Come enjoy a relaxing stay at the Main Lodge at Rancho Madroño in the Texas Hill Country. This three bedroom home comes fully equipped with all necessities for your stay. This cottage is located on a 417 acre ranch with a beautiful creek running throughout. Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, this vacation lodge offers scenic views, live spring fed creek, and a lifetime of memories.

Today Pipe Creek water levels are unseasonably low due to drought and low rainfall conditions in the Texas Hill Country.

All our lodges are quaintly decorated and feature comfortable furniture, fully equipped kitchens, air conditioning and the majestic beauty of rolling hills and natural Texas wildlife. The Main Lodge sleeps 8 people. The master bedroom has a king bed and full ensuite. The second bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds and access to the main bathroom. The third bedroom has a queen bed and full bath.

The natural beauty and tranquility that surrounds you at Rancho Madroño also offers you a variety of recreational opportunities. From hiking, fishing, biking, and swimming, the many activities available at this ranch on Pipe Creek will provide you and your guests with many different adventures and memories. Just a short drive from the ranch you will also find multiple activities such as visiting historic, quaint towns, local wineries, magical caves, and the San Antonio Riverwalk.

Pipe Creek meanders through the hidden valley on the ranch. This spring fed creek is beautiful and wonderful for fishing and swimming. However, during drought years or during times of seasonal lows, the creek will not always be flowing above ground and will, therefore, be dry or at a lower water level in some areas. However, with 2 miles of Pipe Creek on the property, there are still spring-fed swimming holes and deep holes with bass, perch, and catfish to fish off the creek banks or on kayak. Please check with our ranch manager for current creek conditions.

Really enjoyed our stay at the house. It had everything we needed and then some! Just wish the pool heater had been working. Otherwise, we had a great time. Matt ( the ranch manager) was absolutely awesome and he’s the reason we felt safe with our baby and young children on the property. We had a great time!

We had the best time here! We saw jackrabbits, oryx, deer, fish, turkeys. We swam, cooked out and looked at the stars. Exactly what we needed! The property is beautiful and clean, and Patrick was incredibly helpful and nice. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

The property is beautiful and the lodging provided us with everything we needed for the stay. The pool and the outdoor living area was icing on the cake. Granddaughters loved fishing, paddle boarding and observing all of the wildlife...jackrabbits, armadillos, deer, wild pigs, turkeys. It is obvious that great care and attention to detail is made to make your stay very enjoyable.

Was a perfect break from the city. It is very remote with horses and deer everywhere you look. The house is new and clean and had everything we needed. So to add a pool and amazing outside kitchen and covered porch, it was perfect!

My family, our friends and their children loved visiting the ranch. The setting was beautiful, relaxing and adventurous at the same time. We enjoyed using the pool and outdoor kitchen. The view-scope in the house was an added thrill. We spent many hours spotting deer, turkey and the odd armadillo. We even used it so spot Saturn. The best part of the trip was the top-notch staff. David and Quincy took great care to show us the ranch. David guided us through the entire ranch, pointing out the animals and telling stories.Quincy spoke to the kids about caring for the deer. Beyond that the house was well kept and had all of the creature comforts. We look forward to returning in the spring and enjoying some fishing and water-sports. Rancho Madrono is an excellent place to visit.

We booked our trip last minute and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This house is very open and clean. Kitchen was well equipped. We loved the pool and outdoor cooking facilities. We rent several houses each year and this was the cleanest by far! My only reservation was I wish it was more affordable.
