enough!

Three generations, age 20 to 82, stayed for 6 nights. Good location. Large, very private grounds. Roomy and beautiful interior. Great restaurants nearby (Restaurant Central in Colares, Retiro do Saloio, Moinho Iberica). Grandchildren loved tennis courts, fitness center, ping pong table. pool table, and the pool. The pool house was super for an evening in. Host was very accommodating and gave us bottles of his favorite local wines to try. Had problems with the ac which resulted in in the host opening an extra room for us.. My only nit is that in a humid climate, guests should get more than one bath towel per week.

We stayed at Manuel's home to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary and our experience more than exceeded our expectations and my parents had a lifetime experience. Thank you Manuel

Beautifully, gated grounds with many unique flowers and trees associated to the region, enjoyed by 5 couples. Very large pool house for entertaining. Chef Jose is awesome to hire for an evening!
