Welcome to luxury in the Blue Ridge Mountains, between Highlands and Clayton, Georgia. Our custom built mountain retreat is in an area undamaged by Helene. It has floor to ceiling fireplaces, abundant 20 ft. windows, with indoor pool, fabulous custom wine room, billiard room, separate game room and breathtaking long-range layered views of the mountains and Sky Valley. At approximately 3,800 feet, the 2-story, 9,600+ sq. ft. house is located in a paved-road community in Northeast Georgia that borders North Carolina. It is a house for every season, providing spectacular sunsets year round.

Hand-carved woodwork that was modeled off the Biltmore Estate, is found throughout the house. The property features a heated indoor pool, an outdoor hot tub, a fire pit, a billiard room, a gourmet kitchen, a theater, a 50's style diner, a wine room/lounge, and a game room that offers table hockey, video games, pinball and foosball. Stunning views from 2 levels provide ample outdoor deck space with outdoor heaters, patio furniture and a screened porch.

There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor, including the stunning master, and 2 bedrooms downstairs. All bedrooms offer king size beds and have their own bathrooms en suite. Two pull out sofa beds, which are appropriate for children, are also available in the game room area, which has its own half bath. There is also another half bath on the main floor.

Amenities abound in this area. There is something for everyone. Sky Valley's golf course, which is open to the public, is minutes away and other courses are nearby. We can also offer certain guest privileges at the club. An aerial park is nearby, as well as a tubing hill, and the Scaly Mountain Screamer coaster. Horseback riding is also available nearby.

There are hiking trails in nearly every direction, as well as lakes, waterfalls, white water rafting, horseback riding, fishing, farmer's markets, flea markets, antique stores, breweries, wineries, fine or casual dining, and shopping. Highlands, NC, is nearby. You can enjoy boating, kayaking, canoeing and fishing on Lake Burton, or many other lakes in the region, or lose yourself in the peacefulness of fly fishing on a beautiful stretch of water. The Appalachian Trail is nearby. The Bartrum trail is less than a mile away. You may want to mountain bike, or maybe visit Tallulah Gorge State Park, with 5 major waterfalls, or picnic at Black Rock State Park, with its 80 mile vistas of the Southern Appalachians.

Such a perfect house for a getaway! Every amenity you could want, and a breathtaking view every day. Owners were immediately responsive to all our questions, and sent a repairman out quickly to address an issue we were having with the theater room. It’s at the top of the mountain, so make sure you arrive during daylight hours, because it’s a long and winding road, and a little scary in the dark. Wi-Fi in the house is good, but be aware that once you leave the house, cell service is really spotty on the mountain. The top-notch kitchen has everything you might need to prepare meals for a big group. If you want to go out to dinner, Julep Farms is only about 15 minutes away, and Highlands is only about 25 minutes away (we tried Primary, Four65 Bistro, Ugly Dog Public House). Also Blue Hound Barbecue on Scaly Mountain, 10 minutes away, REALLY good. When we came back to the house after a day of hiking or zip lining or pickleball, we spent most of our time in the cool game room downstairs. Ping pong, air hockey, foosball, darts, pinball, PacMan! Plus a pool table and poker table upstairs. Truly an awesome place for a family or a group of friends. We would go back again in a heartbeat!

This home was better than the pictures showed. The sunsets were amazing, the home activities were awesome, family games were well stocked, kitchen was one of the best stocked rentals we have ever been in! We will definitely be back, we didn’t have time to enjoy everything there was to offer!

We visited this property last year for spring break and the kids begged to come back again this year. There’s something to do for everyone. Locally, we visited Julep Farms, Fortify restaurant, and Highlands Aerial Park, and all would be highly recommended. Thanks for a great stay!

Wow, just wow! The first view of the mountains as we walked into this gorgeous home took our breath away. Beautiful and well accommodating grand home located in a lovely neighborhood. We were treated to magnificent sunsets practically every night of our stay. Highly recommend!

We actually had family of all ages for part of the week and 3 other couple friends for the rest. It was absolutely perfect for both! The game room, movie theater, and pool was a hit with the kids - and the pool room, hot tub, bar, and extensive porches were perfect for the adults. The house was big enough for both groups to spread out and have plenty of room. The view is beautiful and we especially enjoyed the many birds. The hummingbirds were so fun. We had a great fire one night in the fire pit, including s’mores! And that was with the adult group! We used the amenities that are available in Sky Valley a few times - beautiful golf course. The drive to Highlands was easy and we shopped and ate a fantastic dinner at Wolfgangs one night. Overall, the trip was just wonderful and we’ll definitely plan to go here again.

This house is absolutely gorgeous. We had a wonderful time. The theater room was a big hit to all of us - the two kids especially. The decor was lovely, and the size of the house made it such that none of us were crowding the others.

This property is amazingly unique! There were so many things to do at the house that my kids didn’t even want to leave to go explore. Plenty of space to spread out and no one in our group of 9 was in each other’s way. Very secluded and private, the property is located on top of Ford Mountain and the view is spectacular! Would highly recommend!

This gigantic home was perfect for our group of 8 that ranged in age from 1 - 65. Tons to do at the home, tons of space to spread out, gorgeous mountain views. Couldn't ask for more!

My family and I are still on cloud nine from our magical trip staying at this special and beautiful home. We went with my parents and sister’s family and we made memories to last a lifetime. Much of the memories centered around this beautiful home. The home was so warm and cozy, we never wanted to leave. The house is very well stocked with everything you would need to make your trip easy and relaxing. The house was very clean and felt fresh and inviting. The owners were so kind and helpful with any questions I had. We look forward to booking a future stay at this amazing property. The town of Clayton was wonderful and so close to North Carolina. We easily made trips to and from. I have shared this property with everyone I know!

This house truly is luxury at its finest. We came with our nanny, my parents and our two little ones (under 5). Elicia, the owner was exceptional to deal with and the instructions they provide are extremely thorough so read them! Pay attention to the directions that Elicia gives you during check in because your GPS may fail you due to poor reception. The house was extremely clean (and I am a neat freak). Couple of helpful hints for parents: There are no window treatments, so light will shine in on all rooms. Standard size baby gate will work on all openings (stairs, doorways, etc..) For safety locks for cabinets, the standard side by side locks worked great. I would recommend Safety First Flex locks which can work on the outer doors as well as the cabinets. The only downside (and really not even worth complaining about) was having to take our garbage 20 mins away to Dillard, GA. Will definitely be returning in the future.
