The cobwebs/spiders thru out the whole ceiling of the house showed it had not been cleaned/dusted in quite a while. There was no real view of the lake just the top of the house and bushes of the back deck. The stairs leading down to the lake are very dangerous for children and older adults. When you get down there was NO beach at all which was never mentioned in your AD. Overall, we were very disappointed in the location, lack of beach, lack of lake view, and cleanliness of the house. We did not leave a review in your book as it would have been very negative and felt that hopefully after leaving a review online to you, you will try and advertise your home a little more honestly. We won't be back.
Perfect spot for Ironman Musselman plus literally right down the road from my favorite winery, Billsboro! Dock was great perk, I was able to get out in my paddle board a couple times. Loved the patio for morning coffee and the little pavilion was nice in the evening. Very clean. Would definitely stay again! One thing to note for elderly or physically impaired, the steps to the dock are many and very steep which is due to the landscape not something that can changed. Was not an issue for us but something to be aware of.
Wonderful lake side home for extended family to gather to celebrate graduation weekend. The deck had amazing views of Seneca Lake. The covered picnic area had a new grill and a lake view, plenty of room to host a bar-b-q. Kitchen was very well stocked. Bedrooms were nicely decorated & comfortable.
The property was nice. Unfortunately, due to rain a few days ahead there were weeds that had grown over 4 foot tall that precluded us from seeing the lake from our fire pit or our porch or our gazebo.. Other than that, the house is well equipped the furniture was comfortable And we had a wonderful time in the finger lakes.
We had a great time … Barry was very accommodating and helpful.
This property had a great view of lake. It was very relaxing to sit on deck and watch the water activity. We traveled to Syracuse for our son and daughter-in-law’s baby shower which was not a bad drive. The house gave us plenty of room when we were there. Would stay here again
never found wash clothes, even after I texted the owner. The house was not clean enough, too many cobwebs and spiders. Something smelled terrible when you opened the front door, either the inside of the trash can or there could have been a small dead animal, but it was horrible smelling. Also under the kitchen sink was discgusting, . The long and short of it, I would never recommend to stay there, ever.
The lake house wasn’t anything fancy. It was a comfortable house, comfortable beds, everything was fine. A nice dock with a sandy area to swim. We were in town for a wedding in Geneva and it was perfectly located. We did a wine tour around the lake, hiked the gorge, and swam. Great weekend.
We had a great family vacation. The yard is very nice with a wonderful view of the lake. We enjoyed the majority of our meals outside in the covered dining area and also enjoyed the covered space when we had a couple of rainy days. The fire pit is great for campfires. The kitchen is well-equipped and the open concept allowed the family to engage with each other during meal times. There is a lot to do near by, however we enjoyed must of our time at the cottage. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. Thank you Barry for being our host.
The house was not cleaned properly. Several issues have been discussed years ago on this chat and are still not fixed (plumbing in kitchen). There were multiple issues with cleanleness. Owner was great at communication, but nothing got fixed while I was there. House needs major TLC, even for a lake cottage. I would not reserve this place during COVID until it is properly cleaned.
