Mammoth Cave Getaway

Amazing place to stay. Clean, quiet, and relaxing. Just what we were looking for in a place to stay. We quickly felt at home and enjoyed our stay. The host sent the check-in information the day before and left snacks to welcome us. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and hot water all worked well. Had a full kitchen to make meals to save money on eating out. Super close to Mammoth Cave. Everything I expect a vacation home to be. The host did a very good job!

I give this location 4 stars rather than 5 due to some minor issues that may not matter to other people. There was only 1 extra blanket available despite having 2 beds, so it made curling up on the couch with a blanket challenging for multiple people. The couch in the living room has a low back which I personally don't find to be the most comfortable. Some of the cookware was heavily used and so the food we cooked stuck to it (specifically, we tried making eggs in the skillet and they got really stuck which made it difficult to clean). Lastly, there was no mixing bowl so we had to get creative when we made pancake mix.I do have to acknowledge the awesome things as well. The hosts were SO communicative and easy to reach, which I really appreciated. Additionally, the location cannot be beat if you are visiting Mammoth Cave. It was only 10 minutes away! We were able to leave the visitor center, come back to eat lunch, take a quick nap and/or watch some TV, and then easily head back for our next tour. And I also loved they had a guest mode set for the Roku so you programmed when you'd be checking out. That way, any streaming services you logged in to with your personal log-in automatically logged out when you checked out. It was very cool!

The rental was perfect for us. It was clean, updated and spacious. Since we were visiting Mammoth Cave area, the location was ideal. The owners were very easy to work with and communication was quick. We really enjoyed the property as well, very quiet and relaxing in the backyard and on the front porch swing. We loved it here and wish we could have stayed longer!

GREAT value! Quaint and country setting. You will hear all types of bird song! Great communication without feeling overly managed. Spacious kitchen with nice appliances. Amazing yard area. There is a small step down into the bathroom and the utility room/back door room for those with mobility issues. This is a convenient base from which to explore Cave City and MCNP. Mike’s Rock Shop, Honey&OakBBQ (great value), Onyx and Diamond caves, hiking trails, and Salon 90 for a massage in case you need ideas for a couples trip! This home is a gem itself!

Short drive to Mammoth Cave! Very clean inside.

Location convenient to the National Park is key, but this place was comfy and nice, too

Everything was as described. I had an issue with the code letting us in when we arrived but he came right over and got it working with no more issues during our stay.

This was a cute little house that was remodeled. It was clean and in a great area for mammoth cave. We are a family of 3 and had more than enough room.

This house was perfect for our family of four during our vacation to the Mammoth Cave area. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very close to Mammoth Cave National Park, and all the other activities we had planned. Barry and Daniela were very responsive to the messages I sent and were great hosts. For reference, the house is about 5-7 minutes from the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center, 5 minutes from Mammoth Cave Adventure Park, 7-8 minutes from a handful of restaurants, and there’s canoe and kayak rental directly across the street from the house. Bowling Green, KY is about 35 minutes away and Buc ee’s is about 15 minutes away.

What can I say? The property is a stone’s throw from the National Park. Once you figure out the remote controls which are in pockets on the walls, you’re all set. The swing out front scrapes the wall, but if you sit near the wall it won’t scrape. Be aware that there are cameras outside the house.

A nice place to stay, very conveniently located to Mammoth Cave.

The location cannot be beat unless you are camping on site. Less than ten minute from the caves. Do recommend the zip lining at Adventures. Zoo was nice and includes a tour to a very cute cave.

Location for visiting the area can't be beat! Easy to get to and extremely close to Mammoth Cave.We had a great family getaway. This was a fantastic cute house to begin and end our days at. We BBQ'd at night, played some cornhole, and used the firepit.Was everything that we had hoped and more!

We came to Mammoth Cave during Spring Break and this house was in a great location and the exact space we needed for our family of 4. The house is right off of mammoth cave national park. We were able to get to everything we needed in 10 minutes. We had a great trip and would recommend this house to anyone visiting the area.

The place was clean and well organized and stocked. Great location to visit Mammoth Caves. Nice quiet place away from the crowds. If you plan on visiting in winter I recommend bringing slippers, floor is a little chilly.

We were very pleased with our stay. The house was very clean. Location was great, very close to Mammoth Cave. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed over with our dogs and had a wonderful time. Comfy beds, comfortable/adjustable room temperatures, basic kitchen needs, and outdoor cooking needs. We had a great stay and will be back again! :) thank you!!

My husband and I had a great stay at this house just minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park. Easy check in and host was easy to communicate with.

Location of home is very close to Mammoth Cave. Pictures accurate of home/property. Beds were very comfortable. Had everything we needed for our stay. Only thing,which no one has control over, was it must have been “lady bug season”. Owners offered to have them vacuumed up but we just took care of it ourselves.

Don & daughter yearly bike ride. We enjoyed a fire side chat, saw the “Northern Lights”, then watched “Arachnophobia” again together. The beds were “just right” & we slept like 3 “bugs in a rug”. After a good nights sleep…we biked the 19 mile trek on the Mammoth Cave Railway bike trail. Thanks for a lovely experience.🤗
