Our family, a mature couple and three adult children and spouses, had an all-to-short week in the most unique surroundings we could ask for. After meeting the caretaker in San Michelle, we were delighted to drive into a olive grove and find this wonderful trullo. It was everything and more than advertised--spacious, modern, comfortable, quiet, and ideal for a family reunion. We chose this area of Italy because of the proximity to beaches on the Adriatic and Ionian seas, historic towns and castles, unique villages such as Alberobello and Francavilla and great food and wine. Adding all this together with such a lovely home in the midst of these attractions makes one ask--what more could one want? The answer? Return soon.

We spent our holidays in this very well restored trullo. We are two families (eight people in all) and we stayed two weeks in this beautiful place. During the day we visited the beautiful place that you can reach from here (the trullo is in a barycentric position to cover all the salento touristic places). Sometimes we went to the sea (both Adriatic and Ionic coastes have very nice beaches, such as Torre dell'Orso, Marina di Pescoluse, Porto Cesareo, Punta Prosciutto) and sometimes we visited the typical small towns (Ostuni, Alberobello, Trani, Lecce, Otranto, Gallipoli, Castel del Monte, and also Matera, that's not so far from here). Every day, in the evening, we loved to return to the trullo and its peacefully quiet. The fruit trees (almonds and figs, in this period!) all around the trullo, the red ground and the peacefully silence, make this place a really paradise (far away from the stress of the city!). We loved to see the falling stars in the august nights! Now, I'm back to the real life, but if I close my eyes I can still see this wonderful trullo!

We stayed in this exceptionally beautiful trullo from August 20 until September 2  2012. The trullo consists of a main building plus an annexe set in the most beautiful countryside in an area we had never been before. The trullo has been restructured with great taste, beauty and comfort. We met the ownwers who were extremely helpful with whatever we needed. Waking up in the morning to a vista of olive trees, fruit trees and a blue sky we ate our breakfast on one of the 3 patios, the only sound being the singing of the birds and crickets. Our daily routine consisted in the agonising choice of one of the many spectacular beaches on either of the two seas which are within easy reach, the Adtriatic or the Ionian Sea. These are amongst the most beautiful beaches I have seen anywhere in Italy.Puglia is famed for its cuisine and there are many wonderful restaurants in all price ranges, especially for those who like fish and sea food.We particularly enjoyed visiting the many small towns in the area such as Ostuni, Oria, Martina Franca, Lecce, Polignagno and Alberobello and for those who are willing to go a little farther Trani and Castel del Monte are not to be missed. The only negative point?  That we didn't stay longer!

Contrary to many advertisements this trullo is even better in real life than on Photos. Decorated with great flair it offers comfort and beauty together. The landscape is of particular beauty combining the red colour of the earth, the blue sky and the white trullo. The kitchen is really spacious and well equipped and the bedrooms/bathrooms give you a real sense of luxury. There are three patios which can be enjoyed at different times of the day. This was our first trip to Puglia which we undertook on the advice of friends and it turned out to be a real discovery. The beaches are just incredible. We went to a Natural Reserve called Torre Guaceto which is only a 15 minute drive from the trullo. If you enjoy being away from the rush, this is just the place.

A fantastic experience in a truly beautiful trullo. Decorated with great taste, the trullo is also extremely comfortable, every room having its own bathroom. Being an Italian I know most of my country but this is the first time I have been in Puglia and it will certainly not be the last. The owners are very open and friendly people always on hand when you need them and full of helpful suggestions. This trullo is for people who value privacy and tranquillity. Wonderful beaches nearby, great food and wine at prices we can only dream of in Rome. I highly recommend!

This trullo in Puglia is ideal. Living in this place provides a great combination of luxury, beauty, simplicity, style, and ease. I had the feeling that I could enjoy whatever my heart desired. If I wanted to spend a day at home relaxing the surroundings were ideal. On the other hand if I wanted to be at the beach the only issue was which one because the choices are all superlative. I’m always attracted to the outdoors and nature, it is so easy to live in this Trullo and at the same time to feel the earth and sun and the wonderful colors of the native plants that make up the surroundings. It is easy to be indoors and outdoors and to feel equally relaxed and comfortable in each place. There are so many wonderful touches to this place, for example the décor is truly beautiful, bathrooms are gorgeous and also extremely well appointed and functional, I cannot say enough to recommend this trullo with one exception and that is if one is looking for hustle and bustle and the energy of big city life this is not the place. But if serenity and beauty are important they are here in abundance.

Our wonderful Trullo trip began by meeting the caretaker in the beautiful town square. Using sign language, a few gestures, etc. he knew who we were and drove us to this Paradise-like place. Although you can see pictures, being in the space is another entirely wonderful experience. It has a fabulous feeling and, of course, that is helped by being so beautiful, but standing inside was really unbelievable. We prepared our breakfasts using fruit from the grounds + food from the nearby market and it all felt elegant and delicious. We had a car and toured the towns nearby everyday. When I go back, not if I go back, I will skip the car and only use my bike to explore all of that nearby, beautiful countryside. I have recommended it to many friends and only hope they visit. There were 4 of us, in September, and it was ideal weather.
