Magnificent views, lakefront, 6 br,cozy, spacious, year-round amenities-all ages

The property was as advertised. Great access to the lake, nice firepit are, kayaks, game room... we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

We had a wonderful time at the property and everything was beautiful. The kids had a great time using the game room and the movie room was excellent for family movie night. We loved all the instructions posted throughout the house and was very helpful when using the movie room or the sauna. The host was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend the property to groups with teens and children.

We truly loved staying at this beautiful lakefront lodge! The photos were a perfect match to the home Everything was clean and clearly labeled. The host, Ms. Gaylene, was such a pleasure to work with and very easy reach via text. Although we were too early in the season to take advantage of the lake amenities, there were so many activities to do in the house that we hardly noticed. There were indoor and outdoor games, a movie theater, a swing set, beautiful decks to sit on, a hot tub (did not use), a wonderful sauna (did use). We had a lovely time! If you are in the area of Robbinsville, NC I highly recommend you stay here!!

This house was terrific and very clean Had every amenity available known to man. But, there were no cabinets left to put groceries. Small downside and it was a long drive to closest grocery. The children loved the hot tub and a few adults enjoyed the sauna. The owner was helpful and communities. Not a great area for bike riding for that enthusiast. But great for children with a plentiful game room and theater. Overall I give it a 10!

The house was amazing. Beautiful views, the sauna and hot tub was refreshing. The kitchen has everything 12 women could need for cooking and entertainment. Gravel road is manageable but may be difficult to drive for some vehicles.

Property was breathtaking. The view was amazing and the house was incredible. We had such a fun trip and it was so peaceful at the cabin. Everyone said they would want to come back again.

Gaylene was wonderful! I asked to leave Christmas decor up as this was our Sibling Christmas and it was! Host was very easy to communicate with and had quick responses! The property is Absolutely stunning!!!! I personally loved all the extra baby stuff as I have a 1 year old. Less I had to pack and bring with me. Completely stocked kitchen Above and Beyond Everything you could need and more! Plenty of room for all of us to gather together and do things on our own! Thank you

Awesome house for our family of 10. Teenagers enjoyed the game room and the theater. House is not convenient to run to the store so we came prepared and only left one day to head to Cherokee. Very relaxing time for all of us!!!

This house was great for our family Thanksgiving celebration! The amenities were top-notch and all were used, from the sauna, hot tub, fireplaces, movie room and games! I can also say that I have never stayed in a house that was so well stocked with everything you could need to prepare a family meal. So many applicances, pots, pans and dishware. The seating was comfortable and ample for our group. The only thing that keeps me from giving five stars is the cleanliness. There were dirty sheets in one bedroom downstairs and the bathroom floor down there was also not clean. It seems like it was overlooked by the cleaning crew and probably not a reflection of the owner’s standards but still affected the people staying in that part of the house. I would recommend staying here and think coming in the summer to try out the lake amenities will be next on our list!

A slice of heaven in the mountains! There's enough to do at the cabin that you'll want for nothing. We went out only to ride the train in Bryson City and spent the remainder of our time playing and relaxing at the cabin.

Pictures and reviews do not do justice for this property. The kitchen had more than enough dishes and utensils to use for our family feasting every meal. The rooms were accommodating and the bunk beds for the kids added memories to last a lifetime. There is so much to do that you will never have to worry about someone getting bored. We enjoyed boating, s'more’s by the fire, movies in surround sound, the hot tub, the sauna, and a little competitive corn hole tournament. Our family rated this property our best vacation destination yet!!! We would love to return.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. This is our second time staying. Our family loves it so we have decided to make this our annual family mountain retreat. Gaylene is wonderful.

Beautiful property! Clean and comfortable. So quiet and peaceful. Very secluded. So grateful owner corrected the WiFi issue before we arrived because as advertised there is no cell service away from the property for miles and miles. That took a little getting used to. Only suggestion for the owner is about so many instructions and security deposit warnings about the trash, grill, firewood usage - just gave us a little angst and was a wee bit unwelcoming. It is a great place but the owner is strict. Outdoor deck stairs were very slick after the rain - my adult son had a bad fall - but was only bruised. Also consider one nonstick pan for eggs! We ended up using the pancake griddle for our scrambled eggs! Fly fishing was challenging for my older husband due to the terrain.

Had a wonderful family vacation at this beautiful cabin located on Fontana Lake. This place has it all. Very family friendly. The host is prompt at replies and communicates well. The open concept on the main floor was awesome for our family. There are so many amenities and we enjoyed them all including the kayaks, hot tub, sauna, ping pong, pool and poker table. One of our favorite memories was spending time on the pontoon with our family. Breath taking views on the lake. So many memories made that we will carry with us forever.

I can’t say enough good things about this property. Everything you would ever need is there. I found nail polish remover which I forgot to pack and poison ivy cream if we needed it. The house is so beautiful and well stocked you never have to leave. Some rentals say accommodates 15that and only have 6 chairs. This house could sit 20 on the upstairs porch easily. Downstairs has these comfy “egg” chairs that are great for sitting with a good book. My family took advantage of almost everything that was available. Kayaks, paddle board, slide, hot tub, fire pit, theater room, and many games that were on the first floor. We rented the pontoon boat which was so much fun. Especially when my daughter fell in trying to dock the boat. It is not real close to anything, so driving 20 minutes to get groceries or a restaurant are normal. But we were happy to just sit and enjoy the house and the lake. We are Already thinking of coming back. The pictures don’t do it justice, you have to see for yourself. Gaylene did a fantastic job decorating and making sure you have a great relaxing vacation.

We can't say enough about staying at Gaylene's house. It's our second time back we love it so much. The kitchen is so well stocked which makes preparing big family meals a breeze. With labels on things, cleaning up the kitchen is hassle free. We enjoyed the lower deck this year on the egg swings during a rain storm. As usual, we enjoyed the boat, dock, kayaks, paddle board and hot tub. Thank you Gaylene for sharing your lovely house with us!

We had a wonderful stay at Fontana Passion. The lake access was excellent. The kids and adults alike enjoyed the beautiful porches, game room and theater room. Gaylene, the owner, has such great attention to detail and was so helpful along the way. She keeps her kitchen well stocked with anything you need for cooking.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this property. This house has everything you could want for an amazing week on Fontana Lake. Everything was spotless, beautifully furnished, and incredibly welcoming. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and every room was inviting. We especially loved the outdoor space; it was private, peaceful, and perfect for morning coffee, afternoons on the lake and a relaxing evening. The host was very responsive, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. If you're considering booking, don't hesitate, this property provides a great place to spend time with your family and friends. We already booked our next trip back!

Wonderful place for family vacation. House was clean, comfortable, very well stocked. Cabinets and drawers were clearly labeled saving search time. Lake was amazing; warm clear water, very little boat traffic. Abundant outdoor seating . Owner was quick to respond to questions and very gracious . Plenty of room for our large family to be together and also have their own space. Definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic stay as always!This was our 3rd Vacation at this fabulous house. The only disappointment was that the house was not nearly as clean as it was on our previous stays. It will not keep us from returning. We have made so many beautiful family memories here. Thank you Gaylene

Everything was great for our family, there was so much to do and we had so much fun on the lake. This place is beautiful and is perfect for a lake vacation.

Great remote lake house with all the amenities. Large kitchen that can accommodate big groups. Outdoor decks well maintained with plenty of seating and includes propane fire table. Sauna is very new and has great seating area. The walk to the dock is very easy and the dock is well maintained. Definitely recommend renting the pontoon boat and exploring around the extensive lake and inlets. Host was always quick to respond and enjoyable to work with.

Great cabin with the availability of a pontoon boat which we took advantage of. The only downside was the rainy weather. Otherwise cabin had it all. Great host and was available for anything that was needed.

This home sits right on Fontana Lake with opportunities for boating, Kayaking and more. Gaylene was very helpful in recommending restaurants and favorite nearby activities for us to visit. We stayed very busy exploring all that the mountains had to offer. Boating, hiking, zip lining, tree climbing, gem mining, fishing and kayaking. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking for a beautifully arranged and immaculately clean home that can accommodate large families and friends look no further than this mountain home on Lake Fontana. Our family had a fantastic stay at the Fontana Passion Lake Lodge. The place was very large with plenty of room to spread out and the views were amazing. The Lodge had everything we needed for our 5 night stay with friends. We slept 14 people with no problem. The game room, theater room, hot tub and sauna provided hours of entertainment. The owner was great with communication! It was a beautiful, quiet place tucked in the mountains. We would definitely stay again!

Great property! Big kitchen! We had 12 adult's, ages ranging from 22-55, plenty of space for all! This property is secluded so be prepared before you go, grocery shopping and supplies bought and packed up! Cant wait to visit in warmer weather sonwe can enjoy the beautiful water! Higjly recommend this property!

There were 7 of us…My husband and myself, a family of 5 ( three generations) and 1 dog.The cabin/lodge was clean, well stocked with everything you could possibly need inside and outside and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There was definitely plenty of room for everyone to relax and have space if need be. The decks are awesome!! Gaylene is very considerate…no issues on our end, she just filled us in on issues in the area. Very nice , helpful and thoughtful. Everyone had an amazing time!! We would definitely return!!Thank you so much Gaylene!!

The extended family and I took a trip to Lake Fontana a pre-Christmas get together. The property is amazing. All instructions are very clear regarding expectations. Plenty of room for our large group. Warm fires everywhere.Communication was great.Look forward to coming back into summer when the lake is up.

This cabin is by far, the most amazing cabin we have stayed in. My family and I rent a cabin every year for our annual Thanksgiving vacation. Our family members range in age from 17 to 80 so multiple amenities are a must to keep everyone entertained. Gaylene's cabin provided that and so much more! The cleanliness, the beautiful decorations to include a lovely Christmas tree, the attention to detail was so impressive. There was more than enough room for everyone and the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and linens. Everyone absolutely enjoyed the theatre in the basement with comfortable seating as well as the game room with ping pong, pool, darts and so much more. The cabin also has a great jacuzzi where you can relax and take in the amazing views of the lake. As a bonus, the cabin also has a beautiful sauna with different scents and oils of your liking. We definitely felt very spoiled. The kitchen is fully stocked and the dining area was perfect for our Thanksgiving dinner gathering. I was very impressed with how quickly Gaylene resonded when the fuse went out in the master bedroom. She is friendly, communicative and extremely thoughtful. I recommend this cabin 100% and I can definitely see us coming back!

The Camp was beautiful, cozy and decorated for the holidays! so glad to have found a large enough place to accommodate grandparents, parents and kudos with all the right size bedrooms. Not too far from our reservation on The Polar Express train in Bryson City. We’re looking forward to making a summer reservation!

4 adult children and our 82 year old mom came for a getaway. It was wonderful! Beautiful lodge. Only thing we needed to hring was our food and clothes. Game room and deck were perfect places yo enjoy each other's company

Every thing we needed and more. We cooked most meals and found a well stocked kitchen. Everything else else we needed was there. We were a party of ten and plenty of room for everyone. Great decks and game room. The home theater was very nice.

There were 10 of us that came up to ride the train. Gaylene stayed in touch with me throughout the process and made sure we had all pertinent info prior to arrival. I’m a cook and the house was by far the most well stock place I have ever been. She thought of everything. From the outdoor grill and accessories, to the “floating” chairs on the lower deck. You can tell she takes great pride in her property by how many amenities are offered and how well stocked every room is. If you get the chance, I would highly recommend staying here. We will be back in the future for a week in the summer. I would say 100⭐️s.

We’ve been vacationing for 10 years to this round about area every fall and this is by far the most amazing house we’ve ever stayed at. There was something for everyone! Lots of relaxation and large comfy areas for the adults to gather at and tons of fun exploring and things for the kids to do. We’re already booking our next trip here! Excellent communication with Gaylene. She was readily available and very accommodating. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need. We used and enjoyed every square inch the house and lake had to offer. As far as location it is definitely more remote which is nice but expect to drive about 40 mins to any of the trails or towns like Bryson City, and Cherokee. Positive note is the drive was beautiful.

I’ve stayed at several rentals and this was by far the best! My family and friends had an excellent time! There were 8 of us and we never felt crowded. There is something for everyone at Gaylene’s beautiful home. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen has EVERYTHING you could ever need. We cooked every meal together and enjoyed the large kitchen and dining areas. We spent every evening and morning on the deck enjoying the view. The dock made it possible for us to bring our boats to enjoy the lake. We will definitely book again! Gaylene left excellent instructions for everything including where we could park our boat trailer. Don’t hesitate- just book it❤️.

Everything you could possibly want. Best lake in North Carolina. Very little boat traffic. At times you go hours without seeing other boats. I plan on booking a week for my family till i'm dead. Great for children and adults. The rental is spacious and has every amenity you could ask for. The view overlooking the lake on the upper deck is beautiful and.is the place our group spent many hours grilling, eating and just relaxing. (also gated for us dog lovers) You can't go wrong. Better plan ahead. Seems like summer months fill up quickly. Rent the pontoon for an even better vacation.

This home lives up to all of the other reviews! It's a beautiful log cabin style home with a great view of Fontana Lake from the open living room and the large deck. The deck has several sitting areas, rocking chairs, and a porch swing. We watched the mist rise from the cove in the mornings and played games in the evenings. You will find everything you need for gourmet cooking and fine dining in the fully equipped kitchen. All of the beds are comfortable and the bedrooms are quiet. The dock was a highlight for our family, starting with the water slide! We tied our boat to one side of the dock and rented the pontoon that was tied to the other side of the dock. I think this is the nicest place we've ever rented for a family vacation. The lake itself is amazing. You will enjoy yourselves!

Our family of 6 adults and 1 teen stayed the first week in August of 2024. We loved the remote location. The home has absolutely everything you can imagine to provide for a week of entertainment. We rented the pontoon and loved going out on the lake almost daily. Day trips included Bryson City, Gatlinburg and climbs to Waterrock Knob Peak and Clingman's Dome where the views were breathtaking.

Overall the property is so much more than you can gather from the pictures. Absolutely stunning and nothing has been left unthought of. We had Great grandparents to 2 yrs old and all enjoyed the experience. We were so surprised at how warm the lake was, perfect for swims and soaks after hiking days. Things I wish I would have known...that road to the property is pretty scary for someone like me who's afraid of heights, but by the end of it I'd conquered my fear. There was no limit to what the property had to offer for activities, but highly recommend getting out and exploring while there. We did Joyce Kilmer, Yellow Creek Falls, Fontana Dam and Tapoco Lodge and Bear Creek Falls Thank you Gaylene for sharing your dream home with us.

This was our second time staying at the home and it was wonderful! We stayed over Christmas last time, but we couldn’t use the lake so we decided to move our Christmas up to July. We had a wonderful time! Can’t wait for our next trip celebrating Christmas in July again!

This house is a nice rental on a beautiful lake. We stayed here with our extended family. There are so many amenities offered. We enjoyed the ping pong table, movie theater, kayaks and slide the most. While there are a lot of movies provided, they are not in cases and quite a few of them are scratched so you may want to bring your own. The kitchen is fully stocked which is great for cooking. The extra ice machine is also very nice to have with so many people. The double decks are amazing for relaxing and enjoying your morning coffee. The owner reached out during our stay to inquire on any issues with the home that needed to be addressed which was nice. The floors are creaky from level to level so sleeping in can be a challenge. While the house is very nice, I don’t believe it is quite worth the high rental cost compared to other homes I have rented. Overall, the house is great and we had a wonderful time.
