Geneva, New York
You will absolutely love this completely remodeled year round lake cottage. Enjoy lake living with a private patio, grill and large lakefront yard. This lake cottage is a one bedroom with a queen bed and a fully equipped kitchen. You will have access to 100 feet of Seneca Lake lakefront with a dock. Enjoy fine dining within five minutes of the cottage. Experience over 20 Finger Lakes wineries and breweries - many within biking distance. Kayaks welcome.
The house was great for my wife and I. The interior was perfect, clean and comfortable. Only thing would be add shear drapes on the lake facing windows to have a little privacy. Not that we watched a lot of tv but the tiny one provide is hard to view from location of furniture. Overall we will come back to stay here again.
Beautiful property that is near so many wineries, brew and cider houses. Just about a 10 minute drive to Main Street in Geneva. You’ll find a lot of dining options and Wegmans grocery store. The cottage is charming, very clean and gorgeous view of the lake. Very quiet area. If you are looking to unwind, this is the perfect place! Check in/out is a breeze and property owner is quick to respond. We just let them know when we arrived and when we left. We would definitely stay here again.
Clean, recently renovated space. Small, but enough space for two. Just a few steps to the lake. About a five minute drive to Geneva. A great restaurant (Ports Cafe) is a quarter mile away. A good location: Most of the wineries, breweries, and hiking trails on three of the Finger Lakes (Seneca, Cayuga, Keuka) are within an hours drive.
The house was perfect for the two of us
My wife and I enjoyed our extended anniversary getaway here. We absolutely loved the cottage in several ways. The weather was cooler for August, however, the location allowed us to e-bike to a number of local wineries and breweries as well as attractions in Geneva itself. We appreciate the clean linens and cleanliness of the cottage itself. The bed was welcoming and comfortable after a long day of playing. Typical kitchen items are provided for meal preparation and Wegmans was close by for supplies. The beachfront allowed nice mornings and evenings to enjoy by the water. Thanks to.Kim and all the support for making our time enjoyable.
We really enjoyed our stay & would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet get away. The property is as cute as a button! It was clean and comfortable & the kitchen well stocked. We had everything we needed. We loved the location and enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas as well. The only thing I would recommend is more hooks for towels & possibly a few hooks or coat rack near the front door. We felt uneasy about parking our car underneath the dead tree.
The house was small but very clean! We brought 2 blow-up mattresses for our kids so they each had their own space & it worked out just great. We enjoyed the paddle boat and we brought 2 kayaks & borrowed 2 of the homeowners so all 4 of us could enjoy the lake together. We had a great week!
Kimberly‘s cottage on the lake was wonderful. The interior is nicely updated and the bed is very comfortable. The huge yard makes it feel like you’re staying in park, lots of wildlife, very peaceful and quiet. The view of the lake from the cottage is so nice. The location is great too, very close to wineries, breweries and Geneva. Definitely a great place to stay!
Ideal setting for early autumn in the finger lakes
We absolutely loved our time here at this terrific property! Located directly on Seneca Lake, just off W. Lake Road (NY14), this place can't be beat for amazing lake views, superb location with a dock and water access, a huge property for walks and private enjoyment; we could not have asked for a better place to stay. This recently renovated home away from home had everything we needed including a modern kitchen with new appliances including a gas range and new refrigerator, all utensils, dishes, pots and pans. The bath was large with a window that opened and also a great stall shower with beautiful tile. The floors were Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) in a nice wood tone. The bedroom featured a barn door that slides closed, a closet and a chest of drawers along with two night stands. The living room area is gorgeous and spacious with a lovely view from a four panel wide, glass wall with slider to the patio. There is WiFi available with good speed and a TV atop the beautiful fireplace. The home is light and airy with a lovely beamed ceiling. It was perfect for our temporary home as we moved to the Finger Lakes, and we enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is very close to downtown Geneva, shopping at Wegmans and many restaurants in this college town that is the home to Hobart and William Smith Colleges. There are two restaurants just across W. Lake Rd that are quite fun and have views of the Lake, along with Belhurst Castle and Geneva-on-the-Lake, just north of the home. From here we explored both sides of the Lake and also drove down to Keuka Lake, not far at all. And of course, there are many wineries along both sides of Seneca Lake that are worth exploring. We were impressed by The Finger Lakes Welcome center at the north end of the lake, plenty of information in a wonderful setting -- with views! It's worth exploring nearby small towns like Phelps, Waterloo, Seneca Falls and more. Canandaigua Lake is about 20 minutes to the West and has more beautiful scenery. About the same time to the East you have Cayuga Lake to explore, too. All in all, our month-long stay was wonderful. Our hosts, Kim and Sandy were welcoming, warm and gracious. When a storm knocked out power for a few hours, they were ready to drive over and bring oil lamps and flashlights. We had what we needed, thanked them for the offer, and the power was back shortly. If you stay here, you are guaranteed to love the home and the area. We loved it and you will too!
My family needed a place to stay while we looked for a place to live. We couldn't have had better luck since our stay turned into a wonderfully relaxing month on the lake. Kim and her husband, Sandy were very accommodating and friendly. They responded right away with any questions we had but also allowed us privacy; they only would come by if needed. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Sitting on the dock at night under the stars with the fireflies flickering all around is a memory we will cherish. The town of Geneva is so friendly and has anything you could need. If I could rate 10 stars I would, there was nothing I could recommend to improve on. It was by far the best experience we have had with vacation rentals and we've had many.
